Weekday Escape

DoraCongratulations! You survived another week. Or... maybe you didn't? In which case, still congratulations! Your dedication to escape games has caused you to rise from your tomb like an unholy abomination that must sustain itself on locked doors and puzzles, and that's still pretty rad! Regardless, celebrate another week gone by with your one and only Weekday Escape. This week! MayMay makes you serve up something sweet before you can leave. no1game would like you to take care of these repairs, please and thank you. And Zigurous knows what you like, little darlin', and that's 30 locked doors.

DIYDIY - I like DIY, but DIY doesn't like me. And I'm not even talking about frou-frou Pintrest projects, I'm talking about basic stuff, like the time I tried to manually snake our kitchen sink instead of calling a plumber, and wound up almost throwing my back out and calling the plumber anyway, minus the cost of the tool I'd bought (and broken). So I sort of consider this game from no1game a personal challenge. You'll notice the room you're in is such a mess that the door is broken, so it's up to you to roll up your sleeves and get to work. Don't look at me. My husband actually flinches if I pick up a hammer. This is all you, babe.

Mango JamMango Jam - MayMay! Just the name itself is cute, and it speaks of cute escape games, and you're not going anywhere in this one until you cook up a fresh pot of mango jam. Making jam itself isn't that hard, but most of us aren't working with equipment that's been locked with special puzzle codes. Who's got you locked in your yard and out of your house until you make jam for them anyway? Is this just a thing you can do, like, to a neighbour? Regardless of the dastardly fiend who locked you in, you've got puzzles to piece together and cooking to do if you want to get out.

Lunar EscapeLunar Escape - 30 levels for an escape game? Yeah. YEAH. YEEEEEEEAH! GET HYPE. Or as hype as you can be where the solution to the first "puzzle" in this nicely constructed little game by Zigurous involves, y'know, pressing the open button next to the door. Admittedly, the game is going to take a while to get going, and if you crave your escape games brutally difficult, well... this one ain't for you. Consider it more the brisk treadmill trot of the escape game world that warms you up for the burpees and abductor twists of the genre. Which would be... I don't know... The Dark Room, maybe? Get swole!

We love escape games, and our readers love talking about them and sharing hints! How about you? Let us know what you think, ask for clues, or help out other players in the comments below.

Stuck on level 16 of Lunar Escape (which I was really enjoying so far). The walkthrough will not load for me, so if anyone has a hint I'd appreciate it.

Anyone else find Lunar Escape to be quite random in places?

DIY and Mango JAM were pretty straightforward, but I couldn't finish Lunar Escape.

There was one level of Lunar Escape that I solved and never understood why the solution was correct - it had playing card suits and colored buttons... I understood two of them, but the other two I just randomly chose and "boom" the door opened. ??

There where a few spots where I watched the video and thought "why did that work?"

I basically ragequit on level 22 because the solution looked so random and it seemed like I was making no headway in solving it.

@baileydonk for level 16

you need to make a closed loop

@CJTressler for level 22

You need to change the colour of lines by clicking the button connected to the line

still for level 22

and make them all green

Billy-o

red because of the diamond of poker, and arrow pointing upward as it originally is pointing upward

Level 16:

You need to connect the points that are shown in the stack of blocks on the left. But the arrow on the right shows that you must mirror the figure that the stacks show. I.e. the arrow tells you to mirror the triangle pointing south west, so you would get a triangle pointing south east. And then you make that figure on the panel.

Level 19:

The solution for that level had me stumped too, as I also had to resort to the video walkthrough for that. But I just realized how the arrow works.

The arrow must point towards whatever object on the wall you want to manipulate. So to change the colour of the circle, it must point towards the circle, and for the button to react to your click, it must point upwards.

And as bearharry says, the circle must be red because there's a diamond on the door.

Level 22:

This one is a Eulerian path. Normally you'd need to traverse each line of the figure once, but here you need to do it twice, so each line becomes green. And you start in the upper left corner, so you need to start by either pressing the upper middle or the lower left button.

A fun collection of games! I really liked Lunar Escape, but I wish they'd skipped the first couple of levels, I felt chested out of a full 30 puzzles
