Build-a-lot 2: Town of the Year

JohnBLate last year HipSoft released Build-a-lot, a casual real estate tycoon sim where you buy and construct houses, raise their value, and stack piles of cash behind your desk. The successful paring down of a complex subject matter was a huge hit, and we learned just how fun it can be to have the power of bulldozers and million dollar incomes at our disposal. The sequel, Build-a-lot 2: Town of the Year, has just been released, and a critical question immediately came to mind: why not call it Build-a-lot-more? Ok ok, so I'm no marketing genius, but according to this game, I might be a real estate whiz.

buildalot2b.jpgThe over-arching theme of Build-a-lot 2 is to improve each town's value by meeting goals set by each area's mayor. Tasks range from building a number of houses/buildings to earning a set amount of cash or increasing rent income to a certain level. All the while you must manage three things: cash, workers, and materials. Money rules them all and is used for every action you take. With money you must ensure you have enough materials to build new houses or upgrade and repair existing ones. Workers are necessary to carry out your plans, and the more you have the more jobs you can undertake at once.

Build-a-lot 2: Town of the Year doesn't deviate much from the formula established by its predecessor, which is a very good thing. With a few simple mouse clicks you travel from town to town buying up empty lots and building houses in their stead. After drafting the right blueprints you can build several types of houses, each requiring more upkeep, materials and resources to construct. Bigger houses bring in more rent, and in order to meet each level's goal, you'll have to rake in as much cash as you can.

The game gradually unveils new buildings as you play, creating a wonderful sense of progression. Each new item gives you a nice bonus as well. Parks, for example, help raise the appeal of nearby properties, whereas buildings such as coffee shops share their earnings, and workshops offer discounts on your materials and labor. It all comes together into a satisfying experience that gets even better as the game goes on.

buildalot2a.jpgAnalysis: Build-a-lot 2: Town of the Year is one of those rare cases when a sequel does nothing but improve upon the original. Everything is bigger and better than the first, from an increase in building types to more levels and much better replay value. The new set of buildings is a great addition and adds loads of depth without complicating gameplay. Painting houses, while a seemingly trivial inclusion, is strangely satisfying (try painting a $300,000 house pink and tell me you didn't enjoy it) and integrates right into gameplay. And at long last, players don't have to worry about property taxes!

Build-a-lot 2 is better than the original in every way, which is a major feat in and of itself. It sounds complicated and perhaps a bit too number-heavy for casual players (we aren't all financial masterminds), but in practice it's as simple and straightforward as can be. This game is set to be one of the best casual games of the year.

I keep getting stuck in level 19 Autumn Hills! I almost made it once but then a new challenge was added on and there was no way I could add three more houses! Anyone have any tips for level 19?

Am stuck on level 17. How did you get through it to the next level, ontime?

Hi. I love buil-a-lot 2. Im stuck at level 26. How do i get to have a No negative appeal when a business center with a -10 appeal is required???

Please Heellpp!!!

Anonymous April 14, 2008 4:01 AM

try building the business center to fulfill that requirement then bulldoze it down.

Reply

I finished and can't replay levels for some reason, but if I remember correctly, try building a park between the business center and a house. This will give the house a +.

Hey RB - do you have any tips for level 19? There doesn't seem to be enough time to get through all the requirements!

Reply

Anyone remember how they got through Level 23 Calico Crossing where you have to build 2 refineries? I'm like no where close to having any time left.

I wish I could go back and play some of the levels that others are stuck on so I can try to remember how I got through it. Does anyone know of a way to do this? When I try to start a new game to look at the previous levels, it says my current game will be deleted, and I really don't want to do that with all the trouble I've gone through to get this far (some of those levels are tough!).

Anyway, any tips would be great, or if anyone knows of any other sites that help with these levels, that would be much appreciated.

Hey everyone--I found some help at this site: www.gamecafe.biz. There is also a walkthrough, but it's not complete. It is only up to level 15, and many people seem to have gotten past that level already. Hopefully, there will be more added on soon. You will have to register with the site, but it wasn't too difficult. Here is the address for the general site:

I just finished all the levels but the bonuses. It is definitely a good idea if you keep running out of time to build either a modern, villa, or even a palace and then sell it right away to get extra money. Usually I would sell at least two--especially if I'm selling moderns. Usually I would have enough money if I sold only one villa or palace; one time I might have had to sell two villas though.

Whenever I was running out of time and did this, it usually solved the problem. The very last level was the toughest though--I had to build like almost every single one as a palace, and even then I had trouble finishing on time.

I can't wait to see what the bonuses are like, but man, I need a break after all that!

Writer2009 April 19, 2008 9:18 AM

I've managed to beat every level -- but the last one -- buy immediately, as each level starts, building a modern or a villa (whichever you can afford based on the cash assigned at the beginning of the round), painting it, then selling it instantly. That usually gives me enough cash to right away buy enough materials and hire enough workes to build two of the most expensive houses available and keep getting their rent. Only then do I put up a workshop, since if you move fast enough the houses haven't started "breaking" yet. I never build a recycling center unless the level demands it and I add a couple of parks at the last minute. The last level, though, I can't beat.
Good game, but I hate bulldozing perfectly good houses...

Reply

To rb: this is the way I did level 26.
I kept clicking restart level until it gave me a setup where there are TWO places where there are lots that look like this:
(edge of map)(empty lot owned by you)(empty lot not owned by you)
sorry if that's a bit confusing but it's hard to explain!
I built a recycling centre on 1 of those empty lots, and then trained 2 new workers. I then sold 1 of my empty lots (not the 1 in the setup above) and bought all the amterials I could, then I built a villa. Wait a bit and get the money to keep building villas, but keep that other empty lot on the edge of the map free cos that's where you put your business centre. Then, when you have the money, buy the 2 empty lots next to your business and recycling centres and build your shops there - that way there's no houses with negative appeal.
Make sure you only build villas and keep upgrading them, that way your rent will get high enough.
Sorry for the confusing and rambling answer but it's hard to explain!
p.s. don't build a workshop. It's annoying to keep repairing and training those 1st 2 workers is expensive, but it takes up a valuable lot and costs too much to be worth it, as well as the negative appeal it brings.
if this didn't make any sense, let me know.

Has anyone passed level 34 yet? I've been trying for two days and I can't get the +300 appeal in time, it's giving me a headache! Any help would be appreciated!

Reply
writer2009 April 19, 2008 11:26 PM

i don't remember exactly how I got the plus-300 but if you landscape and paint a property and put it next to the priciest park, I think you get a +25 for that property, so you need a few of those.
Another thing to do is to bulldoze the Garden Center after you are through landscaping every property. That cuts its negative appeal.
Good luck. Anyone with thoughts on the last level, which I can't beat even with twelve castles, all hints are appreciated.

