Little Briar Rose isn't very long and with only six screens there is going to be some back tracking. While items solve most of the puzzles, you'll need to talk to almost everyone you've met to be set on the right track. This isn't a game where you can skip over dialog, but the pacing is done really well. You're never stuck in an overly long monologue that you don't have any interest in, and even the dialog keeps you in the fairy tale mindset. The beautiful stained glass artwork really sets the atmosphere, and though it seems that this kind of artwork could be distracting from items needed to be picked up, the great interface makes it easy to spot and lets you know quite clearly what you can do on the screen. Items are easily given to the NPCs you need them to go to but be careful... give enough people the wrong item and your little prince will become lost forever in the woods. A new one comes to take his place, with a different name and a different shade of hair but the journey can continue, so the only loss is if you've grown attached to your little hero. Little Briar Rose is a marvelous adventure that feels just like the perfect bedtime story and a great one to start or end your day with.
