FunPods is a site filled with unique and unusual Shockwave 3D Web toys that you can play with in your browser.
Web toys are not really games, per se, though one FunPod does include game play elements. For example, Bonobo's Bongos is a simple rhythm matching game using virtual bongo drums. Bado, the chimp on the left, will play a rhythm on his set of drums. Simply copy the same rhythm on Bono's drums to get a more difficult rhythm to try. Use the mouse to click the drums, or use the [left] and [right] arrow keys for speed drumming.
While none of the FunPods offers a very deep or lengthy experience, creator Richard Smith has done an excellent job of pushing the limits of what we're used to seeing with Shockwave 3D graphics and game play. The result is a collection of toys that are beautiful to watch and fun to play with, even if only for a few moments of your time.
There are currently seven (7) different FunPods to choose from. Richard has been adding to the collection quite frequently, and he promises even more to come!
Update: Unfortunately, this site is no longer online.
haha that's pretty funny.
Good to see 3d used more often.
Lol, thanks for posting, that was super cute.
hehe that was funny :P
I love the goldfish one.
When the ape on the right shakes his head "no," he looks like my french professor. It's actually kind of infuriating.
But the goldfish was great, heh.
wow! I think the Gabriel's Web composer Is honestly one the most unique and ingenious music composers ever. I can imagine a expert switching between chords and scales and arpeggios, all the while making interesting beats in time to the music. (Trying to make a good song to the music in this game is a lot harder then I would have ever thought! I can't wait to practice at this thing non-stop!)
Although it would be great to have a large selection of music in the background. 8)
This is great because when I get the beat right I grin and nod my head just like the apes.
I gave up quickly on the apes. Obviously I'm not made out to be a drummer :33
that was well animated but really not that fun at all
Im slightly upset .. :( i completed the apes... no word of well done did i get... it just looped me back to the start!!!
I like the lion dance one the best. The goldfish one just gets tedious, and I see no point in the tenticle or elf ones.
