In Joqlepecheur's puzzle platformer (more puzzle than platformer) you are Detective GUI. Well you may seem like a toothy blob with tiny legs but don't judge a book by its cover! In fact, you are a famous detective and you need to discover who cheated in the game "barky's adventure". Meanwhile jump a bit here and there, meet strange creatures and solve many puzzles. Very many and clever ones!
Don't judge a book by its cover can be said about the game, too. At the beginning, it may seem a bit confusing and complicated with intricate rules and demanding. None of it is true! Rules are quite simple and you master them in the first and the second level, and the game is friendly and not demanding. Keeps informing you what and how you can do, no time limit, no need to hunt for lives - in fact, there are levels where you get at the beginning few extra lives but that's neccessary for passing it - if you fail and restart you get them again. And most of all, no insane jumping, there is always a way how to overcome chasms comfortably. After all, the most important part of the game are puzzles. Your blob Detective GUI can easily stay under the water for however long, only spikes and some creatures he meets are lethal for him. But you can restart any time and levels aren't long so the lost progress is minimal.
This game is much fun. Clever and inovative puzzles encourage curiosity for the next levels; you just want to know what interesting problem to solve you find there. Almost addictive in a way. Just give it a chance. It definitely worths a try!
The game is controlled by a mouse and a keyboard. It has autosave.
Wow! This is the best game I've played in a while.
I hate platformers but this was amazing and (almost) nothing like a typical platformer. It felt like every level was full of easter eggs. The out-of-the-box creativity that went into this made for a great game.
Thanks so much for posting this one!
Thank you! I'm not very fond of platformers neither but this one I really enjoyed. It's more like adventure puzzle game.
