It's certainly very noisy... nice graphics, but gets tedious pretty quickly.
Dev mode doesn't seem to do anything, according to the video it should change that little tag to a pine tree but when I click Ok, nothing in the game changes.
@Tom: first click on OK to activate Dev Mode, then play, then Esc.
Afterwards I would recommend to click
"menu" - "Download Editor Help File" to understand the basics of the Dev Mode.
The Tag shouldn't change into a pine tree; In the tutorial video they use an older version of steamlands featuring a pine tree instead of a square tag. Nitrome had to change it due to copyright problems.
