Reaching Finality
Don't you just hate it when you're sleeping soundly and a lost soul enters your body and politely requests you help it get back to the afterlife? In Cory Martin's lovely little action RPG Reaching Finality, you're one such lucky person, helping out a spirit by fighting your way through forest and dungeon armed with little more than a pitchfork and a fancy straw hat. Not that the hat does anything other than make you look cool, of course.

Is anyone else finding the controls annoyingly sticky? Oftentimes I'll press X and the character won't attack.
I liked Seedling... and I like this... but, people, everyone loved Zelda, we get it, now maybe some innovation would be nice? Hmm?
@cendare: What sort of innovation, may I ask?
Controls are way too sticky - I get killed because the game doesn't respond, not because of lack of skill, and that's just a complete turn-off for me, sorry!
I didn't find the controls to be sticky at all. In fact, I thought they were fairly responsive. On the whole, I quite enjoyed the game! Not terribly difficult, not too long but not too short, decent exploration, and none of the maps were SO large that backtracking was a huge deal. Pretty solid little game.
@Soniclover: I guess "hitting things that contain hearts etc, but that aren't pots and bushes" would be a start. How about "when you die, coming back with a number of hearts that isn't always three"?
Seriously, I hope I didn't come across too negative. It's just, sometimes it gets a bit samey.
@cendare:
But then how would anyone know what to do?
Improvements alienate generations. That's why i listen to the radio and draw in caves.
Get a grip!
/sarcasm
I agree :)
The x button also sticks for me... but only for the final boss -_-
I didn't have sticky button issues, but the collision detection did seem to be off (bats especially seemed to do damage without actually touching me). Anybody else notice this?
Has anyone beat the boss?
