You know, somewhere deep in the blackness of infinite space, there have to be all sorts of life forms bouncing around the void. Space clowns, for example, could exist here, living off of stray particles or digesting dark matter itself. With these life forms comes the inevitable life forms that feed off of them. In the case of Space Parasite, an arcade/action game by Kale Kramlack and Andy Wolff, you are that life form, infecting every piece of space life that floats your way!

Walkthrough Guide

Enemies:

You can have up to three kinds of enemies in a round. Enemies are unlocked by increasing your "enemy" skill.
Frail: No special abilities.
Bumper: When possessed, will bounce off the sides of the screen instead of leaving.
Speedy: Moves quickly. Kills things it runs into. If you're possessing it, this will count as a kill for you. This will (I think) waste a powerup if you kill the special enemy.
Bombi: Kills everything nearby when it dies. This will waste a powerup if you kill the special enemy.
Sloth: Slows down all other enemies when possessed. Also slows down the rate enemies get on screen.
Hypno: Other enemies will circle you if you're possessing one.

Powerups:

Time: Time Freeze. All enemies stop moving. Enemies will still enter the screen, but stop when they get there.
Speed: Fire Shot. You will automatically kill everyone you run into.
Chain: Thunder Strike. You will fly into the center of the screen an shoot off several lightning bolts, which kill everything they hit. It is relatively easy to keep your combo going after you use this.
Force: Whirlwind Pull. For a short period, you will automatically pick up all gems.
Enemy: Dark depths. For a short time, you will suck in all enemies on the screen, then kill them. During the course of using this one, and slightly afterwards, you will probably pick up most of the gems on screen. It can be sort of difficult to keep the combo going.
Prize: Midas Gaze. All enemies on screen explode into gems. Good luck keeping your combo.

The games good but maybe it'd be better if you could collect and attract gems while possessing enemies.
