Finding 4

Finding 4A brand new game from the very talented casual game designer, Tonypa.

Finding 4 is a puzzle game in which the object is to locate, within the time alotted, the same set of four (4) figures on the play field as shown in the target set.

Simply click on the set once you find it. Points are awarded based on how quickly the set was found, and then a new target set is chosen. If an incorrect set is selected, time is subtracted from the turn-timer. When the timer runs out, the game is over.

Every 500 points earned, you will advance a level. For each new level in the game, a new figure is added to the mix, as well as a new column, and you are given less time. There are a total of nine (9) different figures and a maximum of 12 columns in the game.

The game contains a couple of noteworthy features that add a nice touch to the presentation of the game: an hourglass timer with a fine granularity of graphical detail, and a custom sound engine. The sound engine offers three (3) different instruments to choose from, and composes a tune during play based on the four (4) figures in the target set. The tempo of the tune changes with the turn-timer. Click on the colored square beneath Tony's name to swich instruments, or to turn sound off completely.

Finding 4 is a very simple game to pick-up and play immediately, as most anyone will be able to have fun with it. Another excellent free Web game by Tonypa.

I always try to see first if I can beat the game by a brute-force crazy clicking attack. This is one of the games that doesn't prevent me trying out everything by clicking anywhere in order to gain points...

Is it just me, or is this game surprisingly easy? Without meaning to brag, I got 2000 without really trying.

A minor point is that if you click a group, then the next group is in exactly the same place, you have to move the cursor away, then back.

woo first post

p.s cool game loved it

Very fun. I think with enough playing I may even memorize all the sounds for the poses.

this is a very fun game kept me entertained for a while.... I like the games that tonypa... plus they visit the site also :)

Yeah Tonypa! It's a lot of fun. I wish I could think of fun, simple game ideas. -_-

Here is my technique for scoring High:
For the first couple shapes stay in the center to rack up some initial points. After that stay in the red zone only (near the edge) to get the 50% increases. The points quickly compound.

Zengief - You must be playing "TouchMe", which is also a new game from Tonypa, though not the game I reviewed. =)

Yeah, sorry about that. I realized that and tried to submit a second one, but the spam filter caught me.

No worries, we'll just have to review that one, too, and then move your comment over to it. =)

But, Philipp, you will lose some time for each wrong click. Clicking around madly can get couple of correct sets, but I dont see much chance to survive for long.

I am sorry, but I tested it and I cant see the bug. You do not need to move mouse if next group is on same spot.

Glad to see you liked TouchMe :)
It always amazes me how much better the players are then me. I thought it was so tough to stay on red zone so 50% score increase seamed like worthy bonus. Nobody will never get it anyway, I thought. How very wrong I was :)

I just played this game again today and boy is it a nice little break. I really like the integration of sound. It helps you identify what your looking for but also puts the pressure on when it speeds up.
My high score wsa 2530 \o/ yay