Here is a walkthrough for level 34 (thanks to Margie B.. from Gazebo)
# LEVEL34-Walkthrough
Goals (1) 3 three star Palaces (2) 3 three star Villas (2) 3 three star Moderns (4) Last minute goal is to have a +300 Appeal.

# In order to avoid confusion build the same type of houses in a row and then start on the next kind. For example build all your Palaces first (they will start earning you more money) then start working on the Villas etc.
# Leave some spaces in between your homes so you can build some Grand Parks in order to raise your Appeal points.
# Train 2 workers
# Build 2 Villas do not paint or upgrade them. As soon as one is ready put it for sale.
# Buy 500 materials and start building the second Villa.
# Sell the second house as soon as you sell the first one.
# You should be able to accumulate $1,200,000.
# If a house comes up for sale as you're trying to sell yours, just press the low-ball button and that house will come off the market.
# Buy 2,500 materials and train one additional worker so you can build the Recycling Center and the
# Workshop at the same time.
# Start building your 3 Palaces in any empty spots.
# Buy small properties and demolish them as soon as you get them.
# Train 12 workers and buy them Efficiency Training.
# Buy 5,000 materials.
# Build a Garden Center as soon as you can so you don't have to perform maintenance on your parks.
# Start working on your Villas, upgrade them to 3 stars ASAP.
# Buy 20 or 30 thousand materials and demolish the Recycling Center and place the Garden Center on there instead.
# Landscape all your properties to bring up your Appeal value.
# Start building your Modern homes at this time, upgrade to 3 stars and inspect.
# Do not demolish your workshop because you need it in order for the workers to move faster.
# Make sure you have all the proper requirements and you should be done soon.

I would like to help you all, when your stucked, but would be easier, when you describe your problem, if its not the whole level :) - If you want to get help, tricks and tips, you can also go to www.gamzebo.com - There you will also find the walkthroughs, I copied in here.

- You can play all levels AFTER you finished ones all levels and the bonus levels. In the meanwhile it is not possible

- When you need a high appeal, its always good to paint the houses, build a park between the houses and later, when you have a gardencenter, landscape them. If workshop, receiclying center or gardencenter isnt asked, you can try to demolish them at the end. But make sure, that one of your goals is not to have no empty lots. Try to build buildings with negative appeal in a single lot, so they wont harm houses which are next to it.

- A receiclying center and a workshop you should have in every level. First is giving you cheaper material, second not only cheaper trained workers. You can also inspect the houses after finishing (after the upgrades, you need or want), then it wont be to repair anymore. Painting and landscaping after the inspection wont harm it. In later levels you need a lot of workers to help out in the shops and clean the parks. They are too expensive without workshop. In the later levels it makes a lot of sense to buy the workshop upgrade, the workers will work then much faster, its sometimes the only way to get the goal in time.

@rb - someone gave you this answer:
'try building the business center to fulfill that requirement then bulldoze it down.'

This will never work out, because, when you demolish a building, its not shown on your "done"-list anymore. The better tip is: Build a park next to the businesscenter and then a house. The park does not get less +appeal because of the -appeal from the business-center and the house wont be harmed by it anymore.

At anonymous from 12th April:
If you know, that you have to build three more houses and the coffeeshop, start to build them earlier... anyway, here is a walkthrough to this level (thanks to Margie B. from Gamezebo)

# Build a Recycling Center and buy 2,500 materials.
# Build a Modern house, upgrade to 2 stars and sell it right away. You should get $360,000 for it.
# Build a Workshop in another isolated piece of land or next to the Recycling Center.
# Buy 5,000 materials, train 6 workers and buy them an Efficiency Class.
# Build 3 Moderns back to back upgrade all the way and inspect. You need that money so you can reach your rental of $60,000
# Buy as many empty lots as possible so you can start building 2 bungalows, upgrade and inspect them.
# Buy 5,000 materials and then destroy the Recycling Center and build a Garden Center instead.
# Start landscaping all your properties.
# Buy one more worker so you can reach your goal of 12.
# Buy any small property, demolish it and build a Coffee Shop on there instead.

Here is the walkthrough for level 17 (thanks to Margie B. from Gamezebo)

# Build a Modern house, UPGRADE 3 times and sell it right away. You should get $390,000 for it.
# Buy 500 materials and construct a Recycle Center in a corner lot.
# Buy the maximum amount of materials once the Recycle Center is completed.
# Build a Picnic Park in the middle of a lot so you can place 1 house on each side.
# Build 2 Modern houses on each side of the Picnic Park you just built. You need them in order to make your $750,000 quota at the end of the game.
# Start painting and upgrading those houses right away.
# Buy 5,000 materials and destroy your Recycle Center and build a workshop in its place right away.
# Train 9 workers: 3 at a time when you have the money.
# Build your second park in between 2 houses.
# Build 3 Farmhouses quickly, upgrade all the houses to 3 stars until you get all of them done.
# Once those 9 workers have been trained, destroy the Workshop and build another Modern house in order to get closer to your goal.

One tip is for sure, to build the refeneries in one row next to each other. If you have to build a house in the same row, than build one park and then the house, in this way the negative appeal of the refeneries will not harm the house.
Here the walkthrough for Level 23 from Margie B. from Gamezebo

In level 23 you should keep an eye on the 2 lots that are next to each other on the lower left side of the screen, it's the ideal spot for the 2 Refineries. As soon s you see its available buy it. If you already have it, don't build anything except the Refineries on there.

# Train 2 workers
# Build a Villa, upgrade and sell, you should get $660,000.
# Buy 1,000 materials, build a Recycling Center and buy 15,000 materials at once. Destroy the Recycling Center right after you buy the 15,000 materials.
# Build a workshop where the Recycling Center was and train 6 workers, buy the Efficiency Training for $75,000
# Build 2 Villas quickly and start painting and upgrading and inspecting them.
# Start building Bungalows as well and try to upgrade, paint and inspect.
# Buy the blueprint for the Refineries
# Build 2 Refineries back to back next to each other.
# Destroy the Workshop and place a Garden Center instead and start landscaping all your houses to get the +40 Appeal.
________________

@writer - Here is the walkthrough for the last level... but the best tip is: Be fast :)

# LEVEL 35-Walkthrough
Goals (1) No empty lots (2) All houses with a +10 (3) Money $10,000,000 (4) Rent $500,000
BAL%202%20TOTY%20LEVEL%2035.jpg
# This level requires a lot of speed and fast thinking to beat it.
# Make sure that you are constantly buying materials and that you buy the Efficiency Training for your workers.
# Train as many as 30 or 40 workers in order to achieve your goal.
# Demolish all your buildings at the last minute so they don't give the neighborhood any negative appeal.
# You want to build only Palaces so you can make your $10,000,000.

