Monkey GO Happy Balloons

DoraI'm just going to come out and say it... I don't like balloons. It's not even because I have the nerves of a cat and I hate when I pop, or that I think they're weird, it's that we all float down here. Apparently, however, Pencil Kids didn't have the traumatic childhood movie viewing I did, so their latest Monkey GO Happy game is Monkey GO Happy Balloons. In each stage, your goal is to find and pop all the balloons, which you can in turn trade in for toys to keep your horde of mini-monkeys happy. Not all balloons are out in the open, however, and you'll have to solve a few puzzles along the way. Just click to interact, and drag items from your inventory at the top of the screen to wherever you want to use them. From solving graveyard codes, to turning a boring playground toy into the ride of your life, winning each level releases another flourish of balloons to pop and spend. Just... stay away from any storm drains, and never trust a clown. Or Tim Curry.

Longtime fans of the Monkey GO Happy games have no doubt noticed that the series has gotten decidedly easier and less complex with newer releases. For some, it's a bit of a letdown, since it makes already short games even shorter when you're blasting through simple puzzles like they're made of crepe paper. For others, however, it just means the series is the perfect size for a brief, happy break. Monkey GO Happy Balloons is perhaps a little longer than some of the other titles in the series, but the overall difficulty is still set fairly low, so it still likely won't take most people very long. The levels are short, but a few feature some clever codes, and those tend to be more engaging than the "use obvious item on obvious feature" scenarios. It's cute, it's bright, it's quirky... it's exactly what you'd expect in a Monkey GO Happy game, and if you need a happy pick-me-up that won't demand a lot from you, it's a solid bet for your time.

I'll admit it: I don't get the "we all float down here" reference.

Then you are one of the lucky ones who can sleep at night still....
as if further proof is needed that clowns are plotting to kill us all and take over the world.
