Obsolescence
Ever been attacked by a giant doily from outer space? At the very least, that's how we're choosing to interpret Connor Ullmann's bullet hell shooter Obsolescence. I give the game 1 out of 5. ( It's just not my 'thang' )
I give the phrase "Giant space doily" a 6 out of 5. ( Best description 'evah' )
Star Castle Redux. Anyone here old enough to remember it? c. 1980. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8HHRCA6CS8k
Surprisingly addicting. It's like the boss level of a top-down shooter, but without the walls.
I found the laser turret to be a bit too difficult. It's possible to die in one hit, rather than three with it.
I found one detail interesting, and I think it casts a whole new light upon the game's title...
Whenever you kill a boss, you become the next boss's core.
Having trouble with boss #8:
(multiple lasers, a ring of fast-shooting medium-size doily cannons surrounded by shields)
Any hints/suggestions?
Is there a way to pause the game?
Yes, 'p' pauses the game (and 'm' mutes/unmutes the audio).
