The Sandman

DoraThe Sandman, a free horror game created by Uri (The Crooked Man) and translated by vgperson (Alice mare, Ib, and many more), is one of those games designed to make you lie awake at night, questioning every creak and unfamiliar sound. The story follows Sophie, a young girl trapped between the bullies at school and the loneliness at home. With her mother gone and her father usually away on business, Sophie spends most of her time by herself and claims it doesn't bother her... but there is the business of her increasing inability to sleep, and one night, as she lays awake in bed, she hears her clock stop. And as she ventures outside, she discovers that's not even the weirdest thing happening tonight by a long shot.

The SandmanThe controls here are pretty basic. Just use the [arrow] keys to move around, [spacebar] to interact or advance text, and [ESC] to open the inventory and save menu. A small sparkle will sometimes draw your attention to important items, such as the helpful map Sophie discovers early on, but you'll still want to investigate everything on your own to make sure you don't miss anything. Most items need to be used manually from your inventory when you get them. If you've played The Crooked Man, you'll probably recognize some names and places, since this is the second in what Uri calls her "Strange Men Series", but don't worry... if you haven't played The Crooked Man, The Sandman still stands on his own.

The SandmanAnalysis: Uri is one of those rare developers who just seems to get better and better with every release, and The Sandman stands head and shoulders above the rest in almost every way. The Sandman gives better subtle direction than its predecessors, cutting down on a lot of wandering especially with the help of the map, and the puzzles are a lot more creative and fun as well... mostly, apart from some annoying timed sequences and a few unintuitive areas. It'll even prompt you to save before some of the more difficult sequences, though chances are only the final area of the game will pose much trouble. Like all of Uri's games, The Sandman uses sound sparsely, but to tremendous effect, especially now with the inclusion of scant voice acting to up the tension and atmosphere in some scenes, and the art and area design is gorgeous too.

That said, The Sandman is definitely one odd duck. The tone can fluctuate wildly, and things just seem to get crazier the more you play. Most of that is due to the story, which twists and turns in some seriously weird ways as things get increasingly surreal. For some, that's going to be a bit of a disappointment since it actually feels like The Sandman might actually be the most light on horror (and jump scares!) compared to Uri's other games. The latter portion of the game is... different, to say the least, and extremely puzzle-heavy in a way that feels at odds with the more story-centric first half. Stick with it, however, and you'll discover some very clever plot points that take a unique look at mythology. The Sandman is definitely a strange little game, but it's one that's so strange it hooks you in to see how it ends, and with four endings and a bonus, it might not go the way you'd think. Despite not being what you might expect, it's still a creative game, by turns charming and creepy, and well worth a look.

I don't understand how to

escape the mall. I get to the bottom floor and throw the doll, but then there's a gunshot when I get to the bottom of the escalator and the walkthrough on the website just says to run out BUT THEY REFUSE TO RUN. I guess I'll just wait for the JIG walkthrough, because I also didn't understand how I was supposed to use the security card to get into the mall in the first place.

Hey, i need help. I just begon with the game. But i cant progress,i cant find that stupid ladder! Where is the ladder that you need to find to come into the school? By the way, what do you need to do in the Subway Station. I already now the password but cant find anything..

Thanks! But where is Anne then? :)

i mean when you have 3 minutes to find her.

DreadNot March 1, 2014 11:26 AM

Hi Dora,
I cannot find the

reference grid you talked of in your other solution.
I have the security card, but have found nothing else with that same grid pattern on it. Please help. Thanks

Please help. Thanks :)

DreadNot March 1, 2014 12:06 PM

Hi Dora

I have looked at the screen to the left of the door, and all I get is the blue panel to input the numbers. Nothing else. Am I missing something, is there another way to 'interact' with it other than *spacebar*?

DreadNot March 1, 2014 12:11 PM

Also, I have a

map in my inventory, and no way to open it to see it, so I think I have to missing something major.

