Comment preview is back!

Comments (13) | Views (1,718)

After a long hiatus and due to popular request, comment preview has returned to help in your quest to create nicely formatted comments and walkthroughs. Just click the "Preview" button below the text input field in the comment form to see a preview of how your comment will appear when posted, spoiler tags and all!

If you encounter any trouble with the feature, please let me know. Use the email address in the sidebar if you need to.

I just knew something was different about the comment box, I just couldn't place it. Here's to hoping it works!

Yay thanks, Jay! Can't wait to test it out hehe =)

did it work did it work?

aaah my picture made it in the preview but not the comments. :)

i noticed that when you preview, all the "Posted by:" comments are "Posted by: wistan". which might make it difficult if you are commenting to a specific person (you won't be able to see who commented what.. just your name)

did that make any sense?

Yikes. No that's a bug. Thanks for telling me about that. I can fix it relatively easily.

And the reason why the image showed up in the preview is the preview isn't HTML filtered as the published comments are. Not every HTML tag may be used in a comment, IMG is a tag that is filtered out, sorry. You can, of course, create a link to an external image, as I did by editing your original post above.

I'll see about posting a list of allowed HTML tags.

*GASP* Now spoiler tags work in comment preview!? I've got to try it out, RIGHT NOW!

Thanks for the preview functionality - its great!

It's back!

thanks Jay!

Oh awesome.

Jay is roxorz.

Thx Jay!

Strange there is a bug with the Captcha. I can't post a comment unless I type the the Captcha in last for some reason.

It is the need of the hour .to make the comments more of a worth and attractive the feature has to be added.
