Looked pretty good. But couldn't figure out how to mutate, as in lvl 4

Yeah, you press the corresponding number you want to mutate into, a la the three sheep in that one game.
I kind of got over it by level 14.
I think the only reason this has 48 levels is because the designers threw in every possible level design they could think of. There are lots of variations on the same theme and not much interest after the 4th time you've crawled around the underside of a platform dodging electricity. Gets rather too repetitive too quickly.
