Cool game but I'm no good at these. Had to peek at the walk through, heh. I was close! I like this one though, fairly simple and straightforward, hoping to see the next one soon. That clock is really annoying.

yay, 7:38! i'm looking forward to the rest of the series! i really liked doing this game online, since i know that there's no way a big kid like me can easily squeeze my body around in a small car. (trust me, i have a hard enough time getting into cars as is...)
one thing that also catches my attention about this game is the fact that you're escaping a car... because, how many escape-the-ROOM games have we done? a car's a nice spin on the genre, and i'm looking forward to what's coming next... maybe a greenhouse? phone booth? sousaphone case?

something always gets stuck between the cracks
Played this last night when it was first posted, but failed to comment. My first game time was 7:56 to fully complete. My second time was 1:07 only because a misclick or 2 was it not under a minute. Note that that time also includeds grabbing the wiring guide even though i knew the wires, but then that way its a legit win.
I escaped in 1:50, because i couldn't connect the wires. can't wait for the new game! i love it! so fun!

i played the game once. ive got the flashlights combined with batteries. screw driver. electrical tape. and the key to the compartment. ive wired all the wires under the steering wheel and nothing seems to happen. ive been playing this game for an hour and nothing seems to work. i dont know what to do and the sound of the clock is creeping me out. so i finally gave up and close the window for the game. but... this is where it gets scary... the clock is still clicking.... my body begins to chill as i figure how to stop the ticking of the clock. ive try the task manager but nothing seems to stop the ticking of the clock. until i unpluged the computer and never played the game again...

the knife is in the back seat on the ground. cut the tape on the back seat with knife to get the safe..the code is E40. go to the trunk and use flashlight to see. take knife and break the cracked plastic to recieve the other key
you can only connect the red, blue, grey and green wires to start the car

Wow, i beat it in 4:12 second time, frist time was a sad 24:34. i must say easier then most but still a challange , great pass time, ty to everyone who made it ur password is :)
I escaped in 1:19 no help. I seriously can believe it. But i will give the walkthrough for the game since it isn't posted anywhere else.

Click on the box between the two front seats and open it to get a flashlight.

click on the side of the screen game on the left or right twice to move your view to the back of the car. Pick up with Screw driver.

You will see a white box between the back seat, click on it and you will see a cig. lighter click on it to find a key. Grab the key and click out.

keep looking at the back seat. Look at the white box again but do not click on it. click to the left or right of the box and you should be looking at the floor. Under the right rub you will find a blade.

Look at the back seat again and take the blade to cut the two straps on the seat.

Look back at the front of the car and click on the glove compartment. Take the key to unlock it. grade the batteries and the tape. Click on the batteries then on the flashlight to put one inside the
other. -
Go to the back of the car and click on the top part of the car to look at the ceiling. You will see something that look like it is under the fabric. Take the blade and car it to find a book.

Look at the front of the car again. click under the steering wheel. You should be looking at the gas and break peddles. With the screw driver click on the box under the steering wheel. Now you should be looking at wires. Open the book to see what wires to connect. Connect those and cut take around them.

Click out and go to the back of the car again click on the square on the seat to remove it. Click behind it once removed to look at a control panel. Type in E40, it is the code to unlock the panel. Once unlock you should be in the trunk.

Once in the truck use the flashlight to light up everything. You will see a cracked light on the left, use the blade to
break the light and a key should fall out. -
Take the key to the front of the car, and click on the control panel behind the steering wheel. Insert the key and a light should come on. Click out and now click under the steering wheel like you did in step 8. Click the trunk button, and you should here a unlocking noise.

click back until you are in the trunk again. Now click on the trunk door and you should be free.

Hey, 3:32 first time.....no walkthrough......this game is fairly basic and requires some common sense. I give kudos on the game because it was different from the others and was actually fun to play

Your Worst Nightmare: Either you didn't connect the right wires or you didn't even do that at all. Only the red, gray, green, and blue should be connected.
bob: Red, gray, green, and blue wires should be connected. Nothing more or less. You're not alone, I also despise taping the wires too.
completed it in 23 secs - was browsing the posts for it while it loaded and accidentally found the code for the back seat. oops
nipper = it's only impossible to do under 2 mins if you are THICK!!!
bob = red, grey, green and blue wires must all be connected with the tape as well

The key doen't fit in the egnition! how do i get it to fit?

-Examine the console in the bottom middle of the front seat
-Open the lid and take the flashlight
-Turn around to the back seat
-Examine the console in the bottom middle again
-This time you will see the back of the console, the ashtray
-Pull out the lighter and take the small key underneath
-Return to the back seat
-Click the bottom right or bottom left area of the screen to look at the backseat floor
-Examine the floormat on the right and take the knife from underneath
-Return to the backseat
-Click the ceiling area, above the rear window
-Use the knife to remove the wiring guide from the ceiling
-Go to the front seat
-Examine the glove box and use the small key to open it
-Take the batteries and electrical tape
-Combine the batteries and flashlight
-Return to the backseat
-Use the knife to cut the straps on each side of the cushion
-Click the cushion to set it aside
-Click the small dark gray area behind the cushion
-Enter "E40" on the numberpad (this can be seen from examining the instrument panel in the front seat. The E on the gas gauge is circled, and the speedometer is stuck on 40)
-Use the flashlight with batteries to see
-Break the cracked light cover on the left with either the knife, screwdriver, or hammer
-Take the key that falls on the floor
-Return to the front seat
-Examine the pedals underneath the steering wheel
-Use the screwdriver to open the panel underneath the steering wheel
-Following the wiring guide, only connect the red, blue, green, and gray wires. Use the electrical tape on each connection
-Examine the instrument panel behind the steering wheel
-Use the key in the ignition switch to turn the car's electricity on
-Return to the area with the pedals, and press the trunk release button
-Exit through the trunk
-Air Horn Blows && your done