Did you people see the old man from Mermaid Swamp in the flashback, where David and Sophie were eating cake? :'D

After Reagan falls down and I get control again after the dialogue, their movement is a slow walking pace and I get immediately swarmed.

I also had all the problems DreadNot is describing, so by the sound of it, my game is just bugged. :-\

paprika.britt March 1, 2014 3:22 PM

After I use the

ladder to get into the walls of the catholic school, and then obtain the shovel, what do I do? How can I get into the catholic school?

paprika.britt March 1, 2014 3:26 PM

nevermind! I figured it out. I am smacking my head right now, that should have been so obvious...

I'm looking through vgperson's website and I can't find an email? I guess I can contact her through Tumblr if nothing else.

Okay, for anyone else having trouble seeing the map, I talked to vgperson and this is what she told me. Instead of double clicking the application to open the game, right click and there should be an option to "run as administrator." You can also go to "properties" and under compatibility, you can adjust it to always run as an administrator.

How do I find the Tibbyyoung Dew in the forest? I've been pressing on stuff everything I can find, but I don't know what it looks like or how to collect/use it

@Dora well I feel like the biggest idiot ever now. Thank you so much

Actually, the running from the mall thing was a separate issue. The run as administrator fix is just for if you're not seeing all the images you're supposed to.

@elena: are you holding crouch when you throw the doll? That seemed to be what was causing the problem for me. The first time I tried when I wasn't crouching at that point I got through. Vgperson also said she would be uploading a version where this bug was fixed.

DreadNot March 1, 2014 11:06 PM

That's It!!!
I get to keep playing. Thanks so much :)

hey guys..

now im in the sandman's place. How can I find a coin for Nixie? The Tooth Fairy not allow to trade the tooth for a coin. Im going around and dunno what to do next :(

hopper.codelyoko March 2, 2014 5:12 AM

i cant get into the sandman's house, the walkthrough I found says "Continue on and check the small house. Go back to the plain and take the Littlogrow, and place it in front of the house" but i have no frigging idea what that damned plant is and checking the house isnt helping much, I can't really read the red sign thingy either cos "it has some writing, you can't read it" *is very tempted to throw my comp away*

To get the Littlogrow, you have to

stand on the left of the oddly-coloured log on the plain where yellow lights are floating around. You have to interact with the log from this very direction. You can enter it and after that take it with you.

Hey Dora! It's me, again, but i'am kinda stuck. Now i need to get past the dragon or something. He is to fast for my, any tips?

metalhamster March 2, 2014 12:50 PM

Thank you for the review! The game is awesome so far, although I'm kinda curious why Sophie

insists on going everywhere all by herself.

Anyway: can someone help me find the security card? I've already entered into every single building where I could, I tried to search the sleeping people, but nothing yet. What am I missing?

Hi everyone! I have gotten myself stuck in the following passage of the game:

I found the dust that got trapped under the stone statue in Sandman's house. I think I'm supposed to free it with the Wanderful Wand, but there is no option to do so for me.. The dust just keeps saying "Help! Help!" and when I open my inventory, the Wanderful Wand is greyed out and can't be used :( I tried every possible angle to approach the trapped dust, but I can't free it.

Can someone help please? I tried the walkthrough, but it doesn't offer any more information.

Thank youuu!

metalhamster March 2, 2014 1:02 PM

Dora: thank you, I knew something was up with

that car! Looks like I just didn't find the right angle.

Thank you so much Dora! I feel like such a fool now :D I was so stuck on the wand I didn't even consider anything else.

norestriction69 March 2, 2014 2:27 PM

i can`t enter the place where Sophie`s father work

norestriction69 March 2, 2014 3:05 PM

thanks Dora , i didn`t know where to find that card

how can i use the stick to brake the glass?

i mean after i brake the wall i can`t move

merchantfan March 2, 2014 9:25 PM

the part where the Sandman chases you in the maze is *really* annoying to play on my keyboard. He's so fast and the navigation is clunky. Have only tried it once, but am going to take a break and try again later.

