JohnBStrawberry TomatoStrawberry Tomato is a brand new room escape game from the Gotmail team of Japan, the same folks behind Il Destino, The Privacy and The Shochu Bar. You begin locked in a vacation home trying to find a way out to meet a mysterious woman. The layout and general design of Strawberry Tomato is similar to Gotmail's previous releases: move around the room using the arrows on the side of the screen, and click on objects to examine them. Puzzles force you to look in every conceivable corner for items and clues, so keep your eyes peeled for suspicious spots in the distance and objects that beg to be moved.

Expect the same great-looking 3D visuals as before, but this time you're trapped in an Arabian-themed room and must hunt for clues to escape. Investigate cabinets and drawers, look behind chairs and piece together number puzzles all in search of an elusive key that leads to freedom.

Analysis: The Gotmail point-and-click games all offer very pleasing eye candy including 3D rendered models and elaborate environments. It should be no surprise to learn their games keep increasing in popularity with every release. This is not necessarily a good thing since the Gotmail servers don't seem to be able to keep up with the load. We had to wait the better part of a day just to get a browser to load the game. Once the game was loaded, however, it was smooth sailing.

In terms of gameplay, there were several moments that the game seemed like a click fest while attempting to find all the hidden hotspots, which aren't always obvious. Pixel hunting is alive and kicking in this Gotmail production, but if you can get past that there is an engaging game with some challenging puzzles in the usual Gotmail style. It's a game that will surely please point-and-click and room escape aficionados around the world.

Play Strawberry Tomato

Note: To those having difficulty getting the game to load: if at first you don't succeed, reload, reload, reload. You know you're getting closer when you are asked to choose a language, Japanese or English. If, after selecting a language, a white percentage indicator does not appear (give it a few moments), reload again or you may be waiting all day for naught. Total download size: 10MB.

Detailed walkthrough for Strawberry Tomato

  • Move chair from right side table. Zoom in under the table, what's that little dot on the wall next to the chair leg? Click on it, notice the outlet.

  • Zoom all the way out. Check out the left table. You can move the chair out of the way, but why?

  • Zoom out to the view of the corner with the blue door and the big stone. Zoom in on the little picture on the wall. Take note of the shape in the corner and the number underneath the picture (they change each time you play).

  • Zoom in on the blue door. Click the doorknob…it's locked.

  • Zoom out and click on the trash bin. You found and OUTLET ADAPTER. Well we know where this should go. Return to the first table and try plugging it in. It won't fit. Maybe you should have a closer look at this adapter. Double click to examine an object. As you examine the adapter you realize it has many types of plugs on it. Click till you see the 3 round prongs set in a triangle. Then click on it one more time so they face away. Now try plugging it in. Aha, it fits.

  • Zoom out. Let's keep looking around. Go left twice so you're 1 screen to the left of the blue door. Another little picture on the wall. You know what to do. Don't go away yet. There's something peeking out from behind the big terracotta pot. Let's check it out. It's a panel with the word CLOSE on it. Nothing to do here yet. Zoom out.

  • Go left and click on the white shirt so it moves out of the way. Check out the picture that was hiding and make a note. Zoom in on the painting under the shirts. There's a code to be found. Maybe the numbers behind the pictures will have something to do with it.

  • Zoom out and go left. Let's check the main door juts for kicks. Yes, it's locked. Zoom out and go left. There's another table. Zoom in twice. What's this thing in the square box? Looks like a little white ball, but you can't pick it up. It's not a little white ball, but a light. Leave it where it is. You can move this chair out of the way too, but why? Click on the plant to learn it's a Gooseberry plant.

  • Zoom out once and click low to zoom in on the big terracotta pot in the corner. Click twice to move it out of the way. Something is in the mouse hole. Click and you get a WOODEN STICK.

  • Zoom out and go left. Zoom in on the fireplace. It's too dark to see inside. Zoom out. There's another picture on the right to take note of. Click on the cabinet. You can't open it. Not much in your inventory but what the heck, let's try. Highlight the WOODEN STICK and the door opens. You get a SHIRT. Now open the one next to it. It's empty. Move left and open the dessert case (dark little knob on the left). Get yourself a GOOSEBERRY JELLY. Zoom out and go left. There's something on top of the dessert cabinet. Take a look. Something needs to sit there.

