In Carmel Games' point-and-click adventure Space on the Case, you are the galaxy's premier (or maybe only?) robot space detective, so naturally you're called in to help when a bunch of cows go missing. Space cows. From a space barn. In space. You get a tip-off that lets you know where they've probably been taken, but how can you prove it? Just click around to interact when the cursor changes, and hop around to different planets to gather items and solve puzzles. As you'd expect from a game with celery aliens, dinosaur bathrooms, and robot detectives, Space on the Case is more than a little weird, but in the sort of happy, delightfully silly sort of way that makes Carmel Games such a nice treat, apart from a somewhat meanspirited jab at a fat person that doesn't really fit the otherwise harmlessly goofy vibe. Will the great detective Space ever find the cows? Only one way to find out, but you can bet it involves poop!

Oh, no, I hate the bleeding edge ...
I did get a warrant and did a search, but have loads of items I can't seem to use on anything. Help!
@lynnehammar97: look carefully around the Dinosaur exhibit on Jurassic planet
there's a sickel hidden in the background that is pretty much the key to getting the rest of the game to work
After that, the only other unintuitive thing I found was
apparantly dinosaurs have green tails, so you'll need to dye something pointy green to get through the machine
looking forward to the walkthrough for this :)
I would rather it just beeped than saying "That doesn't work". That might slightly reduce the desire to claw the game off the screen when we're clicking at random trying to figure out what goes where.
A few tips:
To get the celery man to let us into the hangar
we need to resend the decoded fax message to the Intergalactic Space Court
To get the space grass
The sickle is
at the bottom right of the dinosaur
To get the wheel
It's in the Milky Way scene on the right of the barn. Clicking it just says "It's a wheel!".
We need the wrench from the dinosaur bathroom.
To get into the dinosaur bathroom
We need to look and smell like a dinosaur.
Put on the dinosaur perfume.
Drink the coffee to get the cup for the grass juice (grr, there's a perfectly good coffee cup in our HQ ...). Then put the grass juice on the police cone to dye it green.
We have to put on the green police cone as a dinosaur tail, but we can't do this until
we're in Jurassic Planet (grr - I thought "not the time and place" meant "at the end of the game", but I finally retried (for the zillionth time) putting on the space cone when I was actually with the big dinosaur)
Where to put the dung.
On the ground between the cows and the celery man.
no walkthrough yet?
This isn't so hard a game, Paul... why don't you try playing through it without a walkthrough?
I can't. I don't know what to do without one :(
guess no walkthrough then? ok.