Hey how do I

Start the whole thing after The Sandman captures you . I need something to carry that crying gel in, something to cut the lizard tail, and something to carry the green fire. But I searched high and low and found absolutely nothing inside the sandman castle.

metalhamster March 3, 2014 5:06 AM

I'm stuck (again) in the mall. I have

the cardboard box, I'm sneaking past the guards to the 1st floor (where the soldier guards the escalator), but then I can't seem to use the doll. I tried it with and without the box on my head. I tried to interact with the soldier guarding the escalator, too, with no results. Is there a special place to throw the doll, or something to do before?

metalhamster March 3, 2014 5:08 AM

Correction: that's not even the 1st floor, that's just the 2nd. Anyway, I can't get past it - any ideas?

metalhamster March 3, 2014 5:12 AM

Nevermind, figured it out. Turns out you can

use an escalator both ways if it's not in motion...

I can see everyone having difficulty with the Mall part.

But I just took off the box before throwing the doll.
Worked fine for me.

Ummm, well I don't know what the mall terminal is, and I can't seem to find what the code is. I have puzzled over this for like, 30 minutes and I've given up. Can you tell me either how to do this or what the code is? I really hate to look at walkthroughs, so this is kinda low for me. ^^'

paprika.britt March 4, 2014 5:28 PM

I am stuck again. I am...

in the sandman's house. I refused to eat the fairy food and have collected a "Snora Flora Fruit". I have had Lullaby translate the memo and the notice for me. I don't know what to do next. I still need to find a way to pick up the Crygel and a way to slice the tail off of the black lizard.

DreadNot March 4, 2014 10:41 PM

I am also stuck inside Sandman's house.

I have the tail, and the bag, and they are white it my inventory, and the bottle, but it's not white in my inventory, neither is the 2nd note. Does this mean another bug?
Can't figure out a way to get the crygel to stay still to collect it (is it because the bottle is grey in my inventory?), can't beat Sandman when he chases me in the mirror maze (yes I have the red footprints guiding), and can't get Lullaby to read the 2nd note. It's been 2 days and I can't get anywhere on any of these things. Any help is appreciated.

DreadNot March 4, 2014 11:13 PM

I managed to

get the crygel fluid in the bottle, so that's a start, now how to get the pot?
And what about lighting those flames in the little side room?
Sandman is still *ridiculously* fast in the mirror maze, what do I do next? AHHHHHH

Thanks for these great hints. It has really helped. This seems to be the only resource for help, so glad I found it

how do you get/find the real pink jewel for the unicorn?

Ruesiken March 6, 2014 2:07 AM

Hint about using the stick in the mansion

face the stairs in the mirror maze and use the stick to gain access to a new area

Hey, I'm in the Sandman's house

trying to find the sand-making room. I have all the ingredients now, I just need to find the room.

However, I can't find it anywhere. Does anyone know where I can find it?

Oh yes, @Mel Carleo

the jewel you find is a fake; earlier it was a clear jewel. Go to the next room and wash the jewel in the bucket of water, then use the machine to make a real pink jewel.

Thank You Thaddeus :)

v.moore.10 March 8, 2014 9:41 PM

regarding the above hint about using the stick in the mansion

it's in the glass wall maze, where you mark your path with the red liquid, rather than the mirror maze where your directions are reversed. :) just a clarification!

Hi there, i'm currently playing The Sandman but i'm stuck

in the glass maze in the Sandman's mansion: i don't know if i've done something wrong, but when the Sandman chase me in the maze he's so damnf FAST, what can i do to not be catched (I already broken the glass in front of the stairs with the stick)? It's quite frustrating :/

Hi Guys!

So how and where do you get the card pass to get in JPGordon Chase & Co.?

On the one hand, I'm disappointed that this didn't really end up much of a "horror" game in the traditional sense, at least from where I stand. On the other hand, it's

ultimately so heartwarming and sweet

(does that count as a spoiler? I'm playing it safe here) to the point I can forgive that.

Thanks, Dora! :)

Soo, I'm in Sandman's house now. Help me?