Let's get started:
# Train 2 workers
# Build 2 Villas do not paint or upgrade them. As soon as one is ready put it for sale.
# Buy 5,000 materials as soon as your Recycling Center is built.
# Train 15 workers and buy them Efficiency Training.
# Start building your 3 Palaces in any empty spots.
# Any property you buy in this level you must demolish and build a Palace instead. You must buy all properties because you need to make sure that all houses have at least a +10
# Buy inexpensive properties first and buy the most expensive ones later. It will help you keep your cash when you buy the smaller properties since they don't cost as much.
# Train 12 more workers so you can get more jobs done.
# Pause the game for a second and look at the Appeal of your houses, make sure that everything is up to at least +10.
# Buy a lot of materials (20 or 30,000) and destroy your Recycling Center. Build a Garden Center in its place.
# Landscape all your properties that are at the end of your lots before you destroy all your buildings.
# You must buy up all the properties.
# Place some parks in between some houses in order to keep your appeal up.
# Keep moving fast, it's OK to pause the game so you can look at your screen and see what you're doing. If you play the game in the windowed mode, tapping outside the box will pause the game without the menu box appearing in the center of the screen.

Some more generally tips to get the goals in each level:

-As soon as the villa is avaible for you, buy right after start the amount of workers you need for it and sell it at once. In some levels you have the time to upgrade and paint them, before other properties come on the market, its a try out. If not - sell them at once, that will give you 600.000 $ to fullfill your goals. After selling, a receiclying center should always be the first you should build. Later in the game build always the biggest building first and sell it.

- as more workers you have as more you can do the same time, for example updating and building the next house.
-specially when you have money goals it makes sense to buy as much properties as possible, during the game and upgrade and paint them. This will bring you rent during the game and at the end you can sell them at the end.

-If you find the last-minute goals too difficult,
restart the game and keep that goals in mind. Most of the time, you can already fullfill them during the level and they will be shown as done, as soon as the mayor requests them.

- have an eye on the market and get familiar with the possibilities of lower price and low ball. Some houses you can buy for less then they are offered.

Reply

Thanks for the 35 walkthru, that worked the first time. I had been trying for a few days to do it by selling only one villa.

Anyone trying, I suggest you stock up on materials and workers after building the recycle and workshop. Put them at the end of a row if possible and then build a park next to them at the end, and this way I didn't need to demolish them. I did demolish the recycle centre and replace it with a garden centre.

I'm having trouble with level 9 I can't find a spot to build a warehouse. Everyplace I pick I get a red circle telling me it's not a good place to build. Any ideas on what to do.?

Reply
Twana Kelley April 30, 2008 7:07 PM

Hey Amy,

I found that the best way to counter act the -5 from warehouse is to a put it in the corner of town and then with the empty space to the adjacent side is to put a park there. It does not affect the parks +5 and it will still adds a +5 to any house it sits next too.

Hope this helps!!

Reply

Amy, all buildings have negative appeal. The best is really... if you have the chance, set them at a side of the town, build them next to each other if possible, or on a single lot. And build a park next to it. A building has no appeal-effect on a park, so the next house will have a positive appeal because of the park. If you have to build a shop also, build it next to a building, it has no effect and the next house wont be bothered by the building.
If you paint or landscape the houses, they will have more positive appeal of course. Here are examples to make it more clear:
Building (-5) - house (-5)
building (-5) - park (+10) - house (+10)
building (-5) - shop (+/- ))- house (+/-0)

I am wondering what are the bonus levels and how does one get to them I have completed the game but I see nothing about any bonuses except being able to rplay all levels

Reply

Are you sure, you played the buildalot 2 (!)? Build a lot doesnt have the bonus levels.
Its easy to know... if you have a bank as building and you cant paint your houses, than its buildalot1.
If you really play two, after voting for the town of the year, the mayor of the winning town first ask you to build some more. When you are finished with this, all other towns give you one bonuslevel as well. After finishing them, you can replay all levels.

Reply

Yes I am positive it is Build a lot 2. Do the bonus levels require one to have all gold in all levels?

Reply

No, you get them, when you finished the level...
Hmm, and its also not the beta-version you played? As far as i remember, wasnt the bonus shown in the beta version.
If it is the full game, you should contact the one, you bought it from - maybe there is a bug in and you get a new version. Or try it on the maker website, to get an update.

Hi Tia,
look at the picture of this link, after that the walkthroug for Willsborough Bonus Level:

http://i275.photobucket.com/albums/jj285/MargieBc/bal2totybonuslevelwillowsburgh-1.jpg

GENERAL TIPS

You want to BUILD and OWN only Palaces in this level. ALL your Palaces need to be painted and upgraded 3 times.

Inspect ALL your Palaces after the 3 stars. You do not want to take the time to repair them.

You have to buy EVERY property that is available. Start with small properties and buy the larger ones once you accumulate some more cash.

You must "low-ball" every property that you buy by putting up 4 of your houses up for sale and then taking them off the market once the sale is completed. (Of course you can only do that once you own your first 4 houses)

You need to demolish your Workshop LAST.

Little by little train some workers so that at the end you have 28 workers total. You can train more if you want but 28 is enough.

GETTING STARTED

Goals (1) Money $5,000,000 (2)Last Minute Goal, 13 empty lots.

Train 2 workers and build a Villa, upgrade once and sell right away for $660,000 or $627,000 (it depends if a house comes up for sale or not).

Buy 1,000 materials and build a Recycling Center. If the spot is available place it in the middle row, last 2 spots on the right.

If the property next to the Recycling Center is available, build the Workshop there. If it's not available, buy it as soon as it comes up and build the Workshop.

Buy the maximum amount of materials and build a Workshop next to the Recycling Center.

As soon as the workshop is finished, give your workers Efficiency Training and train 6 more workers.

As the Workshop is being built, buy some smaller properties that become available.

Start building Palaces, paint and upgrade ALL your Palaces to 3 stars and inspect them as soon as you can.

Train a lot of workers at once, you want to have a total of 28 workers by the end of the game so that you can demolish 3 Palaces at a time.

You have to buy every property available in order to accomplish this goal.

You have to be super fast in order to get the expert score in this level. Stay constantly busy, buying, demolishing and building only Palaces.

