Mimi's Delivery DashPoofyMimi's Delivery Dash is the winner of this years Movie Game Jam! And how can it not be? It's based upon the anime Kiki's Delivery Service and the premise of the game is to collect orders and deliver them to people, using your broom. Yes, you've read that right, you're a little delivery witch and you have to fly up to people waving at you, grab their item, and fly to another person that wants that item. That way you will earn money (and if you're fast enough a bonus) which is your score. Oh, and you only have 3 minutes to get the highest score you can.

Mimi's Delivery Dash is a wonderful and cheery game. The graphics, pixelated so two thumbs up from Poofy, are amazing and the animation is smooth. You control Mimi with your cursor keys and you can use X to dash while you use C to pick up items when you hover over a waving person. The game premise is very easy, the level scrolls from left to right (or right to left, depending on which way you're flying to) and there are people standing in random places. Some of them are on top of a platform, so you have to look out for them to see if they have an item for you to collect. Once you've collected an item, a bubble with the item in it will appear on either sides of the screen, indicating that the person who wants that item in over yonder. All you have to do next is fly all the way over there and touch the person. Be careful not to bump into any ceilings or floor, or even worse... birds. Because they will slow you down drastically and it you will lose precious time.

As I said before, Mimi's Delivery Dash is a solid winner of the Movie Game Jam 2018. Everything just falls together, the graphics, the soundtrack, the animation, the simple game idea... it all makes sense. It definitely one of my favorites, and I've even done a challenge with several YouTube buddies of mine. To see who got the best score, and I can tell you... it wasn't me.