  • Zoom out and check out the rest of the cabinets on the left. Open the bottom right cabinet. There's nothing there. But wait…there's a faint outline against the back. Click on it. It's a panel that opens to reveal a mechanism with the word CLOSE on it. Try pushing the bottom of the gray part and watch a quick scene. Aha… something needs to hold this one in place so the other panel you found earlier can also be activated, You have a stick, give it a try. Nope, not this time. Zoom out and open the bottom left cabinet. It's empty too. Move up now. Those two little ones are fake drawers. Move up. Open both cabinets and zoom in on the bowls. You lift each one up and you find a red STONE. Nothing else of interest in this cabinet. Time to try the top. The left one is empty. Open the one on the right and zoom in. It yields a BOABAB TREE plant.

  • Zoom out once. There's something poking out from behind the left of the cabinet. Look at the picture and note the symbol and number. Zoom out and click on the floor near the left of the cabinet. There's something behind there. You can't reach it, but you have a long stick. Use your stick and you get an ELECTRIC FAN. Examine the fan and click on the blue outer part of the fan so it folds down to create a stand. Put it back in your inventory. The table with the outlet is just to your left. Go ahead and plug in the fan and turn it on. As it spins you see a letter. Make a note of it.

  • Zoom out and go left to the locked door in the corner. Highlight your dessert and try the knob now. Must be some dessert to open a locked door. Go into the cellar. Go left and take a look around. Zoom in and then again on the right where there's a gray rectangle looking thing against the wall. You realize it is water. Zoom out and eyeball the little canal thing that the water flows down. It goes to the steps. Zoom in on where the water meets the steps. You find a dark STONE. Now look at the round thing in the middle. Something round looks like it should fit here. Put the BOABAB TREE in the center. You notice 3 little holes where little round objects might fit. You have 2 stones you need a third. Leave the cellar.

  • Go to the floor between the two tables. Zoom in on the floor. A hold magically appears in the floor. You try your stones but they don't belong there. Try the WOODEN STICK. But before you put the stick in the hole, examine the stick and zoom in on the hole. Now put the RED STONE in the stick's hole. Then put the stick in the hole on the floor. Click on the lower half of the stick (this could take some doing) and you will be taken to a view of the red stone that now shines light into the fireplace. Don't pull out the stick. Go to the fireplace and retrieve a STATUE. Examine the statue. It's quite dirty. Now you can go back and retrieve your WOODEN STICK. Examine it and take the RED STONE back out.

  • Take your dirty STATUE and go to the cellar where you can rinse it off. Now your statue is clean. Examine your STATUE, turn it around and note the map on its back. There is an arrow telling you where to put the STATUE. Leave the cellar and walk around the room. You can't help wondering why you can zoom in on that little light in the square box on the table. Put your STATUE on over the light and click on one of the light holes. Take a look at it. Note the letter. Take your STATUE back. Remember that resting spot on top of the dessert case shown on the statue's map? Try you statue there next. Okay, nothing happens. But he does look like he's pointing at something. Zoom out once and click the top of the cabinet. Get a pair of SUNGLASSES. Take your STATUE back. You're not done with him.

  • Go to the blue double doors. Click on a glass pane to zoom in. Then click the lower right corner of the window by the chairs to zoom in. "It reflects the sky like a mirror." Well, you haven't found any mirror. Do you have anything else that might reflect? Try your SUNGLASSES. A series of shapes appear. Note their order. You've seen these shapes before and they correspond to numbers. Now you can get the code for the painting beneath the shirts. When you see UNLOCK zoom out. Look at the painting and slide the painting down to reveal a grid. If you took the time to examine your statue closely, you've seen something like this before. If not, examine the back of your statue.

