Ballistic Wars team

Hi Jay

On behalf of the Ballistic Wars team, I would really like to thank you and your reviewer-judge panel for giving us the opportunity to show our potential in casual gaming. On top of that, you have ranked us in third place, so I really can't thank you enough.

To show how impactful this competition is to my life, I have changed the business direction of my company. I've been in advertising for years and I thought that I would just make games for advertising purposes, but from now on, I want to dedicate my time doing games for the masses, rather than just to satisfy clients.

I'm sure the other entrants are thinking the same thing. Your website and ideals have rekindled the passion in all of us!

The attached picture is our way of showing our most sincere gratitude to Jayisgames. That's me in the center, the character designer and animator Daim on the right, and the interface designer Leenyin on the left. Naturally, the characters in the scene were drawn by Daim.

Really big thanks. See you in CGDC 5! :)

regards

Wan Hazmer

I highly enjoyed Ballistic Wars, and I hope to continue to enjoy your future games. I hope you enjoy your new business strategy, and I can honestly say that hundreds...even thousands of others will enjoy it too. Good luck!

This post is awesome. You guys are awesome. Ballistic Wars is really something special, and your attitude is fantastic. I know you'll do well with this.

I agree, it's a great game!

Awesome! I'd already seen this on your blog, but I'm pleased to see Jay put it on his page.

Great work again, guys!

Pure awesome. More companies should follow these steps, rather than the reverse :p

(PS I really enjoyed your game ^_^ )

Good luck to the team! Keep up the great work! :-)

Congratulations you three, it was a very enjoyable game, my favorite of the bunch. Keep up the great work!

Martin

All I can say is...

What took you guys so long?!?

Just kidding. But if all your games are as well-made as Ballistic Wars, I think you've made the right decision. Well done!

There's something special about you guys! Nice people deserve to be successful.
All the best in the future! There's nothing better than making a living doing something you love, especially if it makes others happy :D

p.s. Loved the game, I can't wait to see what you do in the future!

That's really nice to read that the competition had an actual impact on them and motivated them to do more games!

Great job. I liked the cute characters you guys included into your game. Maybe if you keep developing these characters and go deeper into the narrative side of gaming, you guys will have a franchise appreciated over the web. Good luck to y'all!

I just wanted to add my Thanks!

Great game and lots of fun. Keep it up.

PLEASE, let me know: Should we be expecting a sequel, or at least an extended version, of Ballistic Wars? It was my favorite game of CGDC 4, and I would love to play more levels, more enemies, more soldiers, more anything! Thanks for a great game! (Even though I still haven't beaten the last level!)

It looks like there will be a sequel. They have a sponsor! Check out their blog.

wow,thats awesome.

Ballistic Wars was great (so sad to see how closely it lost out on the audience vote!), and I'm thrilled that Hazmer and the team will be bringing us more games. I'm glad that Jay put this on the front page to give them more exposure.

Wowowowowoowow... I didn't know the whole email was gonna be published here, haha. Not that I mind at all. :)

Thanks everyone for your support! When I read your words of encouragement, i feel more confident that I made the right decision. Like zxo said, what took me so long?! sheesh to me :P

And WOW, all your comments about Ballistic Wars, I'm so so glad that you enjoyed playing it! I'm so touched, and excited at the same time. Yes, a remake is on the way, and if all goes well, it would be ready by next week!

Please tune in to my company glog for the announcement. Meanwhile, please check out Daim's website and Nyin's website. They're really talented individuals, you should check out their work. Without them, Ballistic Wars would've rolled into nowhere land.

It's thanks to supporters like you all that I strive to make a better sequel/new game than the current Ballistic Wars! I hope that you would continue to support my games in the future, and of course I would ensure that my games deserve your support. That, they say, is the circle of life. :D

Hey, are those characters from Ballistic Wars?

you're awesome!
thanks for game
great work
must be at first place
it's my opinion
wait for new gamessssss
keep it up!

I just wanted to post (Never posted before) to say that this is probably the classiest act I've seen here. I hope you folks keep up the good work and are very successful!

That photo is so adorable! XD Is that tank-guy out of his tank?

And hey, you don't have to give up advergames completely, right? Diversify for financial stability. :D I've played some really fun advergames (the milk boardgame is one of my favorites), and all free online games have advertising of some kind. When the game itself is part of a company website, that can actually be less intrusive, because there's no "click here to WIN!!!OMG!!!" banner ads and so on. Just my opinion. :D

joye:

Yea I have been creating advergames for clients such as Discovery Channel Asia, Canon and Osim (some under the design company (if )interactive), so I kinda know how fun and financially rewarding it is.

However, my true passion (ever since I was a kid) is to create games for the masses, and it was awakened by this competition. About the financial stability, I'm currently earning a nice monthly income teaching part-time in a local design college (The One Academy), so all is not lost. :)

I enjoyed your game, but I absolutely adore that photograph!!

hey hazmer congratz..hahaha..
definitely its worth to get to have you as my lecturer as well..hahaha..
