Metropolis Amnesia
An escape-the-room game that contains some winks at science-fiction cult favorites giving Metropolis Amnesia its heart. The design is well-planned and easy to navigate, quickly completed in or near the 15 minute mark. In that span of time spent exploring this mod- designed apartment, you will need to be observant, jot down a few notes, do a little deductive reasoning, and make sense of a jumbled picture—yet it's easy—not so much as to insult your intelligence, but easy enough to make it an engaging moment of repose.

It was a nice little game, there was just one point that I thought was totally random and illogical, which is the bit that bxgurl813 is stuck on on!
Try taking that gem to the picture hanging above the bed in the second room. Don't ask me why it does what it does, but give it a go!
It makes no sense, I know. But other than that, this game was nice!
Argh. PoP will probably mean that I figure it out once I hit "submit", BUT...I started this then had to go do something and now cannot remember if/when I've seen the clue that tells one
how to unlock the rightmost cabinet, w/ the four shape buttons.
Hint? Please? I'm not sure if I just feel like I've seen it or if it's just because of playing so very, very many games where I've seen things like it in the past...
Of course I immediately figured it out after posting. What threw me off is that pressing enter in the username or password box actually inserts a new line into the box! That makes it look like the password was rejected and cleared to try again, but it's still there, hidden, foiling your attempts to enter the correct password. You have to delete it manually even if it looks like there's nothing there.

Did you view the clue yet? The game is set-up that clues must be viewed before you can solve the puzzle... the clues for computer:
-
On the shelves over bed headboard, there is a blue diary that says "smith's diary." (there's also a picture tile inside it.)
-
Put together the tile puzzle on the wall above the computer (16 pieces) to make a movie poster for Metropolis
The user name and pass isn't working. I got to the end step with the flash drive in the computer and even read the walkthrough but I'm stuck and can't seem to get
Smith and Metropolis
to work properly.
[Nabob, try the information in the "note" at the start of the walkthrough...that might un-stuck you. ;-) elle]
Paul
Once you put the flash drive in the computer, the screen will ask for user (smith) and pass (metropolis). As soon as you type them in, you won't have to hit enter because the code for the door lock will show.
If that's not working, try clearing your cache and making sure you have the most recent version of Flash.
Better yet, first try the two excellent suggestions below mine . . .
:)
Paul:
JIGuest mentioned that "pressing enter in the username or password box actually inserts a new line into the box." So if you've been pressing enter, you'll have a bunch of lines above the one you're typing, making it impossible to type the right answer. Try backspacing until you can't go any farther, then type the answers.