  • Remember those two letters you found? They are coordinates on the grid. Find the box they correspond to and click on it. A red dot will be there. Look at your statue again. Where in the room would the spot of the red dot be? (The coordinates for the red dot change with each game). Find the spot that the diagram shows and zoom in on the floor in that area. You get a MINIATURE HOUSE. And oh, joy, another code to find. You try the one you already found but it doesn't work. Go back around the room and check all the pictures again. They now have different numbers corresponding to the shapes. Get the new set of numbers. Now you try the new numbers with your old sequence. Nothing happens. Maybe there's a new sequence. Go back to the sunset view and try your SUNGLASSES again. Now you get a new sequence of shapes. Examine your MINIATURE HOUSE and try your brand new code. Voila! It works and you get a STONE. Now you have 3 stones. You know where they go. Off to the cellar.

  • Place the three stones in their respective slots around the BOABAB PLANT. Ooh, pretty lights. The plant goes into the stone. Click in the hole to view the plant. Now leave and take a walk around the room. Go back and check on your plant. It's grown a little. Zoom out and zoom back in again. It's grown a little more. If it hasn't, leave the room and come back. Click around the branches of the BOABAB plant. You snapped a BRANCH off. Examine the cut end of the branch and read the comment. An insect? A hint, perhaps? Leave the cellar.

  • Go to the table with the plant and light box on it. Click on the upper left window pane. You've opened a window. You might let an insect in. Highlight your BRANCH in your inventory and click on the large wooden post in the corner near the window (near the middle of the post). You've smeared the sap on the post. Don't waste your time staring at it. Take a walk. Go back and look at the sap…nothing. Walk around some more. Keep doing this until you see a bug stuck on the sap. Take the beetle and examine it. Keep clicking on the beetle until it's really pissed off.

  • Go to the secret panel in the bottom right cabinet left of the dessert case. Zoom in and use your BEETLE on the mechanism. It now says OPEN and so does the other hidden panel. Go to the other panel. Incase you can't find it again, it's behind the big terracotta pot next to the bench. Open the panel and see a box inside. From the box get a SPOON. You might be feeling kind of hungry about now but you can't eat your dessert. This is a special dessert, you must find a perfect spot to eat it.

  • If you have the stick and statue still in your inventory you can put them in back in the last place you used them (hole in the floor and resting spot on the dessert case). Perhaps go look at a lovely sunset, but which view. Perhaps one you haven't looked at yet. Go to the table by the fan on the floor. Move the chair out of the way and click the chair seat. You get a sunset view. Now you can enjoy your dessert. To eat the jelly, you need to turn the fan so that it's facing the chair. If you still can't eat it you may need to visit the website by clicking the link that you see when you examine your GOOSEBERRY JELLY. You should go there anyway, because I think you can't finish the game unless you at least open the link, for me it opened in a new window but for others it didn't, so make sure you open the link in a new window.

  • So now you've eaten, but you're still locked in. What about the plant? Go take a look at it. Aww, there's a little blossom on it. Better leave it alone for a bit. Leave and come back again. Now the blossom has become a nut. Pick the NUT off the tree. Examine the NUT. It splits open to reveal a KEY!!! Time to leave this joint. Use the KEY on the double doors and leave.

Got through to the server, now waiting for the game to load...(45 minutes later) halfway done. Bleh. Is it my connection or does it take that long?

Gotmail games are worth the wait though. =D

Reply

Yeah they're worth the wait, but the server is probably too busy now, we should try again in a few hours.

Reply

Is there supposed to be a scene where it's

totally blacked out?

or is it a bug?
and how do I get to

the picture beside the fireplace?

Reply

electronicfly - I didn't have any trouble with the picture next to the fireplace.

Start with the view in which the fireplace is on the left and you're looking towards that corner of the room, and click on the picture. That should move you closer. Clicking once more on the picture should bring it up in full view.

Reply

This game reminds me of all the reasons I never beat the other games by Gotmail. Just plain old unintuitive.

Things like

having to use the stick to open the lockers.

or

only being able to open the *left* drawer in that cabinet.

Especially the pixel clicking required at some points.

I mean, they're great to look at, I just can't stand playing them. Sorry, but for how hard it was to get the game to load it's just wasn't worth more than five minutes of my time.

