Treasure Box
A cross between a point-and-click puzzle game, interactive art, and a Rube Goldberg invention, Treasure Box is a gorgeous and fun little Flash game that puts you to the task of finding the treasure of a king long since passed. It's a short and beautiful interactive multimedia adventure from an artist with a purpose.

You have to restart the game from there if you're stuck. You need to unlock everything first. Go back to the start and this time, when you get to the generator, click the star next to it. If you did that anyway then you've probably missed something else. Gt it right and the ball will land next to a sitting frog at the bottom.
Thanks, Michelle. I've posted a new entry about that one. =)
I don't thinkg that the scrolling problem is due to "not unlocking everything." The window from the referring page scrolling is even worse than it from the pop-up on this site. What I had to do is "feel" my way around after the piano and then the rest of the game works fine. It may be a screen resolution thing.

Press the wierd eclipse. LOL! It's actually a giant's head.
-
Press the red ball to launch it. Wait until there is no animation.
-
Click the solo picture, and the wierd guy will place pictures next to him.
-
Then click on the button next to the hole.
-
Press the 8th painting, left-to-right, top-to-bottom. He will knock off the wood. The machine will run and you will get to the generator.
-
To skip it, just open the window below, wait, and press the other window, to the right.
-
If you want to play it, press the shimmering square. Use the wooden gu's arm to generate electricity to light 3 bulbs.
A train will move the ball onto the next section.
-
-
Play numbers: 5-8-12-5-2-4 (thanks Aaron).
-
The ball will fall next to a frog. Click him twice.
-
Here comes the final stage! Use the man on the flying contraption to propel the ball to the top border.
-
Wait a few cutscenes, and then press the guy's mouth.
-
Congrats! You win nothing!
I know this is gonna sound stupid, but it seems the game page is too big for my screen; I've tried everything I can think of to shrink it a bit. Anyway, after the intro, the music plays and a bird flies around once in a while but I dont even know how to start playing. Wondered if I needed to click on something that is out of my view??
Jackie - it doesn't sound stupid at all. The game is quite large (775 x 750) so you will need a display resolution of about 1024 x 768 to view it entirely.
And in the very beginning of the game, you need to click down by the bottom of the window on what will be the top part of a head that will pop-up when clicked.
Try clicking on the "Treasure Box" link in the text of the review. That will open a new browser window with scroll bars for you if your screen is not large enough to display it completely.
That was SO fun and silly. I loved it! I didn't have any problems with the generator perhaps because I use a touchpad which requires a lot less movement. It takes less than 8 seconds to get all 3 bulbs going that way.
By the way, Jay, thanks for all the work you do reviewing these games. Seems like a lot of the ones you recommend I agree are good quality.
I was so hooked on this sweet little game i did some searching and i found more... :)
I play on a laptop and was getting nowhere with the generator. On accident I discovered a cheat to skip the generator sequence altogether!
click on the snake's hole again to deliver it to the wrestler a second time (keep doing it until he says, "Thank you." The screen will lower, so you can begin on the piano bit.
After clicking the frog twice, the ball gets tossed up never to be seen again. I right clicked and selected "play" from the menu which got the game in motion again. The ball reappeared and continued on to the flying head. When clicked, the head produces more heads and so on until the treasure box appears which seems to be empty. At the end, the ball rolls out. If you click it, though, you are taken to another window which has an error. mofunzone.com
Anyway, that's a fix for the ending.