Constantly buy the maximum amount of materials.

As houses come up for sale you want to "low-ball" their offers. Put 4 of your own houses up for sale so that your "low-ball" offer will be accepted.

Make sure that immediately after your offer has been accepted that you "unlist" your house really fast. Houses that are up for sale do not earn income

As soon as you see that your money is close to 5 million dollars, start demolishing 3 properties at a time.

This is very important, you want to demolish your Workshop last. The reason for that is that if you destroy it too quickly your workers will work slower since they will no longer have their Efficiency Training.

Clear all 12 lots and you're done.

by Margie Bissainthe (04/25/2008)

Check out our tips and tricks for Build-A-Lot 2: Town of the Year.

INTRODUCTION
Those who've played the original Build-A-Lot will be familiar with the mechanics of this game - it plays very similarly to the original one with some great new elements added, including the ability to paint houses, train your workers to work at lightning speed, and add landscaping to your home.

THE BASICS
In order to do well in the game you have to know how to move around on the main screen. Here's a brief run-down of what you'll see:

TABS ON THE MAIN SCREEN
Money & Goals Tab (GREEN)

* This tab is very important because it lets you know how much money you have to work with in order to perform certain tasks.
* You can look in this tab if you want to know what remaining goals you have in a level. If you don't want to click on the tab you can also look on the top right-hand-side of your screen and see your goals there.
* When you click on the tab, there are 2 different meters at the bottom. The Potential Rental Income shows you how much money you will have once certain works in progress are finished. The Current Income meter shows how much money you are actually taking in.

Workers Tab (YELLOW)

* You can use the workers tab to hire additional employees. The tab will show you how many employees you have on hand and how much it costs to hire additional helpers.
* Once you click the tab, the yellow hard hat icons are showing you how many employees you can afford to train with the money you have on hand. If the hard hats are grayed out, it means that you have to wait until you can afford to train more of them.

Materials tab (RED)

* The materials tab shows you how many supplies you have in inventory. It will also show you how much it costs to buy more inventory.
* You can cut your cost of materials in half when you build a Recycling Center, which does not appear until level 11.

Blueprints tab (BLUE)

* This is where you buy blueprints that you need whenever you have to build a new structure for the first time.
* You will only have-to buy a blueprint once. Once you've bought it you can use it in the rest of the levels. You will not be allowed to buy blueprints ahead of time.
* You will also be able to see how much it costs to purchase each blueprint.

GENERAL TIPS

* Build a Workshop and a Recycling Centers at the same time - you will be able to get a lot more work done.
* When it's available, always buy your workers the Efficiency Training.
* If you're ever confused about which houses you've painted, all you have to do is click on the house and see if the paint icon says "paint" or "re-paint"
* If you did not get a star at the end of a level you can go back and play a specific level once you've completed all 8 of the bonus levels.
* When a house is having work done or it needs repairs, you will not be able to collect rental fees until those jobs have been completed.
* When you're trying to build several properties at the same time, always buy the smallest and cheapest properties first and then demolish them.
* When you're trying to meet a goal, don't take too much time to bring the price of a house down. There are times where it's beneficial for you to low-ball the price of a house and sometimes it's not.
* If you have a lot of money in the bank, don't haggle - it takes too long to take several houses off the market at one time.
* Click on the text bubbles if you want the person to stop talking.
* Read your mail frequently, it contains money most of the time and at other times it reminds you of good strategy tips.
* Build and sell a house at the beginning of a level in order to make extra cash.
* It's cheaper to build a house than to buy one that's completed.

POSITIVE AND NEGATIVE APPEALS

* A house with positive Appeal will earn you a higher rental income and add extra value to your house.
* A house with a negative appeal (sad red face) will have a lower value and a lower rental income.
* Build your houses with a park in the middle when you want to meet a high Appeal goal. Always build the latest park you bought, since the newer it is the higher the Appeal value will be.
* You will get a negative Appeal when a building is next to a house.
* Painting and landscaping increases the levels of Appeal in a neighborhood.
* Neighborhood Appeal appears at the top of the screen and takes into consideration the curb appeal of all the houses in the neighborhood.

BUYING, SELLING AND BUILDING

* Do multiple jobs at once - hiring a lot of extra workers will help you reach your goals faster.
* When you're trying to sell a house at the beginning of a level, do it as soon as it's built. The faster you put it up for sale your chances are better that no other houses will go up for sale before yours.
* Be careful of where you place your buildings such as the Recycling Center and Workshops. They have a negative appeal on the houses that are near them.
* Build Refineries as a way to keep earning cash as you build up your town. Just make sure that you collect the checks as soon as they are presented to you.
* Know when to demolish your buildings. If you have an Appeal goal to make, demolish any building towards the end of the game that has a negative appeal on another house. You can always use that spot to build an extra house if you need it.
* When you build some shops, your profits will soar as you add more houses to the neighborhood.
* Place your house on the market just to be able to pay less for a house. As soon as you get your house off the market, unlist your house.

UPGRADES

* You can perform up to 3 upgrades on a house. When you upgrade a house you will be able to obtain a higher amount of rent for that property.

SHOPS

* There are several types of shops that you can build in this game, and as you progress through the game new shops will be unlocked.
* When you see a Help Wanted sign on one of the shops you must immediately assign a worker to that shop if you want to continue to make money from it.
* When you send a worker to a shop with a Help Wanted sign you will lose that employee. Make sure that if a certain amount of workers are required in your goals that you replace that employee right away.
* All shops will generate a steady source of income.

WORKSHOPS

* Be careful where you place the workshops since they bring down the value of the houses near it. (Introduced Level 9).
* Once you reach level 16 you will have the ability to inspect houses when you own a Workshop.
* Starting in level 19 you will be able to send your workers to an Efficiency Training class. That class will make them work much faster and costs $75,000.
* To buy the Efficiency Training you will have to make sure that you build the Workshop first and that it stays built in order for them to keep working faster.
* You can tell which houses are affected by a Workshop by clicking on it. The area that it impacts is the red circle that glows around it.
* Place the workshop in a corner where there are no other houses, whenever possible.
* If you place the Workshop in an area in which there's a house next to it you can also demolish the Workshop at the last minute in order to meet an Appeal goal.
* You can go ahead and destroy a workshop after you're done with it and build something else on that spot. This is helpful when you want to meet a last minute goal and you need the land.
* You should always inspect a house when you build a workshop since you will no longer have to worry about houses needing any more repairs.
* The inspection is only good until you upgrade, sell or destroy the house.