Can someone tell me what this means:

When I click the "play" link this is all I see for over 15 minutes now...

Is it something like, we're sorry but we have taken this link down, otherwise I am unable to even play.

Rewyn: That means, basically: the server is too busy, try again.

until you select english and get a %age, pretend that's the message you're getting.

Ok..need help..can't figure any more. I have a stick, shirt, orange ball, a plant and an outlet...help!

Reply

who knew the right number sequence?

Reply

My status bar disappeared. All I get when I refresh is the red outline and the banner at the right side, but no status bar. Even when I keep refreshing it doesn't show up.

What now?

Reply

I have the orange ball in the end of the stick in the hole in the floor between the chairs in front of the window. I found the fan behind the cabinent closest the window, I plugged it in using the adapter found in the other cabinent. When turned on it spins and shows the letter U. I have opened up the bottom right cabinet and found the open/close switch - but I have no way of holding it down. I have clicked nearly every where and only have the plant left in my inventory still "use-able" I can't click on the mirror on the table - though I think its important.

Reply

how do you get the

plant off the table? I was thinking maybe the plant goes into the middle of the wooden thing in the other room? just a guess, but i can't even get the plant.

Reply

I found out something more. not much, but it is somethinge^^

I have the same things as TV has (my letter in the fan is a "K", but after clicking on the perle in the stich, while being pluged in the hole between the chairs a videosequence started, so i found a sculptur in the fireplace.
I was able to plug this thing into the candleholder on the long desk (I got an "A").
I also got a crystal of gooseberrygelee.

So long
keep on searching^^

By the way: can anyone open those drawers?

PS: sorry for possible incorrect english, but i'm from germany.

Reply

OH!

nevermind, i found the plant..

Reply

Where is the hole in the floor to put the stick between the chairs? I can zoom in on it, but I can't do anything with the space?

Reply

She-nomad - keep trying. I was getting the status bar without a percentage complete indicator for a long while yesterday without any progress made whatsoever. It wasn't until after I reloaded and got the percentage indicator did I finally download the game and then was able to play.

Good going, TV! That's one item I don't have. Thanks! :D

@ rach
May you have to use the ventilator first.

I noticed something additional.

If you look at those smal picturs closly, you may notic, that they are, if you hold them in one row, seem to be a panorama of some kind of hairdresser shop.

Reply

That hairdresser shop is from a previous game from Gotmail.

Reply

How do I plug in the fan? I can't find any adapter.

Reply

Hole in the Floor:

After I turned the fan on, I looked closely and clicked around on the carpet - a small black hole opened up.

You have to

click the base of the stick, and the movie shows. Then go to the fireplace for the figurine.

About the photos

Is there also a connection between the shading of the buttons and the colors on the images/frames? I have tried a ton of options, must be one of those, "you can't do that yet" puzzles

Reply

How do you get the adaptor?

You can get a glass of gooseberry jam if you open the glass cabinet with the stick and you can get a tee shirt from the cabinet to the right of that. You can also open the upper left blue window for some reason and if you click on the window to the left of the door, when your close up on the door, it shows a pool that reflects the sky "like a mirror"

Reply

TV - that's very odd:

the fan won't plug in for me even with the adaptor plugged into the wall. :(

Reply

Symbols/Pictures/numbers =

Star = 9
"X" = 1
square = 4
circle = 7

Reply

Oh! fan:

must be 'opened' first before plugging in. Who knew!

Reply

Adapter:

double click it - so the three prongs are "in the back" and then click it in the menu - then the outlet on the wall. It took me a few tries - but its one click past the "three prongs" facing you position.

Reply

@ jay
I needed to click on the fan first in this "about-item-mode".
The fan should get some kind of stabilisator in the back.

Reply

i guess i'm just dumb, i have no idea how to get the fan plugged in, it's opened and everything, it just won't go in. all that happens is "is this an outlet?" and i know it is!

Reply

I think, there must be a way to clean the sculpture.
It belongs to the platter over the vitrine.

Reply

The single door opens up to show a well of some sorts. There's running water, but no way to clean the sculpture that I see.

There's a blue orb near the steps of the well, in the water.

