You Are Games: Babylon Sticks Caption Contest IX

You Are Games

ArtbegottiQuiches. French toast. Omelets. Omelettes. Omelots. Ocelots. These are just a few wonderful dishes that can be made using eggs, nature's water balloons. You can scramble them, boil them, fry them (over-easy, over-hard, and mysteriously, over-medium). Eggs are an incredibly useful ingredient in many recipes, and they even taste great on their own. But the question still remains... Can eggs be funny?

bs-contest-easter-1.jpgUnfortunately, no. It's your job to come up with an egg-laden pun in this week's You Are Games challenge. That's right, the yolk's on you! Take a look at this unfinished Babylon Sticks comic drafted by resident comicster James Francis. It could use another dipping in the dye batches so it gets some color. But most importantly, it needs a punchline! What humorous quip can you imagine to finish this comic?

If you think you've got a line to do this comic justice, send it to us! Post your caption as a comment below using your Casual Gameplay account. Multiple entries are allowed, but remember to keep them appropriate for all ages and obscenity-free. In addition to a certain upcoming holiday, keep in mind that we tend to favor captions that stick to a gaming theme. And some final legal bits:
  • All entries submitted become the property of Casual Gameplay.
  • You must be at least 13 years of age to enter.
  • Void where prohibited.

You've only got until Monday, April 18th at 11:59 PM (GMT-5:00) to get your entries in, so get scrambling!

"Suckers! The Easter Bunny posted a walkthrough on Jayisgames!"

I just downloaded an app that tells me where all the eggs are. It's eggcelent!

TOP LEFT: Augmented Reality Egg Finder
MID TOP RIGHT: "Behind the bush bro!"
BOTTOM RIGHT: Yep, there's an APP for that!

Patreon Crew SonicLover April 14, 2011 12:26 PM

"You mean you guys didn't know that EasterEggFinder was just released for Android? Get with the times!"

...Sorry, originality isn't me right now.

mezzanote April 14, 2011 12:39 PM

It's Google street view! They caught the Easter Bunny last night.

"Now I just need to check the walkthrough to find the Happy Coin..."

"I know I shouldn't put them all in one basket..."

"I bet those birds will really be angry now."

Ohjaypea April 14, 2011 1:19 PM

I knew spending 60 quid on that TomTom app would prove useful!

DragonDame April 14, 2011 1:24 PM

General Information: Find eggs, duh!

Exploration: You're outdoors, so you see trees and stuff, obviously.

Bush Puzzle: Tap the leaves in this sequence: Left, Right, Right, Right, Left, Right, Left

Rock Puzzle: Match the right colors to the right symbols to unlock the next egg (ie yellow goes with star, red goes with heart, etc.)

Repeat puzzles on all bushes and rocks to find all the eggs!

He does know the things hidden on the games he downloaded don't count, right?

mr1black April 14, 2011 3:53 PM

Better one:
"What? No, I didn't search for them, I just bought Angrybirds app, and last morning the basket was full!

Not so good:
"Dudes, scavenging is so last century, buy a smartphone!"

DragonDame April 14, 2011 3:58 PM

GPS, the greatest thing to happen to Easter since Jesus.

Hey guys. Check out this cool egg I found in that pile of jackets.

"Screw this, guys! I got a recipe for a killer omlete!"

Tortferngatr April 14, 2011 11:08 PM

WOOT! Perfect run!

Ever since those Angry Birds left to get their revenge, I've been making a killing selling their eggs!

These geocaches would be much harder to find if they weren't so brightly colored.

I just checked Foursquare. The bunny's hiding them at Starbucks now!

Jimlaad43 April 15, 2011 7:38 AM

Now i have Myst on my iPhone, i am awesome at finding clues, and those hard to find easter eggs.

"No sir, it's too hot outside to wear the suit!"

Dragonxpert April 15, 2011 11:48 AM

Not holiday related, but:
Only 5,024 more steps till these hatch and my Pokedex is complete.

Hey! This new handheld TSA bodyscanner is working wonders. Don't worry, I'm only looking at the eggs.

Who said playing video games is a waste of time? I've been Easter egg hunting for the past 8 months and it's paying off!

"Making the Easter bunny proud" achievement, awesome!

edgwardoe April 16, 2011 9:33 AM

You know the times are changing when there is an app for THAT.

"I just regained my title as mayor of Easter on Fourquare! YES."

Jaycee27 April 18, 2011 6:02 AM
