Space Invaders

Space InvadersBack in the day, Space Invaders, by Japanese company Taito, was one of the coolest games to come along as it was one of the first (if not the first) electronic game ever to offer open-ended gameplay. What that means is that it's impossible to 'beat' the game, the aliens just keep coming at you relentlessly. The motivation came in the form of entering your initials on the high scores board listed on the screen between games. That was 25 years ago. This year, Taito plans to sell 10,000 brand-new stand-alone Space Invaders game machines to mark it's 25th anniversary. [Source: CNN]. And so, here is Space Invaders.

Don't think I haven't noticed you've been blogging daily. :)

Way to go.

If I teach 330 again, I'll probably send students your way to look at all your games.

Thanks for noticing Ms. Weez. =)

And please note that most of the games I link to were created by others. Games I've created myself are listed under Diversions along the side bar.

Hopefully after graduation (yay!) I'll have time this summer to create more original games of my own. In the meantime... click. ;-)

finaly on the top 10 list!
it also get repeditive that they can kill you 5 times in 3 seconds!!
its times like that you want to throw your computer accross the room!!

im 5th on top ten
this game really isnt that hard
i just gave up at 135000 because i had full lives and it wasnt getting any harder.
and i dont see how anyone in there right mind could devote all the time it would take to get over 200k
"hmmmm i think im going to sit here all day and play space invaders, im sooo cool"
this would probably be something a diehard space invaders fan would say.

You say that like it's a bad thing. =p

Or, is what you're saying is it's time I reset the high scores?? Yes, I think that's what you're saying. =)

uh jay, why are people posting with my name?
and another thing, i think all the posts got a bit screwed up when you changed sights, all my old posts are moved, so the next post is what i said, but its under another name

and to everyone else
Deathbaron is MY name!!!!!!

I think you may be mistaken, Deathbaron.

lol wow.
that line is misleading

I don't understand why people like this game. :( It bores me to death.

Yes, I think the line "separating" the comments is very misleading too. Either put the names on top, or put the line under the names. As it is now it looks like the previous poster wrote the post under it.

ya know, this reminds me of that futurama episode =)