WRENCH ICON

* Whenever you see a wrench icon it means that your property is in need of fixing. Click on the property and then on the Repair tab to start fixing that house.
* You can prevent a house from needing repairs by getting it inspected. In order to inspect a property you must first build a workshop.
* Re-painting your house once in a while can keep the house from needing repairs longer.
* If you don't fix your houses right away, the damage will compound itself. The longer it stays without being fixed the more materials and workers you will need.

REFINERIES

* Starting in level 23 you will be able to purchase the blueprint for the Refineries.
* Building a Refinery will pay you big dividends during a level.
* It's a good idea to build a Refinery early in a level since you'll be receiving checks pretty frequently during that time.
* You really need to build a Refinery in a remote lot since it has a huge negative Appeal on the community (-20). When you place it on a remote lot it cannot affect other properties.

GARDEN CENTERS

* Once you build a Garden Center you will be able to landscape any house that belongs to you.
* Each time you landscape a house it raises its Appeal by 5 points.
* If you have a goal to reach that requires a high Appeal goal adding landscaping to your houses will really help a lot.
* If you have 10 houses and you landscape each one you will have an extra +50 in Appeal points just for doing that one thing.
* Once you reach level 27 and you build a Garden Center you will no longer need to do maintenance on your parks. That's why when you have a goal that requires you to build a lot of parks you should also build a Garden Center along with it.

LEVEL PROGRESSION

* This section will show you when new house models, buildings, shops and upgrades will be added.
* Level 4 The Farmhouse is introduced.
* Level 5 How to paint your house is explained in this level.
* Level 6 The blueprint for the Play Park is available for purchase.
* Level 7 The Townhome is available as one of your choices for new homes. Houses become damaged for the first time when the wrench icon appears.
* Level 8 You will need to buy the blueprint for the Coffee Shop and then build one.
* Level 9-The workshop is introduced.
* Level 11-Recycle center is available for purchase.
* Level 12 The Modern Home is introduced.
* Level 13 You now have the ability to inspect houses when you build a workshop.
* Level 16 You will be able to start building the Garden Center which allows you to add landscaping to any house that is yours.
* Level 19 Your workers will now be able to work with lightning speed when you purchase Efficiency Training for them at $75,000.
* Level 20 The Flower Shop is introduced.
* Level 21 Villas are introduced
* Level 22 This is the first time that the Help Wanted sign appears. When you see it, assign a worker to that location.
* Level 23 You can now build a Refinery which can net you a lot of money in profits.
* Level 24 The broom and dustpan are introduced. When you see that icon above a Park you need to assign a worker to it.
* Level 25 You will now be able to construct a Bookstore.
* Level 26 The Business Center is introduced, when you build one you will no longer have to worry about staffing your shops.
* Level 27 Starting at this level once you build a Garden Center your park maintenance needs will automatically be taken care of.
* Level 29 The Zen Park is available for purchase in this level.

Hi Laura,

dont understand really, how this can happen, lol, but anyway, here are the goals for Level 31, build a lot 2:

Goals (1) 1 Red Palace (2) Rent $200,000 (3) Appeal 150+ (4) Last minute goal: 1 Yellow Palace.

Reply

I'm stuck on level 33. Can't get the 250+ appeal. Can anyone help?

Reply

this is how i did in all levels:
1st - build a workshop;

2nd - train 7 workers

3rd - buy 1.200 material

4th - build the most expensive house that you've got (i did a lot of villas, but as soon as i got the palaces blueprint, i did only palaces)

5th - the very first haouse you build, sell it right away, then build the second, sell it too (no upgrades or painting for those), the you will have enough money to keep moving thru the level w/o much hassle...
the hardest thing is to play Casual Mode, the records show some guy that did 1.000.000 and 55+ appeal in 2 minutes and 34 secs.!!! i cannot do in less than 8:26

Hi Vicky,
here is a walkthrough for Level 33

#

Goals (1) 1 Grand Park (2)+250 Appeal (3) Last minute goal $250.000 (4) Another last minute goal is to own 3 parks.

# Train 2 workers
# Build 2 Villas do not paint or upgrade them. As soon as one is ready put it for sale and start building the second one. Sell the second house as soon as you sell the first one.
# You should be able to accumulate $1,200,000.
# If a house comes up for sale as you're trying to sell yours, just press the low-ball button and that house will come off the market.
# Buy 2,500 materials and train one additional worker so you can build the Recycling Center and the
# Workshop at the same time.
# Buy the blueprint for the Grand Park and build one in a middle spot in which you can place Palaces on both sides.
# Build a Garden Center it will keep your parks from needing maintenance.
# Train 10 workers and buy them Efficiency Training.
# If you build 5 Grand parks and place Palaces on each side you will be able to get expert on this level.
# Constantly buy material and property that becomes available.
# Upgrade and inspect all of your properties, you do not want to stop what you're doing to repair houses.

@ Vicki

I forgot to say before: When ever you need a high appeal, its the best to build a park (if possible the grand park) between two houses. The houses will automaticly get the park appeal additional. So when you paint and maybe even landscape this houses, you get the highest impossible appeal.

@ May

Your solution is not bad, but you spend time and money this way.
In the first levels always start with the biggest house you can build, paint it, uprgrade it once or maximum twice and sell it right away. As soon as you have the villa-blueprint, train one or two workers first (depens on with how much workers you start), build a villa to upgrade, paint and sell at once. Never sell an unpaint building, appeal-goals sometimes come while playing and the positive appeal counts for you, even if you sell the house.
Than buy material for doing the receyclingcenter, buy highest amount of material after finishing
and then build workshop, train workers and go on with your goals.

Dont forget to give the worker effective training if possible (when you have the money). That make them work much faster.

When you want to sell a house and another one is on the market, it will dump your prize. Just click "low ball" - when there is no other equal house on the market, it will say sorry and go off the market, so that you can sell your own one to the highest asked prize.

I thought this game was really easy. So much easier than the first one, I finished feeling a little letdown and disappointed.
I sped through all the levels and finished every level before the deadline including the bonus level.
There was no reward for this unlike in the first game.
While there was a bit I liked, I thought shops were useless, I missed the Premium Lots and thought there needed to be more challenge.

I need help i am stuck on level 26 i can get the 1 business center, 3 shops and no - appeal, but i CAN'T get the 140,000.00 rent before the time is up. I have tryed this level at least 15 times and nothing. I HAVE PULLED ALL MY HAIR OUT!!!!! Can anyone HELP ME?????

