JIG is WIRED for April!

Comments (30) | Views (2,482)

WIRED MagazineWe are very pleased to announce that JIG has made it onto the tangible printed page of WIRED magazine in the April issue (shown).

You can find us mentioned in the Playlist feature, an article that lists 10 things the WIRED folks think are cool (or "wired") for the month.

It's not an exceptionally large mention, but we are nonetheless grateful for the opportunity to be included in such a well-respected print (and online) magazine. Thank you, WIRED!

(Now if only the Jayisgames.com on those pages were clickable. A small icon of our JIGster would be a nice addition, too. ;)

Ooooooh! That's great news Jay! I'll have to make sure to pick up a copy of that magazine!

Wow, that great.
Congratulations! ^_^

Wow. I never really knew just how popular JiG was until now. Kudos to you my friend whom I have never met/talked to. Kudos indeed.

That's fantastic!! Great job, Jay and team! Not a bad accomplishment for something that appears to have started out of a hobby - and has turned into one of the more respectable causal gaming sites on the web!
Also - is it "Casual Games" or "Causal Games" - I always find the point-and-click escape series more "causal"... Now that JIG has influence, change the definition to CAUSAL! ya got my vote.

Very sweet and well deserved! Congrats!

Great news! Dues well earned!

Wow, that's awesome - congrats on that, to Jay and all of the reviewers. Like they said - it's the high quality of the games listed on your site that keeps us coming back. Keep up the good work :-)

Hey Jay I'm happy for you. Anyways, not to sound personal, but how do you make money to support this site? And how many people work here? Are they your friends or did you hire them from somewhere? Sorry to ask so many questions, but I'm trying to start my own site and I'm wondering how to go about doing it. Oh, and by the way... GO JIGMAN!!!

It's not an april fools joke, Sinaris. Did you follow the link above? There's an online version of the article up.

It is very much real. =D

And on behalf of everyone involved here, thank you all for your kind words! It is very much a group effort, one that has certainly grown beyond my capability to manage single-handedly anymore.

Anyone mind flipping to the ad on page 112-113 and connecting the red dots? I did the blue dots and it's a nice mountain scenery :)

Read the article last night and was very excited for you! Very good press.
Just make sure you keep the page clutter free of ads and I'm sure more kudos will come! As the article mentioned, that's one of the best parts of this page as compared to others that offer the same content.
Thanks Jay, for turning this hobby into something serious, and providing plenty of "work avoidance" for me on a daily basis!

Thanks, Tim!

The signal-to-noise ratio they are talking about is the ratio of high quality experiences verses the sub-standard ones, the latter of which we wade through plenty of to bring you the best and brightest we find (ie, the "cream of the crop").

It's not about the ads. Ads are as necessary to keep the printing presses in motion as they are in keeping the Web servers plugged into the Internet. That being said, we will always try to keep the ads as unobtrusive as we possibly can.

Awesome ^ ^
but the whole thing seems a bit too pink >.>
And this was bound to happen considering how awesome JIG is

I've already bought a frame.

congrats Jay! :D

Congrats! It's about time! This site is one of my favorites and consistently highlights fantastic games on the internet.

Awesome!

so thank you again Jay, and may you lighten many more lives with this site :D

That's where JIG is different from other games websites. Most of the other games websites purely offer vast numbers of games. (Example: Addicting Games.com)

However, JIG goes through and tells you which games are best. Which is really all I want to play. It saves me the time of being forced to play mediocre games to find good ones, and tells me which ones to play. Go JIG!

By the way, what happened to the triplejack log in on the side of the page?

incredible work guys. I stumbled onto this site a few months ago and was suprised that I hadn't heard of it before. What looked like another random mix of games has turned into my favorite website. Its a great way to relax and regardless of how busy I am I make sure to browse the games at least once a day. I hope the success continues and keep up the great work!

Thanks for the information! That makes sense as you, and now your team, have always provided the best on the web in one place.

Keep doing what your doing!

Couldn't have happened to a nicer gent. Sorry about no HTML linkage. Keep up the good work.

Congrats on the mention - in fact, that is how I found this site. I'm super-psyched to see a few of the games I've run across recently featured, and am looking forward to all the future reviews.

Thanks, Mike, and welcome! \o/

We have a great community here, as you will see, which is equally important to us as the reviews we provide.

If there's anything you'd like to see or have any feedback at all, we'd love to hear from you. Cheers!