I don't really know the steps on how to make the sleeping sand. I have the crygel fluid and the snora flora fruit. I also need to get the jewel. Where do you get the fake one? And how do you get / make it real?

Oh hihi another question.

What will happen if you keep the pink jewel? And Vice-Versa?

Hey there, I have a problem:

i am in the glass maze chased by the sandman. i broke the glass wall but whatever i do, i can't pick up any glass nor can i run to the ladder. i tried it about 10 times and it never worked. i tried to run the game as an administrator but that didn't work either... i am getting really fruustrated here

@Lily (SLR)

You just have to get to the other room, the one in right, as fast as you could. You should also lower the lever so that when you sandman will run after you, he will fall down the big hole where the flame is. Hope this helps lol.

Thanks a lot! :D

hey, i have another problem

i beat the glass maze and i got the second note. however, i can't get lullaby to translate it. everytime i speak to him he just says his line "careful not to hurt yourself"
is this a bug?

Videogamer Girl. March 23, 2014 9:39 AM

For @Lily Adlgasser :

You have to go into the menu and select Item. But, before this, you have to position yourself in front of Lullaby. After that you do as I said earlier and select the note you want to read Lullaby. He read, as it has always done. :)

@Videogamer Girl

i tried that multiple times but it doesn't work.
i gave him the first note and he read it to me but when i selected the second one he doesn't react at all

Hi! I am having an issue with

The key card

I read the comment that said "If you're asking about figuring out the code, you'll notice that there are three coloured boxes numbered 1-3 on the grid that displays on the mall terminal outside the door. If you use the security card in your inventory, you'll see the exact same grid, only filled with numbers. Find where the coloured boxes would be in each row on the security card you're carrying since the placement corresponds to the mall panel, write down each two-digit number, and there's your code."

Yet I do not understand it one bit. I have tried everything with the solution to entering the mall, but can not seem to figure out the grid. Please, anyone, help~

Never mind my comment! A friend helped me figure it out! :)

I do have another issue. Everyone I've seen has talked about the

stick to break open the mirror maze. I do not have that. I can not also figure out how to solve the jewel's puzzle. When I click the jewels, nothing works. So...I walk into the room with the statue and fall asleep every time. How do I fix this?

First of all, DAVEY'S IN THIS GAME! YAY! I AM HAPPY! Second of all, I searched the whole entire town, yet I can't find the card for JPGordon Chase and CO. Anyone know where it is?

jrodriguez.msae March 28, 2014 6:59 PM

So, I'm confused...

If Lullaby can't go against the wishes of someone who is awake, and is supposed to fulfill their desire, then couldn't Sophie just have asked him to kill the Sandman for her? (Bear in mind, I haven't finished playing, so I don't know if that's some part of the plot/explained later or something, or if it's just a way to continue the game (which it most likely is :P))

jrodriguez.msae March 28, 2014 11:20 PM

What happens if

in the sandman's house, when you're in the room with the angel statue, it's singing, and you're getting sleepy, you use the water or break the mirror? Does it affect the ending you get? If so, how???

I just want to get a good ending. ;_;

help, i am getting really frustrated here:

like in my last comment, lullaby just doesn't read my second note. i tried talking to him multiple times and it didn't work so i thought the game was somehow bugged.
i downloaded it again and played through the whole game again without any problems.
and here i am again. i have the second note, but lullaby won't read it!

please help me ._.

Videogamer Girl. April 2, 2014 9:55 AM

@Lilly Aldgasser

If you have glasses that translate the notes written in the language used by the Sandam, wear it and then select the note. You can read it with ease.
If you did not, try searching for the "Somewhere key" and then go into the room with the fire-breathing dragons.
In any case, please contact me if you want. :)

You just have to wait until the time runs out and Lullaby will be in the room to save you. To lose time, try banging your head on the statue, yelling out the window, hit with the stick on his head, threw water on your face. You never know what can happen! :3

How in the world...(ending related)

Do I get a good ending? I got bad ending 2 (one eye open) and bad ending 3 (invisible sweet heart) but I'm stumped as to how to get anything else! Particularly a good ending! Taking the pink jewel from Unicorn was the only decision I know I made that can be made different

Videogamer Girl. April 6, 2014 10:25 AM

You have to tell the Unicorn could keep the jewel, and then do the whole procedure you did for the final battle (of course there will be some changes after you said to keep the jewel of the Unicorn).
If you decide...