@K-os

First of all: #giving K-os# a nice wig#
And now: The walkthrough for Level 26

* No negative house appeal means that only the houses cannot have a negative appeal. It's OK to place several buildings next to each other and for the buildings to have a negative appeal on each other.
* Leave one house empty in between all the buildings.Train 2 workers, build a Villa upgrade once and sell right away for $660,000.
* Buy 1,000 materials and build a Recycling Center in an isolated area.
* Buy the maximum amount of materials.
* Build a Workshop next to the Recycling Center if it's available.
* Buy the blueprint for the Business Center, it will cost you $150,000.
* Train 6 workers and buy them Efficiency Training. (You should have 13 workers in total)Start building As many Villas as you can, upgrade to 3 stars and inspect them.(You need at least 5 Villas if you want to make your rental quota early.)
* Buy 5,000 materials.
* Build a Coffee Shop or any shop for that matter, as long as you build 3 shops before the end of the day.
* Buy more materials and build the Business Center next to the Recycling Center and the Workshop.
* If there's a house next to any of those 3 buildings demolish it right away because it's making you have a negative appeal.
* You have to work fast if you want to make expert on this level.
* As soon as some land becomes available buy it (demolish a house if it's on there) and build your other 2 shops as fast as you can.

I have completed all the levels, as well as the bonus levels. Now I'm replaying the levels I didn't get "super efficiency" (a gold star) on. I'm doing fine, I'm up to level 24. Except I cannot get passed level 18. I can get passed it during the full time allotted, but not during the first half of the timer, which is required for a gold star. I have tried and tried and tried, but always finish 30 seconds too late. Does any body have a suggestion? It's driving me nuts!

* Build a Modern house, upgrade to 1 star and sell it right away. You should get $330,000 for it.
* Buy 500 materials and build a Recycle Center in a corner lot.
* Buy 5,000 materials right away and build a workshop in a remote area.
* Train 3 workers and buy them Efficiency Training so they can work faster.
* Start building 3 Modern Houses back to back and upgrade and inspect them all.
* Build a Modern house in a corner lot, paint it, upgrade all the way and inspect as soon as possible.
* Train 3 more workers
* Buy the max amount of materials and start building 3 Townhomes back to back.
* Buy any inexpensive piece of land that becomes available.
* Demolish whatever houses you need to and build Townhouses instead. If you bought a Townhome paint, upgrade and inspect.
* You need to have 6 houses inspected by the end of the day, make sure they're done.

This will do :))

Reply

Hi himomma,

with this walkthrough I made it to gold in this level, but it took me around six or seven trials to be honest :) But you said:"and those 2 are the only ones I can't seem to pass."
Which is the second one?

# LEVEL 35-Walkthrough
Goals (1) No empty lots (2) All houses with a +10 (3) Money $10,000,000 (4) Rent $500,000

First, let me say a HUGE THANK YOU to Kayleigh who is so AWESOME to post all of these walkthroughs!

Kayleigh,

I have gold stars on every level except the second town's bonus level. It is the level that you have to have 1 refinery, $5,000,000 in income, and 30+ appeal rating.

Any suggestions or walkthroughs for this would be greatly appreciated!

Also - do you receive any new levels once you've received a gold star on everything?

Have a great day!
Thanks.

Reply

Hi Chelsea,

thanks for your nice words :))))

There are no bonuslevels for finishing all with goldstars... The only 'second bonus'is, when once you've completed all the bonus rounds you will be able to unlock the "Select a Level" mode in which you can choose to replay any level that you previously played.

Hipsoft said, that they will think about an update in this case, but its not sure, that it will come... maybe they should better make a complet build a lot 3? lool

And here is the walkthrough for Summerville bonus. With this walkthrough, it should work out. Do take care for the general tips also, without it, gold is not possible.

BONUS ROUND SUMMERVILLE

General Tips

You need to build 1 Refinery in the spot that is on the top left side. When the Refinery is built there, it will not affect the appeal of the houses close by.

If you're not getting the layout you need, keep clicking on "restart" and each time you will have a new layout. It would be ideal if the two isolated lots on the top left side were available right away.

If both are not available, at least have one. When the spot next to it becomes available buy it immediately.

You also want to build your Recycling Center and Workshop in that corner. Later on you will demolish the Recycling Center and build the Refinery in its spot.

You need to build 1 Grand Park in a middle spot. You need the spots on each side to be empty so you can get your Appeal points up.

A Palace that has been painted and upgraded 3 times next to a grand Park will sell for $1,950,000 as opposed to a the same house that is not next to a Grand Park will sell for $1,638,000.

Goals (1)1 Refinery (2)$5,000,000 (3)+30 Appeal

Let's Get Started

Build a Townhome, upgrade once and sell it right away for $165,000.

Train 2 workers and build a recycling center, in the top left corner.

Buy 100 materials and Build a Modern House, do not upgrade it, just sell it for $300,000.

Buy 1,000 materials and build a Workshop If the property next to the Recycling Center becomes available buy it right away and build a Workshop next to it.

Start buying small properties, let them earn you a little bit of rent before you demolish them. Most properties are inexpensive in the round so you should have enough money to buy what you need.

Train 2 more workers, and build another Modern sell right away without upgrading and sell it for $300,000.

Train 6 more workers and buy the maximum amount of materials and start building Palaces in corner lots. Also get Efficiency Training for your workers.

Start demolishing your smaller properties, (do not repair them) and build some Palaces instead.

Upgrade, paint and inspect the Palaces ASAP.

In the meantime buy any inexpensive places that come up for sale so you can demolish them and build bigger houses instead.

Buy a lot of materials at one time and then demolish the Recycling Center. Build the Refinery in its place instead.

At this time you should own every property on the lot so you will not have to worry about getting a low offer on your house since you own all of them.

You should have at Least 1 Grand Park (with a Palace on each side) and 3 other Palaces and a Modern Home. All Upgraded to 3 stars and painted.

As soon as the Refinery is finished make sure that you collect the checks right away so you can get the next check as quickly as possible.

Once you're done building the Refinery, you can start selling some of your Palaces, not the ones next to the Grand Park, just the ones below. You'll get $1,638,000 for each house. At that point you should only have to sell 2 of them to get to the $5,000,000 goal.

