Tips for Mining Truck 2:
-
You can only lose a level by crashing and every time you finish you should make some form of money. If you need upgrades, focus on getting cargo there. The cheapest cargo is crates, then barrels, bags, minerals and best-paying is oil.
-
You get a coin for every ten seconds left on the clock.
-
Bags are best caught with open trailers. The mechanical claws have trouble reaching them in mine carts.
-
Once the mechanical claw moves a load, move forward to avoid it getting caught on your remaining cargo.
-
If an objective says 'Deliver goods in x seconds' it is achievable as long as you deliver something that level considers 'goods'. Exceptions are when the game asks for ALL of something.
-
Don't be afraid to backtrack - many goals can only be achieved by going back a forth a few times in the level.
-
Explore the levels for other types of cargo, which can bring you much more cash.
-
[Spacebar] activates everything in the game, including the ramps. Keep an eye out for big, wobbly ramps - they are also affected.
-
Some of the treasure items are very useful - it's worth your time finding and recovering them.

@ensoul I do agree about the cranes and I probably should have mentioned them in the tips.
I found that they worked okay most of the time, but can sometimes be quirky. For example, not having the boxes sit exact can often be a problem. It's also smart to, if you are delivering multiple loads, to move forward and wait for the crane to finish its loop around.
And, yes, sometimes it just doesn't do its job. But this is why its smart, if you are gunning for a star by delivering goods within a certain time, to only aim for one item to make it to the end.
Fortunately the suction machines for the minerals and oil are forgiving.
I found the game started lagging after a while of playing.
The suction device can also suck the driver up into the processing machine - you don't get any gold however (it does spit out his skeletal remains).
And speaking of remains, you can also collect some bones and convert those into gold as well.
I managed to get all achievements and treasures.
The "Get all oil" i by far the trickiest. The trick is to drive as slow as you can and not make any sudden movements. Ease the cart up and down the ramps.
It took me around 20 tries to get it.
BTW, even though I hated the game at first and stopped playing after 15 minutes, it kept pulling me back.
You really have to get proficient to get all stars, its a shame that there is no real end to the game - you get everything and that's it.
Sure, there are a couple of annoying glitches but the gameplay and graphics more than make up for it :)
Seems like a really good game with two major flaws:
- that ***** crane at the end: why does it need to be so slooooooow and, of course, stupid. The crane alone almost kills the game. Perhaps a nice idea: make the crane upgradeable too.
- why do you lose a cart so quickly? i've upgraded the connections twice and still, with the least shock, i lose one or two carts?!
- too bad that reaching objectives is only rewarded by advancing game levels (would be nice if you got extra coins for it)
I'll keep playing, hoping that some more upgrades will ease the pain.

I played it once on another site, and I had this really weird bug that I had never seen happen in any other game of this type. The crane deposited my cargo, and the crane stayed stuck to my truck, and I drove away with it attached to it, and due to the physics, it actually obstructed my driving on parts of the level. Did not exactly make me want to play the game again after encountering a bug like that so soon in the game.
evolverr (or anyone else who has done this) - how do you get the treasure on level 5? from what I can tell you have to
destroy one of the bridges by repeatedly driving over it but every time I try that I wind up crashing - I can't seem to make it to the lower rails in one piece - much less with a cart attached to haul the treasure
Fun game, but it would be a lot more enjoyable if it weren't for that crane. Not only is it so persnickety about picking things up, but I've even had it pick up two of my objects and toss them up top with no problem, only to have the two objects get jammed at the opening on top of the coin machine. It caused me to miss my goal on the level and forced me to replay it. This game would be so much fun if it weren't hamstrung by such a tedious and seemingly unnecessary issue.