[To kill the Sandamn:
You'll get the Bad End 1.]

[To throw the sleeping sand on the Sandman:
You'll get the Good Ending.]

Thanks a lot Videogamer Girl!!

I'm playing the bonus plot now!

kara.deguzman April 8, 2014 12:42 AM

It seems two other people have encountered this problem here in the comments, and I can't find a solution. When I get the 2nd note from the back of the jewel room, I can't get Lullaby to translate it! Can anyone help?

how do i cut the lizard's tail?
please, someone heeeeeeeeeelp!

I'm at the part where sophia hears singing, but everytime i try to pass through i get grabbed and it says game over.

Alright! i beat the game with absolutley no help, i feel good, but horrible cause i got sleep with one eye open and invisible sweet heart, I wanna good ending, ill even replay the whole game, anyone got any hints at it?

thefirstweirdone April 21, 2014 4:40 AM

I need some help in finding

Anne in the Catholic school. I swear I searched everywhere, but maybe I didn't see her?
Please tell me which floor and room I can find her in?

minavang15 April 21, 2014 3:22 PM

What do I do after I get the sleeping sand?

calicovonmonroe April 21, 2014 6:47 PM

Okay, I need help with the nine symbolized stone door. I'm not sure which ones to click, I've tried a couple walk through s but they didn't seem to help.

minavang15 April 22, 2014 12:08 AM

She is on the first floor in the cafeteria. When you walk in the cafeteria, there is a room you can enter in your left.

The key to the stone door is on the room to the right of the entrance to Sandmands place. When typing in the key, you start from the top left of the key to the top right then the bottom left to the bottom right.

Hiya Everyone. I Need Help Finding All Of The Ingredient's In The Sand Man's House I Have The Snora Flora Fruit I Just Need The Rest Of The Ingredient's And I Know Where The Lizard Is I Just Need Help Finding What To Cut It With.

minavang15 April 24, 2014 7:34 PM

@Sarah Mcguire

to cut the lizard tail, you need to obtain a glass shard. You get the glass shard from using the stick at the glass maze room. Use the stick where the steps are at. You get the crygel fluid from the top right room at the entrance. Use the empty bottle on it.

byungheelovers April 25, 2014 6:35 AM

hey im sorry if i did miss some comments about my problem but how to get pass when sophie hears someone singing??

Hiya MinaVang15. I Kinda Need Helping Finding The Stick,Sorry.

calicovonmonroe April 26, 2014 12:31 AM

Um, What? I'm basically a blonde in the mind, please explain in an easier way. @minavang15

I Need Help I Haven't Did The Glass Maze Yet. Unless The Glass Maze Is The Place Where The Floor Is All Square And Colorful.

calicovonmonroe April 26, 2014 11:55 AM

Okay, I figured the symbolized door, so yay. But, now I need help with the little suction cup thing; it won't let me do it to make a new pink jewel for the Unicorn.

Thought of the song, looked up remixes of it, This One is Truly Awesome, and I feel like sharing it with the JiG/CG community!!

This complexity is to avoid the whole "No Link Dropping!!" note.

minavang15 April 26, 2014 11:41 PM

The part where she hears singing in the castle?

@Sarah Mcquire

No worries! The stick is in the room to the left of the medicine room. It'll be leaning on one of the cabinets in the left side of the aisle.