:))Hi, Danny,

and here we go with Level 27:

This game is totally addictive!
I can't seem to get the gold stars for anything after Calico Crossing 22 and it's getting frustrating. After trying numerous approaches I'm ready for some suggestions. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Hi Elfi,

here we go, the goldstars can be done with this walkthroughs (and little bit of practice, some I had to redo a few times, before it worked out)

Some generally tips before:
*Build a gardencenter in every level and hold it as long as possible, so you dont have to send workers to the parks and you can landscape houses to get an higher appeal.
*Get comfortable with the selling/buying possibilities. If you want to sell something and another building is coming up, just make a low ball - offer. The house will go off the market and you can sell yours to the highest prize.
*Look up before all the goals and keep them in mind. Often you can fullfill last minutes goal while playing, so they are already done when the mayor request them.
*Take a pause by clicking menue. If you play the game in the windowed mode, tapping outside the box will pause the game without the menu box appearing in the center of the screen.

LEVEL 23-Walkthrough
Goal (1) 2 refineries (2) 3 Bungalows (3) Rent $90,000 (4 )last minute goal is to make sure the neighborhood has a +40 Appeal

* Keep an eye on the 2 lots that are next to each other on the lower left side of the screen, it's the ideal spot for the 2 Refineries.
* As soon s you see its available buy it. If you already have it, don't build anything except the Refineries on there.
* Train 2 workers
* Build a Villa, upgrade and sell, you should get $660,000.
* Buy 1,000 materials, build a Recycling Center and buy 15,000 materials at once. Destroy the Recycling Center right after you buy the 15,000 materials.
* Build a workshop where the Recycling Center was and train 6 workers, buy the Efficiency Training for $75,000
* Build 2 Villas quickly and start painting and upgrading and inspecting them.
* Start building Bungalows as well and try to upgrade, paint and inspect.
* Buy the blueprint for the Refineries
* Build 2 Refineries back to back next to each other.
* Destroy the Workshop and place a Garden Center instead and start landscaping all your houses to get the +40 Appeal.

LEVEL 24-Walkthrough
Goals (1) 3 Refineries (2) Own 3 Parks (3) 4 Three Star Villas

* Train 2 workers in order to build a Villa. Even though training 2 workers cost $90,000 it's worth it because you will get more money by selling a Villa than you would a Modern House
* Build a Villa, paint it and sell it right away, the normal asking price is $630,000 but you will only get $598,500 if other houses are up for sale at that time.
* Buy 500 materials and build a Recycling Center in an isolated area.
* Buy 10,000 materials
* Construct a Refinery first so you can earn extra money.
* Build a Villa, paint and upgrade and try to buy whatever inexpensive property comes along.
* As soon as your materials are low buy 5,000 materials.
* Build a Workshop next to the Recycling Center if it's available, if not build it next to the Refinery.
* Train 6 workers and buy them Efficiency Training.
* Finish building your Villas and start working on your shops.
* Buy 5,000 materials.
* Start building towards your 4 Villas ASAP.
* Try to put all 3 of your Refineries in the same section. The area on the lower left side is ideal for this.
* Buy the last of your materials, demolish the Recycling Center and build the last Refinery.

LEVEL 25-Walkthrough
Goals (1) 1 Bookstore (2) +60 Appeal (3) Rent $120,000 (4) Money $1,500,000.

* Buy 1000 materials and build a Recycling Center in a corner.

* If the lot next to the Recycling Center becomes available buy it and build a workshop in that spot.
* Train 6 workers and buy them the Efficiency Training.
* Buy the blueprint for the Bookstore and build it right away.
* Start building as many Villas as back to back as possible.
* Build 2 parks in between some houses, this will help bring your Appeal points up.
* Train 3 more workers and upgrade and inspect the rest of your houses.
* You should have 6 Villas built at this point. Sell one of them if you need to meet your goal of $1,500,000. Just make sure that when you sell a property it doesn't take away from your rental goal.

* Buy 5,000 materials.

* Buy 5,000 materials.

* Train 6 workers for now and buy them Efficiency Training.
* Start building as many Villas as you can, upgrade all the way and inspect them.

* Landscape as many houses at once as fast as you can.
* You can choose to destroy one of your buildings (Recycling Center, Workshop or the Garden Center) if you need the lot for houses.

Hey Mozee.

I've finished all the levels at gold, including bonus levels. Can't remember exactly how I finished level 29, but on all the upper levels I used much the same strategy for getting the gold rating. In the upper levels you have enough money and materials to start the same way, which I've found is crucial for speeding things up at the end and finishing before the bonus time limit. Kayleigh's walkthroughs were also helpful.

1. Build a recycle centre. Cheap materials early on go a long way.

2. Build a work shop. If you don't have enough materials, with the recycle centre you can buy enough at a cheaper price.

3. Purchase the efficiency training.

4. Build the highest level house you can, usually a townhome at this point. Upgrade it as high as you can with the materials you're able to afford and sell it right away.

6. With the money from the sale, buy another three workers and enough material to build a villa, or if you don't have enough materials, modern.

7. Build a villa/modern and upgrade it as high as you can with the materials you have and sell it right away.

8. Build a palace and sell it right away.

At this point you have lots of cash and can start buying up as much property as you can, demolishing the smaller houses and building palaces to collect big rent. With the efficiency training you'll be zipping through building houses/parks and upgrades.

Keep an eye on your goals, and on this particular level, prepare for the last minute goal of 5 painted farm houses. You might have to demolish some of the higher value houses such as villas and palaces to get the farmhouses. Also, if you've stockpiled enough materials to finish the level, don't hesitate to demolish the recycle center to get access to another property to build a farmhouse.

Have to move fast and upgrade things as soon as you can. However another tip is to watch when your rent is about to come in. If it's just about to hit, avoid upgrading houses for a few second to collect the rent, since you don't collect from a house that's in the middle of upgrading.

I basically used this strategy on all the upper levels, as long as the starting workers and materials allowed for the recycle center, workshop, and efficiency training. The efficiency training is crucial to get as soon as you can.

Hope that helps.

BONUS ROUND VIEW HAVEN

Goals (1) Own 14 painted bungalows (2) employ 25 workers (3) $12,000,000 in cash

General Tips

- You want to buy 6 Palaces, paint, ugrade each to 3 stars and let those houses earn you some money.

- Once all 6 Palaces are built you will the start focusing on buying smaller properties, destroying them and then building your Bungalows instead.

- When buying properties for sale, put your own houses up so you can pay a lesser amount for them. That way you can at least save some money while destroying more expensive houses in order to build cheaper ones.

It's important that you start upgrading to 3 stars and painting all your Bungalows so they can earn you money little by little.

Let's Get Started:

- Train 2 workers, build a Villa uprade 2 times and sell for $720,000, or $684,000 if there's another house up for sale. Don't waste time by waiting for a lower offer sell right away and start working.

