Rise and shine, my little ponies, it's Friday! I can almost taste the weekend! Whether it tastes like freedom and relaxation or the same ol' same ol' drudgery, why not celebrate it with a bunch of games to kick it off? This week! Urban exploration that goes awry as related via an increasingly disconcerting chat session, an alien invasion thwarted using an oddball combination of game mechanics, some mighty big shoes to fill that are going to take a lot of time and swords, and a fun new toy that relies on you for its very survival.
- Hero Simulator - He's the greatest hero in the land, and he's been protecting the world for 300 years! He's also your dad, and he's looking to retire, so it's finally time for you to slap on some armor and pull your own weight in this idle incremental game. You'll need to start from the bottom and work your way to the top by taking on odd jobs, changing your class, equipment, pet, joining a guild, and much more! Sounds like hard work. Me? Oh, I'll be sitting here in my nightgown eating poutine and watching cartoons. Good luck, though!
- The Utilizer - You kids today with your hybrids and your innovative gameplays. In my day, we controlled flying ostriches and played terrible Spielberg rip-offs and we... okay, so maybe we didn't like it. Except for the ostriches. But this bizarre combination of match-3/shooter somehow works as you catch and match falling coloured blocks to earn cash for upgrades when you bite it. Talk about pampered! I bet you don't even need quarters to play either!
- Joralemon - If you're hoping for a lot of interactivity here, well, keep hoping, because like Annie96 is Typing, all this creepy pasta-ish tale requires is for you to advance the text. Jen's wondering where her friend Marie is, who should have been at the concert ages ago, but Marie is craving adventure when she gets wind of a place no other urban explorers have yet to check out. But is she ready for what she'll find inside? As Jen texts frantically to her friend deep below the city, it becomes apparent Marie might not be alone.
- It Needs Care - Congratulations! You've just found yourself in a possession of a totally-not-creepy pulsating new Ikura toy. Think of it like a Tamagotchi, only slimier, and sort of unsettling. Once it hatches, you'll need to provide it all the care it needs, like food, medicine, and so forth. You even get to clean up its toxic green looking poop splats... lucky you! Just wait for it to tell you what it needs, and use the buttons at the bottom of the screen to access your controls. After all, it can't survive without you!
It Needs Care was good but I was a little disappointed that there didn't seem to be different endings based on the care you gave to it and/or the conversations you had with it.
I think I'll just leave my Tamagotchi in the drawer from now on...
Hero Simulator is an addictive little game. Is there an end to it?
anyone find an issue with your 'hired help' in hero just stop 'working'?
Does Hero Simulator have an ending or not:
I purchased everything except some of the class upgrades, and nothing special happens. Other than the cute comments your hero makes. After buying the Noble Hero class upgrade at level 100 it offers you the Valor Hero upgrade for 750 Septillion gold and honor, but I don't think I'll bother to get it.
After a certain point the only way to make money becomes investing. And none of the upgrades seem to affect investing in any way.