Sorry if my explanation wasn't detailed enough. You find the answer to the nine stones door at the room to the bottom right of the entrance to Sandman's castle. When you get to the nine stones door, a scene pops up showing the nine stones. Use the keys you've been using to move Sophie around to navigate through the stones. The first stone that is highlighted is the first answer to the puzzle. Press enter to lock it in. Then refer to the key you found in the bottom right room at the entrance and find the next stone. After you find it, lock in the answer again by pressing enter. Repeat until you get to the last stone and then lock in all your answers with the confirmation button at the bottom right of the scene. Hope this helps!

minavang15 April 26, 2014 11:49 PM

Woah sorry guys I didn't notice there was a second page!

@Sarah Mcguire

The glass maze is the room after the emerald fire room.

Have you had Lullaby translate the note you found in the suction cup room yet? That should trigger the event to let you make the new pink jewel.

I'm having trouble finding

The 2nd memo... Where is it again?

Oh Thank You MinaVang! I Haven't Done The Glass Maze Yet. I Just Need Help Finding The Ingredient's Like Where They Are All I Need Is A Empty Bottle And The Emerald Fire And The Stick For The Glass Maze Yet.

chickenchupachup April 30, 2014 6:55 AM

can some one help??
i'm having problems in the sandman's house when

you need to move the red flame. i picked up the hide gloves, but sophie doesn't put them on and when i try to use them near the red candle nothing happens!
am i meant to use something else?

HeliosBajammin April 30, 2014 10:17 PM

I have no clue where the Snora Flora fruit is!

Hi, I'm having trouble in the sandmans house

I've picked up the pink jewel and washed it in the bucket of water, and I tried to use the machine but it's not doing anything, and the crystal is no longer in my inventory. Is this a bug or am I missing something big?

sykopathster May 16, 2014 8:12 PM

hi i have two big problems

one: i cant seem to get the town map on screen i click on it and it doesnt pop up, i just stop being able to move.

Two: does the security card have anything to do with the map? cus i cant figure it out.

BlueShyFox May 24, 2014 1:02 PM

Hey... I'm also playing this game

and I have all of the ingredents
. But I can't find the pot or light the candles!!

;;.plz help..

BlueShyFox May 24, 2014 2:48 PM

Never mind my other comment...

I still need to light the candles though.... I need help findingg the gloves now..

Did I bork the game?

in the room with the statue that is trying to put me to sleep. I've got the mirror in my possession, it breaks when I try to use it, I've tried splashing myself with water, screaming out the window, toppling the statue, banging my head on said statue.. but I get game overs, whether I do anything or not. How do I get out?

risingdemon9 June 12, 2014 8:13 AM

Hey Dora, I've been trying to avoid seeking some help but I'm just really stuck at this point.

I kinda have the same problem as chickenchupachup where:

I need to move the flame to the stove or something. I've pretty much spent a lot of time running around the castle and nothing seems to help. I have tried using the hide gloves but it doesn't help at all. I've also noticed those unlit candles and I suppose I could have use them as a mean to transfer the light from the red candle but I can't seem to take them. I have done everything and talked to everyone but I seem to be missing something. Care to enlighten me? :/

risingdemon9 June 12, 2014 10:35 AM

Haha, nevermind. I solved it myself after eating dinner.

For those who gets stuck in this part:

You place the Crygel fluid into the pot first then you'll be able to grab the candle's flames with the help of the gloves. Yes, Sophie will grab the flame and not the candle.

I actually got the idea of putting the Crygel first when cooking up dinner. :P

hi ive just started playing this game ...
and kinda stuck on this part...
the part where Lullaby took you to "where-the-sandman-lives",
the strange purple place..i got stuck to the place where you will hear "someone singing"..everytime i try to get pass through there, s strange shadow thing pulls me away and games me over...
i really cant figure this out now...
someone help?

hihi..sorry for the bother.. ;) figured it out ;)

Where can I find the gloves . I search it everywhere but i can't find them .. 😳

What do I do with the doll in Blumberg Mall?

jessieh5432 September 4, 2014 7:15 PM

Okay, I'm desperate.
Does anyone know any strategies for

the final battle with the sandman at the end? I've been trying and trying but I just can't figure out how to beat him. Every time I get close enough to swing the Wanderful Wand, I'm too close- and I get hit by the sandman. There's no obstacles I can use to avoid him either.

