The week is over, the new Weekday Escape is here!
The first and the second games are by Selfdefiant and you can compare his 'old' style game to the new 3D style. Cute escape by Detarame Factory is on a longer side and has many good puzzles, joy to play. The last comes an adventure by Yotalen Games and beware that the game is rough. It contains violence and blood.
Have a good time and enjoy!
Hooda Escape 6th Grade Field Trip Water Park
It's time for another field trip with Selfdefiant, this time to a water park. The weather is fine, the answers to mathematic questions easy, but everybody around is kind of messy and keep losing their stuff...and you're the one who is supposed to find it. On the other hand, you're rewarded for the finds and without it you wouldn't escape.
The cursor isn't changing, no save option, one ending.
Escape Old Ghost Town
Selfdefiant takes you for a trip to the wild west (not with 6th grade). A small town where you end up broken without a horse or money isn't deserted though; soon you meet few residents and each of them need something different - and so you set for exploration of the town and try to find it or trade it. Your final goal is a gold bar - at a train station, they told you that that's your railway fare.
The cursor is changing, autosave, one ending.
The Adventures of Space Squirrel
Cute Detarame Factory's game is not about adventures of Space Squirell. It's about preparations. Outside a small house where you are locked is parked a rocket without power, and the squirell gives you the door key only after you have charged the ball (it's in your inventory from the game's beginning). Notice, that when you find AC controller and put two batteries in it, the controller disappears from your inventory. I don't know whether it's a bug or not but you can easily finish the game without it.
The cursor isn't changing, no save option, one ending.
Yabatanien
Point-and-click adventure by Yotalen Games isn't for everybody. It contains violence, blood, gore and elaborated puzzles. You find yourself in front of a tower where are imprisoned eight girls - not just locked in prison cells but tightly tied, and devices like circular saw and similar are involved. The objective is obvious. You need to figure out how to rescue them...the consequences of your actions can be (and often are) lethal, though.
The cursor isn't changing, save option, five endings.

Pixel hunt for the snack bar window lock in SelfDefiant's Field Trip.
Pixel hunts—ugh.
Escape Old Ghost Town
Not sure if a bug:
When I went back to the saloon, the girl has moved forward and when i give her the perfume she tells me feel free to have a drink. However, because of her position, she is in the way of the bottle and just says thanks again.
I already have the canteen but since I don't have access to the bottle I can't fill it up and cannot continue with game.
The Adventures of Space Squirrel was fun, but about pulled my hair out over the locker with the three sliders. It would have been nice if
they had left the flowers in their bloomed state after turning the light back on.
With that remaining in view, the solution to the locker would have been quite simple.
I had to give up on Escape Old Ghost Town. Games where the system cursor is changed to a custom cursor tend to be really flaky for me, and here, the cursor state wasn't changing quickly enough for hotspots to be clear. I'm okay with a lot of things in escape games, but pixel hunting, hotspot weirdness, and general bugginess turn me off in a hurry.
If you wait long enough (??) she moves back to original position and bottle is accessible.
I hope text walkthroughs are on it's way. They can help a lot when people are stuck. it's been weeks since we've had some. I hope someone can help. Thanks.
I too had to give up on Old Ghost Town; extremely awkward navigation, buggy, slow--both in Safari & Chrome.
Sorry about the issues with Escape Old Ghost Town. The game runs fine on my pc so I didn't know. There are only very few good escapes these days and it's worse during the holidays.
Old Ghost Town worked fine for me, no problems. I liked the style of the graphics.
