10x10 is not just a tired and barely different spin off from Tetris. It's very much its own thing.
Otherwise known as TenTrix, it's a block based puzzler that challenges your spatial awareness to the max.
Sounds familiar, yes. But as you can see from the screenshots this is no Tetris clone.
A Real Blockbuster

The game starts by presenting you with three polyomino shapes at the bottom of the screen. Unlike in Tetris the shapes cannot be rotated.
Also don't get distracted by the colours of the shapes - they don't mean anything, they are merely for decorative purposes.
Your main objective is to place these shapes on the grid to complete rows and columns. These will then disappear, leaving room for more shapes.
Once those first three shapes are dragged onto the grid new shapes will appear, and so on. You'll get points for each block placed, and every line cleared.
The game session ends when no more shapes can be placed in the grid. So we'd recommend leaving spaces for larger shapes such as the 3x3 square, just in case they show up.
Thinking ahead is essential, and making sure you figure out how best to use all three of those initial pieces is vital in grabbing the highest score possible.
Anything Else?

So that's how the game works, and we'd recommend everyone to give it a try. 10x10 is free to play by visiting the Solitaire Paradise site here, and it's even mobile friendly - so you can have a go whatever you happen to be reading this on.
There are also leaderboards on the site where you can compete with others, adding a very welcome competitive element if you need that.
If you just want to relax and make some blocks disappear that's quite alright too.
