First impressions count for a lot. In the case of Soul Redeemer, the new top down zombie action shooter by the Bekho Team, it introduces itself with a plot-explaining narration that cracked me up, though I don't think it was supposed to. Still, whenever a game starts by expounding on how, every couple centuries or so, the alignment of constellations somehow release demonic forces to eat our souls, and the only thing standing in their way is a warrior dude in asymmetrical armor shooting stuff... I'm going to stay around. And I'm glad I did! While Soul Redeemer is not the most original of games, it has a charm to it that fans of the genre should enjoy.

Looks awesome, but it's not loading for me :( , it just stays in zero.

[The game is definitely loading properly. What OS/browser/Flash Player versions are you using? -Jay]

Don't worry, I just downloaded the latest flash player and now it's working. Thanks anyway!

Not my genre, but incredible amount of bells and whistles.

Okay game, too bad they stole music from the DSi ware game Soul of Darkness.

[Are you certain it was stolen? Many times game developers will obtain (license) music from common sources, freelance musicians who create music for games. Do you know the name of the piece of music and its author? -Jay]

Has anyone got to spica? How do you avoid the lasers?

ganondorfchampion,
you can avoid the lasers by

going up towards the top of the screen, by the demon's face.

That won't help you for the second half, but you should be able to figure that out on your own.

There's also a small bug in the game which can help you upgrade your weapons more quickly:

Souls are reset when you die; you don't keep any you just collected, but you do keep any you had at the start of the stage, even if you had already spent them. So if you beat stages until you have over 130 souls, you can just upgrade, die, upgrade, die, and repeat until you've got everything at max.

Impossible to play with a european keyboard!

Wow...the final level was extremely disappointing. Levels 2 and 4 also should have been changed. I can't wait for the squeal though!
