Chainy Chisai

Ally And here we have the adorable Chainy Chisai in its native habitat. This small creature, discovered by Amir "Nonamez" Shabarchin, prefers the safety of cardboard boxes to the outside world. But do not think it defenseless! Rather, this tiny animal has a whole host of protective mechanisms, from shooting lightning, to spitting acids, to even exploding! And you, dear reader, get to be the one to provoke them in this charming chain-reaction game! You have just one click with which to set off as many of the languidly-drifting Chisai as possible. They'll unleash their special abilities, which will in turn activate MORE Chisai, on and on in a frenetic reaction until no more Chisai remain... Unless a few manage to slip out of the bedlam. It's simple, it's pleasingly chaotic, and it provides a surprising amount of variety for a game where most levels can be passed with only one click... not surprising since tech support was provided by Silengames, who has made a plethora of popular chain-reaction games!

Chainy ChisaiIt's hard not to smile at the precious, blocky designs of the Chisai, which go hand-in-hand with cutesy names like Darling Foxxy and Edoson. But the different Chisai types signify an impressive array of powers, each of which change the effect that particular Chisai has on its fellows. Not all of them simply explode--some of them create obstacles or alter the environment in ways that can trigger Chisai, too. You can even upgrade these powers with the stars you earn for doing well on levels! So although the control scheme is simple, there's still some skill involved in deciding which Chisai to focus on and activate first. But the game is fairly simplistic, and due to the way the Chisai drift around, there's some luck involved in passing stages. And while you can upgrade Chisai between levels, there's no way to know which critters will be used in a level until you play it, meaning it's more difficult to adequately prepare for upcoming challenges. However, the stages are short enough that their luck-based aspects aren't frustrating, as trying again takes no time at all. Chainy Chisai is a bite-sized piece of arcade game action that's squee-worthy levels of cute; perfect for a little pick-me-up whenever you might need one.

Fun, quick knock-off of Icy Gifts by SilenGames. 3/5.

I don't know is it a bug or intended, the arrow can trigger chain even when it was clicked

Short and cute. The tougher levels seem to be interspersed with flashy, explody levels.

The difficult cuve is way off. Any levels with Edoson is incredibly easy, while Gunshi Kenzo/Nyashka mixed levels and large field pure zombie levels requires huge luck to get a full board clear.

I like how it's possible to completely screw yourself over if you don't have certain upgrades by certain boards since there's no way to reset and even with full upgrades it's a total diceroll if you can clear certain other boards or not with three stars. Oh wait those are bad things.

This game does have its problems, but at least it is possible to reset by clicking the little rubbish can in the top-left corner of the main menu.

Cute, but suffers from a major bug: if the cat leaves its arrow launcher near a link to another site, clicking on it follows the link instead of launching the arrow.
