10 is Again

ArtbegottiA couple months ago, iojoe asked you to count to 10 in a clever number sliding puzzle. Now he wants you to count to 10 again, but this time, with more maths! 10 is Again is a follow-up to the math puzzler that introduces multiplication, division, and inversion to the mix. As before, your goal is to add numbers together by clicking and dragging to slide them into each other. When the sum reaches ten, they lock into place; combine all the tiles to make tens, and you've beaten the level!

10 is AgainAt no point in time can a tile's total go over ten or be a non-integer, so you've got to plan how you'll use the multiplication and division symbols carefully. Large numbers can also be tricky to move around freely, so there's still more of a challenge than just mindlessly smushing numbers together. If you can finish all 55 puzzles in this second level pack, you deserve a high five! Twice!

One of the few games where I wished I had a touchscreen device instead of a mouse... Do yourself a favor and get it on a mobile device (I hope a link to the developer is ok; I'm always confused to read reviews on JIG (all of them?) without an outside link).

And dont forget 9, a free cousin of 10 for Android and iOS. So many levels in such a short timeincredible!

Steve - the new levels were included in the same app (on iOs, at least, I don't have an Android device these days to check). There are some minor differences - the iOs app doesn't include the new tutorial levels - but overall, if you get the app on a mobile device, you get both level sets.

To be a bit clearer - all the level sets in this second game except "intro" were added to the original iOs app in an update a couple of days ago. There are some differences to the levels in the set "10 is here again" - it is called "10 is here" in the iOs app, and is missing the first level of the flash version, but levels 2-15 of the flash version are included (I think, I didn't check all of them), and it includes 11 other levels not found in the flash version.

Erm, feeling a little silly getting stuck so early on, but I can't crack 'Multiplying is fun' level 8. Help? :)

@stephalderton: Here is a hint for how to solve it logically:

At the beginning, the sum of all numbers is 34. You have to change this sum to either 30 or 40 by using the 3 cell. For this purpose, which number should go to the 3 cell?

@fcp

3... I think... That would add 6. But how can I get a 1 to add to the 9 that's already there, and/or the 9 I would make by doing 3x3? I could do 9-2=7 but then there would be no 3. Aagh XD

@stephalderton multiply the -2 by the x3

@stephalderton: I wrote either 30 or 40 for a reason. ?

[In case anyone is wondering why I put a question mark at the end of my previous comment, I did not. For some reason, the server silently converted my heartwarming Unicode smiley (U+263A) to an ugly question mark. What is the preview good for if it does not show the accurate preview?]

Great game!

I found the multiplication / division levels to be particularly challenging, but also somewhat tedious because you end up sitting there having to keep counting up all the tiles after each turn to make sure you're reaching a multiple of 10. It would help if, somewhere on the screen, it showed the sum of all remaining numbers, which would take away the tedious aspect.

I enjoyed the hardest 'traditional' levels the most, where the challenge is just to seat the final squares in the outlined boxes.

Please keep producing more levels! -M