Reply

I've found two places to put the figurine:

In the platter over the jelly case

and

In the dish on the table with the white marble inside.

Reply

Has anyone found the second marble?

I mean, other than the red and blue ones?

Reply

I've heard mention of both an orange ball, and an outlet adapter. I can't find either of them (and I've looked through all doors of the cabinets by the jelly, except the drawers which I can't open).

Reply

What does the triangle sympol represent? It's beside the cabinet by the window.

Also, how did you open the single door?

Reply

i cleaned the figurine in the fountainroom on the right side, were the water comes out off the wall.
The tree have to be placed in the middle of the fountain

We need a third stone.

Reply

Here's how to get the code:

note the symbols and their numbers (there are five of them)

put the statue on the platter above the cabinet; click where it points

get sunglasses, go to double door, click window, then use sunglasses on the vista

then, go and put in the numbers and pull down the chart

Reply

More info on the well:

The red marble goes in the bottom hole, the blue goes in the left hole, and the plant goes in the center.

Still haven't found that second marble, but I think it's in the jelly.
Oh, and I don't know how, but I managed to clean the sculpture...

...and on the back was a map pointing at the jelly case.

Reply

Using sunglasses:

The sunglasses on top of the cabinet, next to where the statue goes, will show the order of the numbers to use, when you look at the water that reflects the sky.

Click on the water with the sunglasses selected, and you'll see the set of symbols that are on the paintings. Use the numbers to unlock the panel. The panel shows a map of the room, with coordinates. I don't know what good it is.

Reply

Maybe the last marble is the withe one in the light on the long table, but how to get it out?

Reply

@rach: I want to say it opened it with the stick, but I'm not quite sure myself...

Reply

when I look at the pictures with the symbols on them, shouldn't there be something on the black when I move the frame?

The statue...

will point you in the right direction, then you can pretend to be Corey Hart....

Reply

Ack! I've got the spoon, but I "don't feel like eating" the jelly...

Reply

last marble

you have to use the 2 letters you found earlier as coordinates on the diagram behind the painting - click that square and a red dot will appear

red dot

if you look at the map on the back of the statue while you're looking at the grid -like an overlay - the red dot will be in a spot on the floor where you can click to get a small house model. Then you have to look at the sunglasses outside again to get the code for the little house but the symbols now have new numbers so you have to look at all the little pictures again to get the code

After that you get the marble

Reply

Figured out the grid behind the painting...

It's the letter you get with the fan/ventilator and the letter when you put the little statue on the white orb

Click on the plant to learn it's a Gooseberry plant.

To be continued...

I had to adjust the fan.

ok - i've clicked everywhere and can't find the fan... Help me please!!

So, how long until I feel ready to eat the jelly?

Reply

There's an important point missing from the walkthrough:

To eat the jelly, you need to turn the fan so that it's facing the chair.

Reply

to eat the jelly make sure

that the fan is turned towards your chair

Reply

Thank you funnyman and zeek!

I've been clicking on the website (I really want some gooseberry jelly now! ;) ) constantly and haven't been able to do anything.

did anyone else think the flower on the plant looked like an egg?

Reply

I have to agree with the_corruptor. the pixel clicking gets really old really quick. after having various items and not being able to do anything with them I resorted to the walkthrough and was not even able to find the "spot" to click on (even when being told where to do it)... a little annoying and with a two year old pulling at your arm just not possible to do (I know not every one has a two year old pulling on their arm :-D)

I put the red marble in the stick, the stick in the hole, got the light on but maybe pulled away too quickly? So I haven't got whatever is in the fireplace. Now when I click on the stick I can't get it to light again. Clicking on the bottom half view it comes out perhaps thinking I've used it.
Do I have to start all over again?

Reply

Argh, yes, this one had little of the charm of the others. The puzzles were just kind of stupid, and defied logic. About the role of the dessert:

Come on, it can open doors?? I don't _think_ so!

The graphic at the end was kinda pretty, I guess. But for the amount of time it took to load, the game really wasn't worthwhile.

