Lori.hWhen you're wanting to become a millionaire you need to save every last coin. Or match every last coin. Millionaire POP is a free match-3 game brought to you by DeNA Seoul. You goal, besides becoming insanely rich with fictional money, is to turn every blue spot yellow by connecting three or more dollars, pounds, euros, and yuan in a specific number of moves. When you get four of the same color, you replace that fourth coin with a Power Bill which, when activated by another match, will send it flying across the screen, knocking out every coin in its path. The seventh coin in a match becomes a Double Power Bill which goes in two directions, and then the tenth coin becomes the legendary Super Coin, that removes all coins of the same color. But there are a lot more stumbling blocks in your way than the first few easy levels lead you to believe. With locks, bombs, and more trying to halt your progression to the 1% you'll find that every penny saved is a penny earned. And, boy, will you go through a lot to earn it.

millionaire-popMillionaire POP starts off with smooth sailing, but then takes off into some pretty rockin' rapids. The biggest difference this game makes from other match-3 games is the Power Bills. You can't just make all the matches you want in any direction. The placement of the Bills are incredibly important on almost all levels, and since they shoot off in the direction your finger was swiping in, you not only have to find the best group to collect, but also the right starting point. Since Bills replace the coins, keeping the line from moving downward, it can hinder you if you're not paying too much attention. Which makes this really a puzzle game, especially with some levels you have to use the Bills win. There are two items that will help you along the way, one that lets you shoot off any Bill without taking up a precious turn, and one that lets you flip a blue tile to a yellow one. These can be bought through in-app purchases, but there are scratch cards you can earn and a weekly challenge that, if you succeed, you gain more freebies, so no real money needs to ever exchange hands. While Millionaire POP could have done more with the location of the levels, like a different background depending on what area you are in within the country, it's still a bright and energetic game that will have you seeing match-3 games in a different light.
