Ladies! Gentlemen! Boys and girls of all ages! Step right for the grrrreatest show on earth: Meetreen Games' Circus Level Pack! Witness the death-defying derring-do of of the fearless... erm... monster-clown-stuntman-guy as he braves the dangers present within 30! Yes, count 'em, 30 levels of physics-puzzle action! And he needs you, ladies and gentlemen, to lead him through this gauntlet of peril with only your mouse cursor, as you place the objects and gadgetry he needs to reach the safety of his pool! This is not simulated, folks!
Showboating aside, Circus Level Pack is exactly what it promises to be, a pack of levels for the original Circus. If you haven't played the original, you might want to familiarize yourself with it before giving this one a go, as there's no tutorial in this update to explain what all the different gags and doodads do. Though most are fairly intuitive, familiarity with the first game will make a few of your abilities more obvious. This expansion doesn't introduce anything terribly new, but all the levels it provides are still well-designed, with multiple possible solutions and clever usage of the different items at your disposal. The physics are crisp as the outside of a funnel cake, meaning you never feel as if you've been "cheated" out of a level by the capricious engine. The graphics are even more polished than they were before. And most importantly of all, just like a circus clown, this game sets out to make you grin, and it succeeds admirably. Give it up for the monster-clown-stuntman-guy, everybody! The things he does for a laugh...
Ok, I know this is a level pack, but really, to just throw players in with no tutorial/explanation? I had to look at the walkthrough video to find out a basic control to get past level 2. Not fun.