Reply

I can't seem to get a beetle! I put the sap on the pillar by the open window like ten minutes ago. I opened the window pretty early in the game though, long before I got the tree branch- does that make a difference? Am I going to have to start all over? Arg!

Reply

when i click the branch it doesnt say insect or anything just that theres sap on the branch..

Where is the

nut in WT post nr 44?

Reply

How do I get the fan? I finally resorted to looking at the walkthrough, but I still have not been able to spot it and I can't seem to find the right pixel blindly clicking. Details below

I have tried clicking on the lower left area while zoomed in once to the cabinet (with the jellies and one chair visible), zoomed in twice (the left edge of the code picture visible), and unzoomed (table with both chairs and jellies visible). In all cases I'm clicking to the right of or slightly below the chair, since clicking to the left of or on the chair zooms in to the table.
If there isn't an easy way to describe where I'm supposed to click in more detail, perhaps define a particular screen and a pixel offset from the top left corner?

Rewyn... nice walkthrough.

Two clarifications:

1. When you put the sap on the post, you must look at the gooseberry plant on the table before you look back at the post. Then you will see the beetle.
2. I finished this without clicking on a link for a web site.

Thank you!

not the best of escape games. i mean

why a stick to open cupboards?

and

a dessert that unlocks doors?

no logic to most puzzles.

Reply

Hmm, finished. Have to say I loved the atmosphere and graphics especially in this one...but...ARGH. Some of the puzzles are so illogical, like

pudding opening door, stick opening lockers

, that I know I couldn't have completed it without a walkthrough. Also pixel hunts like

endlessly clicking on the stick once you've put it in the ground, to try and activate the stone thingy...

are frustrating and unnecessary. I also find the parts where you have to wait around and then go back to see that something has changed odd - in games like this, you generally trigger something by actively doing something else. It's just not intuitive.
Could have been amazing, but quite frustrating really.

Hello I am from Holland and love your page and....of course the games.

But.......in my game there is no fan at the left of the cabinet. Maybe a bug in my game? Or is the fan not in every game in the same place. I looked over and over at the left of the cabinet, but really...there is no fan.

for the locked blue closet door (correction for walkthru)

It's locked, but if you click on the handle about 10 times, it will suddenly come loose. No need to use an item on it.

This game was VERY illogical. Thanks for the walkthru, I wouldn't have finished without it :|

just one clarification..

where it talks you thru finding the red stone, you may want to add to click on the left draw. I spent about 20min clicking on all the bowls in different orders looking for the darn red ball :P

lovely game. couldn't have beaten it without the walkthrough though =\ i mean, come on, i don't mind pixel-hunting, but lots of nonsensicalness like

using the stick to open the cabinets and having to eat the jelly in just the right spot in order to move on and using the jelly to open the cellar door...

Much thanks to Rewyn for the walkthrough. =)

Reply

I cannot find the fan. Someone PLEASE - a little assistance in that area? I've been able to do everything up to the stone room, but from the time onwards from that, there's no hole in the ground. =\

Regarding the stick for the cabinet -

What's so weird about using a stick to pry apart doors that are tightly closed? I didn't think twice about that.
Although, the pudding for the door was decidedly uncreative and lame.

you should click on the window in front of the chair with the fan facing you. i ate it with the beautiful sunset view. also, the t-shirt should be in the inventory before you can eat the jelly.

Point-and-click games are known for logical sequences. This game was terrible!! Nothing made any orderly sense. Why did a hole magically appear in the floor the 3rd time I looked at the floor rather than the first? Man, almighty. The creators of this one need to re-think how they're treating the gamer here. Without a walkthrough, I would've stood no chance. That's coming from someone who beat Myst, Riven, and Exile without a hint. Whew. I'm exhausted.

Reply

I found out you do not have to click the link in order to finish

Reply

Yeah, I did not like this one all that much. A lot of things were WAAAYY too obscure to figure out.
Holding a stick to unlock doors? Or a dessert even?!
Turning the fan around to eat the damn dessert?
The statue made NO reference to placing it over the light, only it's resting place.
And placing sap on the large corner post? Not a clue.
It looked great, but you either needed a lot of help, or wasted a lot of time with random clicking.
Their other games are great, but this one pissed me off. Sorry

A couple of things....