I just can't figure it out.

jessieh5432 September 4, 2014 8:37 PM replied to Dyzll Clemente

I don't know if you've figured it out by now but it's really simple. :)
All you gotta do is move down on your screen, the farthest you can from the "thing" that pulls you into the water. It'll try to get you, but won't be able to reach you.

bornartist2000 October 10, 2014 11:48 PM

Does anyone know how to

/spoiler get to the guy with the glasses in the train station

Kyttynjirr November 14, 2014 3:15 PM

I honestly do not know what to do next. I'm in Sandman's house, and this is where I'm stuck:

I got "Notice 2" -- the note on the wall in the small room behind the room above the glass stairs in the glass wall maze -- and have taken it to Lullaby, but I cannot get him to read it! I know that several others have posted regarding this issue, and I've tried the suggestions given, but he still won't read it and I cannot progress any further. I've looked everywhere on the internet for instructions as to what to do, but I can't find anything. If someone could give me explicit instructions as to what I should do if Lullaby won't read the note, I'd really appreciate it. I know that someone mentioned some glasses, but I haven't found anything like that, and like I said, I can't seem to do anything else . . . I don't even know where to find the singing statue mentioned in the walkthrough on vgperson's website.

If anyone could help me, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks in advance!

I'm having trouble with the bonus story.

I gathered the leaves, water, and truants like the first secret memo says, but then I couldn't get into the sand production room. The sandman will not use the key to open it and the room does not show up on the magic mirror. Then, I noticed that the leaves, water, and truants were not in my inventory.

Is this a bug?? I'm gonna have to replay the ending of the main story for now and then see if I can save the game before I start the bonus, if it is a bug.

You don't get the glasses yet. I forgot in what order I did things because it's been awhile since I was at that part, but after reading vgperson's walkthrough again, I think you have to

go back to the door where Sandman started chasing you (in the room left of the maze where you got the red stuff), then the room with the world map, then the mirror maze (which reverses the controls), and then Lullaby should be in the next room with the tea table and garden. I think you have to ask him THERE. DON'T go back to the other room to ask him. And to get to the statue, you just go to the next room after seeing Lullaby in the tea room, where you'll need to find a few ways to make noise.

You will need him when

you need to get into the JP Gordon and Chase building. After going to the building first, if that's what part you are at, go back to the subway and enter the gate with the code on your cellphone and then check the sleeping guy for an item you need.

Oh, never mind. I think what happened was I didn't realize that it skipped through the sand-making room and went straight to the room with the map. So I totally messed it up by leaving that room, since the dust are in the way if you try to go there again. I got it now.

Hi! I'm stuck and I need help please!

I need to get the sleeping sand materials but I have no idea where to find the snora fruit, and whenever I go into the crygel room, I can't pick it up. The empty bottle is grayed out. Is it supposed to be??

Oh my gosh nevermind I can be sometimes absentminded

I didn't read the note that told me how to make the sleeping sand but I did now and it let me collect everything

I loved playing this game. I like how there are different endings (not going to spoil anything). I really liked the main character and I find it hard to like a lot of main characters. I have a walkthrough on youtube. If you need help just type in Glitternauseous and it will come up. But this site contains a great walkthrough.

Hi! I need some help, I'm

having a bit of trouble. After the cutscene/flashback where Him and Sophie are eating cake, it goes back to normal time. I somehow managed to accidently skip the part when they are talking DX now I have no idea where I'm supposed to go, and I'm just wandering around the town like an idiot.

Could someone please help?

RampagingPencils March 30, 2015 8:14 PM

@SavDragon don't worry, you aren't stupid! I had problems with this too! What you need to do is

Go into your items inventory (press X), then choose the doll. Sophie should then throw it, distracting the soldiers. I hope that was helpful!
