Back to Zombieland

In Hidden Layer Games' arcade action jump-and-run game Back to Zombieland, you're a peace loving zombie with an appreciation for skateboards and stopping to smell the roses... too bad that angry mob wants to tear you to pieces and put you back in the ground as violently as possible! Launch your zombie when the power is maxed, then use the mouse to direct him as he runs, clicking to jump over obstacles or on top of rats for a bit of extra cash to spend on upgrades. When humans appear, tapping the [spacebar] will activate your weapon to blast them away, but when your stamina runs out you'll be overwhelmed, so you'll definitely need to grind for more upgrades. It's silly and whimsical, with a light-hearted tone and enough variation to the obstacles and landscape to keep you coming back for more... maybe even from beyond the grave!

Another game that would be significantly improved with the ability to remap controls.

Cool! Didn't take as long as these kinds of games sometimes do. Not sure whether that's bad or good.

Victory in 53 min. Can anyone do better?

This game is a great example of a 2D sidescrolling platforming game-type. The controls are simple, even though it would be better if you could remap the controls. The original Super Mario is just like this. You can use weapons, like Mario can use his fireballs. You can jump on rats, where you can jump on goombas with Mario. You can also collect coins, which is the biggest similarity of them all. When talking about the genre of the story, it is clearly a zombie action game. The zombie is simply trying to get away from the humans, trying to prove that he is not a flesh eating creature like they think he is.
