Tercessrebmun (Secret Numbers)
Tonypa is back with a new puzzle game and this one will surely give your grey matter a work out. In the spirit of Web-based riddle games, Tercessrebmun (or Secret Numbers) is a Flash game in which you must figure out the password for each of the game's 30 levels. Each level presents a series of characters from which you must derive meaning and clues that point to a single numeric answer.

i got past levels one through six:
1:
pretty straightforward: 10
2:
again, pretty obvious: 2
3:
if you look at the first letter of each line, it spells out: 7
4:
just read it backwards, and it says "one less than a hundred" or: 99
5:
for this one, i just figured out how many tuesdays there were in each month and then multiplied that by the number of months in a year to get: 48
6:
a bit trickier, the first letter of each word spells out MMVIII, or, in roman numerals: 2008
i'm really stuck on level seven though
Stuck on level 9 atm.
Hints:
Level 1:
Straightforward addition
Level 2:
Straightforward instruction following
Level 3:
Look down.
Level 4:
Look back.
Level 5:
Combination of two tactics you already used.
Level 6:
What empire was Caesar part of?
Level 7:
"Bin" is a key word.
Level 8:
The meaning is important.
Solutions:
Level 1:
Add the numbers to get: 10
Level 2:
The level number is: 2
Level 3:
Read down the first letter of each line to get "seven": 7
Level 4:
Read backwards to get "one less than a hundred": 99
Level 5:
Read the first letter of each word backwards to get "eight times six": 48
Level 6:
Read the first letter of each word as Roman numerals to get MMVIII: 2008
Level 7:
"Bin" refers to "binary" numbers. Read o as 0 and I as 1 to get the binary number 1010011: 83
Level 8:
Count the number of spaces in the poem: 13
Oh, fool me... Of course they mean "actual level/total number of levels"
I thought they are kind of range because they are placed directly under "Hints and spoilers" - of course I thought it's kind of a hint...
Maybe that would be useful to make it clearer, Tony - if you're reading this.
I like the game a lot altho probably im not gonna get too far since im playing alone.
On Level 12: well, if you...
take the first symbol, dot or dash, of each of the nine words in Morse code, you get .-...-.--, which is Morse code for LAW, which is Dewey Decimal 340 in the library.
So the answer is 340, except that of course it isn't. I'd already thought of the Samuel Finley Breeze thing, but it wasn't obvious what to do with that...
ok for number 12 i feel really off...
i found a morse code translator and put in the whole thing and got
.. / ..-. .. -. -.. / .. -. / .-.. .. -... .-. .- .-. -.-- .-.-.- / .. .-.. .-.. ..- ... - .-. .- - . -.. .-.-.- / -... --- --- -.- ... .-.-.- / .-- --- .-. -- ... .-.-.- / . .- - .-.-.- / .--. .- --. . ... .-.-.- / -. ..- -- -... . .-. ... .-.-.- / ... --- ... .-.-.- / -.. ..- ... - .-.-.- / -.-. .... .- .. .-.
which i'm assuming is way off
also if the periods are the dots...then the spaces could be the dashes? even with that knowledge i'm completely stumped on how to turn that into something with the dewey dec. system
Bah help me
13 - still working on this one, but maybe this will help
each line has three sets of nine digits, none of which is repeated within each set
this gave me replacements for the missing numbers, (though not necessarily the order) but they didn't appear to work. after that, i am stuck.
possibly even less relevant
this would make the bottom "283" which is a prime number
On #22: I've got
The whole "Prime Number Thirty" thing.
It seems pretty apparent that it's not
anything to do with the prime number in the thirties, hence the singular thirty.
This leads me to believe that
it means the thirtIETH prime, which if my math is right is 101
, but that's not working either. Any insights?

