Love Burger

Love Burger by Carmel Games is a short point-and-click puzzle game that will ring true for anyone who's ever had to work customer service. When a demanding customer comes into a fast food joint and won't take no for an answer, even when they're clearly wrong, one employee has to come up with a way to serve them... a bit of revenge, that is. Just click around to interact, and remember you can try to combine items in your inventory if necessary. Even for a Carmel Games title, which are usually pleasantly break-sized, Love Burger is short and can literally be solved in less than five minutes, but while we're certainly not advocating any creative comeuppance the next time you're faced with a fire-breathing customer who can't admit they're wrong, it's still nice to see one get their just desserts in this quirky and very silly little game.

My first walkthrough so I don’t want to spoil the overall story (I hope I’m doing this right):

This starts out with some guy wanting to get his girl some chocolate bon-bon for Valentine’s Day. Unfortunately, he’s walked into a burger joint but it’s quite obvious he’s completely irrational so he makes it your problem. Since he’s a bit of a brute (and beyond whipped) he threatens to tear your workplace apart so you need to appease him to make him leave. He’s obviously thoroughly confused as to his actual placement in the relationship.

Right under the Love Burger logo there is a (mostly) red box. Take that. (Mmmmm. I personally love coconut flakes.)

If you go into the bathroom –
(door on the right):

not that you should if you want to be efficient (you get more of the story)

you are confronted with a ghost who generally won’t let you do anything in the bathroom since he’s stuffed himself with so many burgers from your particular fast food joint in life that he’s had a heart attack and so he generally blames it on you specifically and decides to hinder you.

But if you go into the kitchen (door on the left):

there are rubber gloves in the cabinet at the bottom of the contraption under the clock next to the grill. You get to take a glove.

Opening the fridge you see a key in an ice block; but how do you get to this key? Grrr…

maybe unplug the freezer?

But that’s not enough…

click on the clock because somehow manually advancing time makes the ice melt faster so you can get the key

If you check out the Meat Ball-Omatic 9000; it says it’s been broken for a while and needs a gear. Hmm…

Now click on the red door to the left of the fridge aaaand you’re behind the burger joint. There is a cabinet with a lock there.

Use the key on the lock where you’ll find a vacuum cleaner and a bucket.

Go back to the bathroom:

use the vacuum - ghost-buster style - on that unruly poltergeist.

The icky toilet has something in so:

use the glove you’ve got to grab it. Yay! You get a gear!

Also:

Get the faucet handle (valve) from the sink.

Go back to the kitchen and:

use the gear on the Meat Ball-Omatic 9000

Now you need to go out back again and:

use the valve on the faucet and turn it on turning the ground there into mud

Then you scoop the mud into the bucket

Go back into the kitchen and:

feed that mud into the Meat Ball-Omatic to make a nice mud meatball

Sprinkle it with coconut flakes (because that makes everything darn-right yummy)

Present it to the customer and: jerk guy loves girl, jerk girl loves guy, and you get

a (terribly) crazy ride!

Then rejoice in the fact

that you got to basically fed mud to an irrational jerk’s over-demanding girlfriend.