ok so for everyone who is stuck on the thing about getting the key to work in the ignition and you try to put the key in but it says 'nothing happened' listen up! i got stuck on this too and believe me it was not fun but i managed to figure it out. so this is what you do:
TAPE THE RED, BLUE, GREY, AND GREEN WIRES TOGETHER BUT MAKE SURE YOU CONNECT AND TAPE THE BLUE WIRE BEFORE CONNECTING AND TAPING THE GREY WIRE BECAUSE THE BLUE AND GREY WIRES OVERLAP. :) yep yep
i completed it in 1.12 no walk through ( i've done it 12 times b4 though ) cnt wait 4 ore that kowned
First you go to the back and get the screw driver. Then you click on the floor, then on the right hand rug and get the key. you then go to the white box in the middle of the seats and get the golden key from the cigarrete thingy.
then go to the front of the car again and click on the white box in between the front two seats and get the flashlight.
you then go onto the glovebox, and open it with the golden key. Then take the batteries and tape fro it.
Then go to the steering wheel. Use the screwdriver to undo the metal plate underneath the steering wheel. Once you have undone it you will see various coloured wires. Connect the green, grey, red and blue wires. You can connect wires simply by clicking on them. After you have connected them, use the tape to seal up the gaps.
After you have done that, go to the back seats and use the knife to cut through the tabs connecting the middle seat to the outer seats. Then click on the middle seat and it should come out a bit. Then click on the shadow of the seat and then you will be at a "code bit". The code is E40, and you can work this out by looking at the speedometer which shows an E circled with blood and the mph is 40.
you will then be in the trunk.
Drag the batteries on to the torch (combine them) and then use the torch to light up the trunk. Then use the knife to smash the red shape on the left. A key will fall out. Collect that key.
Then go to the front and click on the instrument panel. The ignition is on the right below the speedometer. Put the key you have just found in there.
Then click beneath the steering wheel and there wil be a yellow 'trunk' button. Click this button to release the trunk. Then go back to the trunk, click on the little white key hole, AND YOU ARE A FREE MAN! or woman!
Oh jeez. I finished in 14:05 on my like, I don't even know how many times I've tried this game. But I finally got it, with help.
I had trouble on the taping the wires together, then inserting the key into the ignition.

Hi, my first try was 00:17:56 because the seatbelt thingies wouldn't cut for me and it took me like 10 minutes just to figure out that all this time I had been using the mini-crowbar!! LOL :)
I started out the series when I stumbled on escape #3. I liked it alot and decided to do number 2 and 1. #3 was the most difficult so the others were pretty easy. I LOOOVE the escape series. Please make more afro-ninja!
okay... i got it... people that are getting stuck on the ignition part. you dont conect the pink white and yellow wires... then click on the trunk button then go to the back of the car then get into the trunk and click the little lock thing on it and BAM your out... i sucked at this game... took like 17 min... fun neways
If you guys really think this game is too easy, play the Dark Room and that whole series. Also Blue Room, Red Chamber.. and if you're brave, the Dark Complex.

Just to give you a heads up if you cant get the wires to tape click the wires with the pointing up bit (looks a bit like a arrow) on the tape.

woah i got like 12:56 or something with help. it took me a long time to finish taping the wires together because it didn't put the tape exactly where i wanted :) oh well i will do better next time
i like this game a lot even though i got really frustrated at some of the parts. if you like this game you should also try escape series: the closet. it is so much fun!
This is a really fun game. At first I couldn't get the key into the ignition, so i retried the game about 3 times until i read the manual then I realized it said that you should
only connect blue,red,gray, and green.
Then I finally got out!

on the panel: the code is E40 where E stands for "Empty" and 40 is the speed displayed
How did you know you had to type E40 in the thing?

E40 is because the fuel is on empty (E) and the speed shows 40km/hr (40)

If the key isn't working to turn the car on, you havent looked at the roof yet.
Go to the back of the car and click on the ceilling or the farthest you can get to the top of the screen.
You will see a spot that buldgin out. Cut it out with your knife. It will tell you that you only need to connect and tape the blue, red, grey and yellow I think. After that your key should work.
Once you have got power look at the front of the car. Yo will se a yellow button at the bottom left of the steering wheel. Press the button and go out the trunk
oh ya beat it in 25 seconds first try !!!!!!! no lie try to beat that suckers !!!!!!!!! cause i know you cant.......burn!!!!:D