- If you want to wait for the higher amount, the moment another house comes up for sale, take yours off the market. That way you can still accumulate around $20,000 in rental income while you wait for the other house to "unlist"

- Buy 1,000 materials build a Recycling Center. Once the Recycling Center is built, buy 5,000 materials and build a Workshop next to the Recycling Center.

- Once the Workshop is completed, buy the Efficiency Training and also train an additional 9 workers.

- Buy the smaller properties and destroy them (except for Bungalows you want to start on those little by little).

- In the meantime you have to focus on building expensive houses (Palaces) so you can meet your money goal.

- Buy 5,000 materials and build another Palace and start upgrading the first one.
-Keep buying materials and keep upgrading and inspecting your houses.

-Train 9 more workers and buy a lot of materials at one time, like 20 or 30 thousand and then destroy the Recycling Center and build a Bungalow in its place.

- Paint and upgrade all your Bungalows to 3 stars. Upgrading the Bungalows will bring you extra income that will help towards your goal.

-As properties become available, put your own houses up for sale in order to bring the sale price down. Buy them and demolish them so you can get to your goal of 12 painted Bungalows.

Hi Kayleigh,
I still have a problem with level 31, I can't see the premier lots, I have just normal lots. Nothing is shown with a golden button with a P in the middle, I don't see this button. And I can't buy the surfshop blueprint, because I don't have it in blueprints.
I can't build some other building like a library and bank. I don't have this building in the build menu. I have no idea what to do with it, and I need to build the surf shop, if I want to go to the next level.

Thanks

Hi Katarina,

sorry for the late answer :(

For me that sounds like you have a buggy version. I heard early from others, that they dont have the surfshop-blueprint.

The only solution for this is, to contact the site, where you bought the game and hear, what their support will say.

The comments below had me confused. I didn't understand the answer.
I don't have the option to inspect either OR buy Efficiency in casual mode and sometimes when I go back to replay a level.
Does anyone know why??
Help!

"so i'm playing the casual game and on the first unlocked town, i wasted money and materials on the blueprints and building the workshop and garden center and it wont give me the option to inspect or landscape, is this a bug?

Hi Nicki,

no, its no bug, because you can use in every town only the options, which where possible to use in the campaign also.

I just completed the game but I'm stumped by the bonuses the Mayor gives you to do. There are one for each city. Do you have walkthroughs for the 8 bonuses the mayor gives you? These are harder than the game.

Goals (1) Money $5,000,000 (2)Last Minute Goal, 13 empty lots.

  • Train 2 workers and build a Villa, upgrade once and sell right away for $660,000 or $627,000 (it depends if a house comes up for sale or not).

  • Buy 1,000 materials and build a Recycling Center. If the spot is available place it in the middle row, last 2 spots on the right.

  • If the property next to the Recycling Center is available, build the Workshop there. If it's not available, buy it as soon as it comes up and build the Workshop.

  • Buy the maximum amount of materials and build a Workshop next to the Recycling Center.

  • As soon as the workshop is finished, give your workers Efficiency Training and train 6 more workers.

  • As the Workshop is being built, buy some smaller properties that become available.

  • Start building Palaces, paint and upgrade ALL your Palaces to 3 stars and inspect them as soon as you can.

  • Train a lot of workers at once, you want to have a total of 28 workers by the end of the game so that you can demolish 3 Palaces at a time.

  • You have to buy every property available in order to accomplish this goal.

  • You have to be super fast in order to get the expert score in this level. Stay constantly busy, buying, demolishing and building only Palaces.

  • Always buy the maximum amount of materials.

  • As houses come up for sale you want to "low-ball" their offers. Put 4 of your own houses up for sale so that your "low-ball" offer will be accepted.

  • Make sure that immediately after your offer has been accepted that you "unlist" your house really fast. Houses that are up for sale do not earn income

  • As soon as you see that your money is close to 5 million dollars, start demolishing 3 properties at a time.

  • This is very important, you want to demolish your Workshop last. The reason for that is that if you destroy it too quickly your workers will work slower since they will no longer have their Efficiency Training.

  • Clear all 12 lots and you're done

Bonus level Maple Creek

Goals (1) Own 3 Palaces upgraded with 3 stars (2) Own 1 Garden Center (3) Landscape 3 Palaces (4) Own 1 Grand Park.

  • There are 21 lots in total available in this round.

  • Build a Townhome and upgrade to 3 stars and sell it for $195,000.

  • Buy 1,000 materials, train 2 workers and build a Recycling Center in a corner lot.

  • Buy an empty lot as soon as you see it come up.

  • Buy 500 materials for $20,000 and build a Modern home in an empty lot and upgrade 2 times and sell it for $360,000.

  • Buy 5,000 materials and train 4 workers and build a Palace in a corner lot ( You want to leave the middle empty so you can build your Grand Park, paint and upgrade that house.

  • Construct 2 Palaces back to back

  • Buy the smaller locations as they become available and demolish them. Try and get a lower offer.

  • Buy 5,000 materials and keep upgrading the Palace and start building the Grand Park.

  • Construct your last Palace, buy the max amount of materials and destroy the Recycling Center and build the Garden Center instead.

  • Finish painting and upgrading all your Palaces and once the Garden center is built, landscape all your Palaces.

  • Buy some more material and finish all your jobs.

  • Construct your last Palace, buy the max amount of materials and destroy the Recycling Center and build the Garden Center instead.

  • Finish painting and upgrading all your Palaces and once the Garden center is built, landscape all your Palaces.

  • Buy some more material, train 3 more workers and finish all your jobs

Hope this two are already a help

Greetings, Kayleigh

I have finished all Bonus levels with a gold start EXCEPT Rockwood.

Does anyone have a walkthrough for that city's Bonus Round?

Thanks so much!

So... I'm a francophone and I don't understand the meaning of the sentence (in bonus for maple creek)•Construct 2 Places back to back
but we can't turn them... does that mean i have to put them each on one row???????????? can't find the meaning of it

I am really confused by how to pass level 22. The requirements say I need to own 3 shops but I can only build 2 and I can't buy any blueprints to build the 3rd shop. Any ideas?

I have played through all levels, but did not receive gold stars on all so after completing the bonus, I tried to get gold stars on the missing ones.

I played a level, finished it easily, but did not receive a star. Tried again and again - nothing.

I even reset the whole game data and started over. Easily finished a bunch levels, looked at the level selection view and some didn't have stars.

Basic question...which is not explained anywhere... what is the criteria for getting a gold star? Finishing on time only?

I am playing Build-a-Lot 2, and I am on Level 34 and CANNOT pass it! I read through the Walkthrough, which said to build the Palaces first...how in the heck do you do that? There is not enough money or workers! Thanks!