I found that I couldn't get the screen showing the back of the cupboard with the fan until after I had plugged the ADAPTER into the OUTLET.

First time through the red stone was under a cup in the cupboard...but...I accidently closed the screen and had to start over. Second time, the red stone was in one of the drawers...which would only open when the cupboard doors above were open.

Also, I didn't have any website show up to click...I finished the game without that.

Reply

Definitely not the best effort from the gotmail team. I love these games and just finished the new daydream one without any walkthroughs or tips and it was fun. I could have never done this one without help. It seemed to lack almost any logic. I should be kicking myself when I see the walkthrough for not having discovered the secret myself. This time I found that only time and misery could have gotten me to the end.

Making someone continuously repeat the same actions to magically achieve a new result is not clever. It forces a player to be frustrated and solve problems through patience and accidents instead of thinking. I kept feeling like I had not solved enough of the puzzle at points when there was no more puzzle to solve. I just hadn't spent enough time miserably clicking in repetitive circles yet which is apparently necessary to discover things like the tree growing, catching the beetle, or finding the key. Opening a door with jelly is just blind luck.

Honestly though, I shouldn't say this reflects poor game design. It just wasn't as much fun.

something majorly huge happened!(for the third stone)

when i was searching for the third stone, the walkthrough said that if you look at the beautiful sunset where you see the order of how the numbers of the code for the painting were gonna be like, i went there again for the miniture house code. the shapes were exactly the same but then i got confused.so i checked the lil pictures with the numbers behind it. the numbers were totally different! i dont know about you, if it happened to you. well good luck!!!

Absolutely Fantastic.
I love the graphics.
The best thing about this game is there are no give-aways about how / where items are meant to be and their uses also i like the how you can use items in your inventory multiple times xx

I'm not through yet but the desert did nothing for the door. For me it was the

that opened it.
Also, clicking on the bottom half of the stick never worked. I had to

Now my problem is that where the above spoiler said I should have 2 stones already, I still only have the red one. Well, not now since it's in the

stick

Where is the other stone that I should have before reaching the basement?

This game made no sense how does a key grow out of a nut????....and wat eating the desert was suppose to pass time to let the plant grow? Im waiting for a more REALISTIC escape the room game...i tend to get confused since somethings that have to be done dont seem to make since but i do like the thrill of the findings.=)

Reply

Thats the lousiest and the poorest scape the room game i ever played. it doesn't make sense at all and it all depends on makeing some actions first before finding a new clew.
Specially the fact

that you have to walk away from the plant many times till it grows

and

walking away from the tree till you catch a bug.

Uuuuuuuh its realy bugging.

It was like torture... it wasnt fun at all, and none of the things you have to do makes ANY sense. The key came from the nut?! What has the doll house got to do with anything... and a beetle holding the buttons in place...?!
And the eating jelly part... took so long just to eat.. jelly?! Which isn't even relevant to escaping....

Interesting game. A lot of magic in use like

the pictures magically changing numbers or the extremely fast growing plant

and some very odd things, especially

when you're able to open the cellar door because you're holding the dessert.

I think it was pretty difficult. I couldn't get any further than step one without referring to the walkthrough. The worst thing:

I could NOT find the outlet in the wall. After referring to the walkthrough and clicking just about everywhere in that area, I managed to find it by accident. I zoomed out again and could not see anything like. Random clicking--found it again. Another thing was the dessert case. Stupid me--I kept clicking on the right side and couldn't get it open so I thought I had to use the stick, but that didn't work either, so I checked the hints and realized that the little black thing that looked like part of the wood frame was actually a knob. Whew.

Reply

Looks like I'm the only one posting here in a long time, but I've been on a room escape game kick. I think this game may be a bit (very) glitchy!

Got stuck and consulted the walk-thru. Despite following instructions . . .

...walked around for a boringly long time, but no insect shows up.

On top of that, some things just didn't progress logically.

Had to give up on it. Although not sure about gotmail's games, I do hope more game developers release room escape games.