THE QUICK BROWN FOX JUMPS OVER THE LAZY DOG
14 27 4 11 5 0 1 18 14 4 6 15 6 21
Hints:
You'll have to count this one out.
Literally
Solution:
Count the 14th letter, then the 27th after that, then the 4th after that, etc.
FIRSTTHREEOFPI
314 is the first three numbers in PI, and the solution.
Seeing as 30 could be still trouble, here are some more hints:
You dont have to convert mice word to numbers, the hint in there was mICE, meaning slippery ground.
Now if the blind mouse would move in the maze, it would probably bump into walls.
All letters except X are counted as walls.
Move until there is dot in instructions, then read the last letter you hit.
Well with all the hints surrounding 30, I was finally able to finish the game. Thanks Tonypa for creating such an exhilarating mental coaster ride. Version 2 on its way? Maybe? If you can somehow manage to pull together the creative talents of the JIG community, then I can see nothing but a bigger, better, much more engaging experience that is Tercessrebmun 2. Or shall it be 2 Tercessrebmun? =)
#30: what am I missing?!
I'm failing at the very last step. I followed all hints given and get 4 letters (two of which are the same) and no fifth letter (or as I did: define the starting '.' as a valid result).
Concretely, I get as a result:
BEBU.
with that:
I tried all year-numbers (birth, death, disco hit) of the argentinian composer (to no avail) and there is also a romanian river by that name (which leaves me completely clueless)... There seems to be no anagram either...
To make the confusion perfect:
It seems to me, that there are a few obsolete moving instructions having the mouse bumping into the maze's "boundary-walls" just for fun. Or is the mouse supposed to do some "pacman-warping-thing" appearing at the opposite side of the maze?!
*sigh*, please kindly guide this lost soul out of its maze...
#30 to Tiri
My own mice have had big headache before I found the "exit".. euh.. the correct worde
Seems your mice have taken a wrong way..
your
first letter is correct.
your
second too
if
your mice bumped into wall, doesn't matter.go on with next instruction
the word to find is longer as yours
good Luck
oups! who is waiting "Season 2" of "secret numbers" :)
#31:
Ok so I figured out that "OVER" is a clue to
invert the characters in the second line (namely: ROT-13)
And the resulting characters appear to be yet another
anagram, since I can see the word "multiply" in there
But I can't make head or tail of the rest of it. As far as I can tell, there just aren't enough
vowels to complete the anagram
I don't know what to do with the word "GAME", so I suspect that has something to do with what I'm missing. Perhaps I'm completely on the wrong track?
Help?
#30: thank you all guys for the advice, I got it right now =)
DON'T move in maze like this:
Duh! What I did wrong is to execute every set of moving instruction from the starting 'dot' and I did fancy stuff like displacing the mouse of the 'dot'-field in order to start it going in order to move; obviously my 5th mouse was extremely dumb...(I guess, I still assumed there where 8 mice, of which for some strange reason only 5 got to move/escape/whatever with their own set of moving instruction)
bh:
I've posted Walkthroughs including step by step hints and solutionsa for levels 1 through 19 above. I'll be working on others as I can, but I'm moving this weekend, so I may not be able to post them for a few days.
BTW, Guys! I'm stuck on 27. I've converted the numbers to
TH-HN-EE-OM-SE-LI-OM
But I can't get a decent
anagram
Help?
Thanks for the game Tonypa, I enjoyed it, however it should come with a disclaimer that
if it were any more obscure it would be impossible to beat.
@master_flea
you got the codes right, too many letters though, just the first letter.
then if you still are stuck
the anagram is obscure, the answer is a code

Congrats on your new game tonypa!
I like how it is numeric/logic one side and poetry/proze at the other side. I came to level10, I probably play the rest with the walkthrough in my hand.
Wow, and I guess you exceeded the amount of comments on a game here on JIG ever, or at least in the shortest time-span.
Are those of you who are asking for help with specific levels aware that there is a walkthrough above on this page that gives some hints before giving away the answer for all 30 levels?
Find it here:
https://jayisgames.com/archives/2007/12/secret_numbers.php#walkthrough
In my opinion, Tonypa ALWAYS does great games. They're always unique, creative, and force you to think outside the box.
However, that has its downside: Sometimes, like with this game, a lot of levels are really obscure in figuring out the direction to go in.
For example, Level 19
You are presented with lines of words with NO indication towards any words. Alright, the letters don't seem to jumble up into any numbers. Alright, so what is going on? Apparently, you have to figure out the last line is a command. Then you have to figure out that said command means remove certain letters from the puzzle. Now, the last part of the puzzle seems more the style of this numbers game, but it is very obscure in reaching that point.
My point is I love games that are hard enough to desire
a walkthrough and you try your best to go without one, but obscurity that forces you into a guide only makes me feel dumb.
Nevertheless, Tonypa has delivered another great time waster.
