It might be a little hypocritical of me to tell you to "rise and shine" today, since I'm writing this while half awake and it took me six tries to spell "hypocritical", but, well, do as I say and not as I do. RISE AND SHINE! You're alive, and it's another beautiful day on this spinning rock, alive with the potential... to play escape games! This week! Esklavos might be able to pull a bunny out of a hat, but a magician probably can't cure the common cold. And a double dose of Vitamin Hana sends you both to the world's smallest butterfly garden, and then to a tiny deserted island for complaining about it.
Butterfly Garden - The name of this game from Vitamin Hana might be a tad misleading, since it conjures up images of a tranquil, sunlit area surrounded by a delicate wrought-iron fence and filled with a heady assortment of flowers bowing beneath the weight of butterflies... and instead you get four towering concrete walls, some sickly looking bushes, and some very lazy butterflies hanging out, y'know, on the ground. But, well, butterfly beggars can't be butterfly choosers, I suppose, and besides... who doesn't like a little bit of puzzles peppered in their nature?
Rabbits and Magic - Colds are terrible, but maybe the next time you get one, you should use it as an excuse to stay in bed all day and watch cartoons instead of going to a magician to spell the sickness away. Too bad this kid didn't listen, and instead of curing him, the magician's made him vanish, so you'll have to get him back yourself. You'll need to fill out a map to travel to different locations, naturally, and sharpen your eyes, because there there be pixel hunting!
Escape the Island 2 - A double dose of Vitamin Hana? Don't mind if I do! This place may look all innocent and tropical, but if there's anything I've learned from Bear Grylls, it's that everything is hunky dory until BAM! You're squeezing a centipede into your mouth and covered in cow dung. So to avoid that, let's try to find a way off of this tiny island... fortunately, if you're like me and can't manage to be outdoors without hurting yourself within two minutes, much less find a shelter and start a fire, you'll just need to solve some puzzles to escape!
We love escape games, and our readers love talking about them and sharing hints! How about you? Let us know what you think, ask for clues, or help out other players in the comments below.
In Rabbits and Magic
I never found a hint for the bird & flute
You just need to get it to peck at the right spot for the last coin
Hm. Stuck in Butterfly Garden.
Have Spade, Hedge Clippers, Seed Packet, and (filled) Watering Can. Need either green numbers, key for lock box, blue shapes, or color code. Nothing working anywhere.
POP is real.
Stumps of cut bushes can be dug up.
I could use a hint in Rabbits and Magic.
In the Magician scene, I can't figure out how to get all the rocks in the water to light up using the pearls. I can only get all but 4 lit up. How do I place the pearls so that all of the rocks light up?
Kyttnjirr,
It's not just the circles that make the dots light up
I think you're attempting that puzzle wrong?
You don't need to light them ALL up. Find the hint elsewhere (I think Aquarium?) on the pattern you need to make.
@Chris,
I missed the hint the first time around, or rather, I didn't realize what it was for. Now that you've said that, though, I figured it out and now can move on. Thanks very much for your help! ^u^
The only part that got me was
the carrot. I wasted a lot of time trying to feed it to the bunnies
It was for the map apparently!
Butterfly Garden:
I'm down to the hedge trimmers and the sledge-hammer. All the other tools have been used and are gone. As far as I can tell, I've clicked on everything that can be clicked with both items, and without, and nothing's happening.
Michael:
Are you sure you cleaned out both of the toolboxes?
Wow, I am totally stuck on Escape the Island 2. I've got a rock, umbrella, vine, and what looks like a slingshot elastic and pouch...and no idea what I'm missing.
and POP! nevermind :)
@deadman, pretty sure I'm stuck at that exact same spot on the island :-(
I am so proud - I solved all three without clues!
Thanks, Dora!
@swooning:
have you used the umbrella
on the sign?
ARGH, thank you, I thought I had tried every possible combo! Out, phew.
