Angry Faic

JaredAngry FaicFor a quick and addictive action game splurge, check out the recently released Angry Faic, by Kable Monck of Kobomb.

Similar to Kill the Pacman presented here way back a few years ago, Angry Faic is an arcade action game of skill that has you perpetually falling from the sky, constantly trying to land on tiny passing emoticons of a matching color. With each hit, your character will bounce higher giving you more chances to land on other emoticons. You are given a set number of lives which will decrease each time you land on a face of a different color. Press [A], [S], [D], and [F] keys to switch colors, hopefully in time to hit the same colored character and to keep your combo growing.

Analysis: Angry Faic is great fun to play in a short amount of time. If all you have is 10 minutes for a break, check this game out and enjoy its simple but polished gameplay. It's sweet that this game has a high score board, since for many people this will be one of the biggest motivators to play. My only complaint is that it seems that the emoticons come out purely at random, thus on many occasions leaving me without anything to land on. All I could do was watch helplessly as my character continued his vicious falling cycle after my painstakingly built-up combo was lost.

But that doesn't mean skill isn't the primary factor in how high a score you can achieve, and with the addictive nature of the game, I think you will easily find yourself having more fun than expected. Guess you'd better get practicing... Play Angry Faic.

Very addictive. Reminds me a lot of eyemaze's "Hatch" game. Unfortunately, the first color and the fourth color look very similar to my color blind eyes, so I can only play the first three levels :(

I notice that a lot of games such as this often have hackers that make their way onto the highscore table (Generally by manipulating variables in memory, I believe. I've seen programs that do that.)

Flash game designers should really consider the upper bound of what score can be achieved at a given level. For example, in this game, if someone has 2,000,000,000 points, yet is at some level under... I dunno... 100,000 or so, it's a really good indication that that person is cheating. I'm not sure how feasible this sort of thing is with the hacking tools available, but it would be something to keep in mind anyway.

Oh, on the game itself, it's really quite enjoyable. It will certainly help you with your co-ordination if you play it enough!

That game was pretty fun, and the funny thing was is I just saw the game and thought, hmm, why isn't it on jayisgames and I check back about 15-25 minutes later and it is there!

Wow! The best arcade style game for a long time. And I love the music. Simply fantastic =)

real fun game... it definitely has enough insanity, such as the fact i am not GREAT at games, although good, i got a 48-hit combo... it would be cool if the faic changed expressions according to what he(she?) blew up

Oh, yeah and what does Faic mean? I probably should know this..

This game is pretty fun...
I've seen it on armor games for quite some time
I've been meaning to play it
Thanks for reviewing it Jay

Bats: Faic sounds like face(So it is face)
kind of like cool and kool

It was a terrible choice to require the use of the mouse to click continue in between levels. If you're going to make a game that only uses keyboard controls, then you should find a way to allow me to select continue without having to switch back to the mouse.

Also the location of the word "continue" was annoying as after I'd clicked, I would either have to take an extra split second to move the mouse off the screen again, or deal with the distraction of cursor in the middle of the playing field.

Daddaluma: Pressing the spacebar will also get you through the continue screen.

Daddaluma: I guess the developer agrees, you can press spacebar to continue.

I could have sworn I tried pressing spacebar . . .

Well, good to know. Now I can play this game without getting so irritated.

I wont lie it took me about 10 tries before i realized i could change the color of my little guy to make larger combos and make the game last longer .. geez .. not its somewhat fun

Angry faic = Angry Face.

It's from Newgrounds, where this game originated ;D

i love that smilie with that tongue outta his face!!!!
Hahahahaha!!
