Inspired by Bit Blot's Aquaria, Duncan Fenn brings you underwater, metroidvania goodness in Aqua Boy. Betrayed by your simian companion, you must explore a dangerous, aquatic city in search of your lost equipment so you can find your monkey traitor and make him pay for his actions. A relatively easy title with a hefty map, Aqua Boy will keep you pleasantly occupied.

If you find that your gun stopped working, hit "C". That's the shortcut to change the setup. I found that one out the hard way!

I got max everything, coffee, and got 86 %. Anyone know what else I'm missing? And does new game plus do anything?

Did you find

Lord Kraken's pajamas? Try looking for a small alcove hidden in the room at the start of Act 3.

100% in a single play-through.
I had:

5 Hearts
5-Star Pistol Power
36 Charge Power
Banana Gun
Coffee
Lord Karken's Pajamas
Transport Gem
Shield
Blast Charge (can't remember its actual name)
Hourglass
Key Sphere (another forgotten name)

Finishing with 100% opens up

"New Game +" which starts the whole thing over, but you seem to have everything you ended the last game with... not seeing any otherwise changes yet.

I haven't quite finished but another charming game. Ran a little sluggishly but that can be forgiven in Flash.

My favourite touch was "Aqua Boy, do you read?".

Actually, Newgame+ opens up after any completion, not just 100%. I completed with 77% my first play-through (missed most of the pistol upgrades) and used Newgame+ to get to 100%$.

Pistol upgrades are rather useless, by the way, since they only affect recharge time for the power blasts but even with the maximum upgrade, continuous fire is better than letting the gun recharge.

@ Eytan: It's also increase the fire rate. Not a lot but enough to make the difference

How does one kill the main guy in Act 3? The man in the bubble and the mechanical fish, I can't seem to get rid of them.

To defeat the end boss (Albert the Monkey) you must first get the Blast Charge & Time Stopper & the Key Sphere.
Without that you can not reach the boss battle.

Once you get to the battle zone you won't really need these at all to win.

To defeat the monkey is pretty simple.
When you are in the boss zone cave, move to the lefthand side with the skull image.

The Monkey will rise up on a crystal column in a forcefield sphere. He will drop stalactites (stone triangles) from the ceiling on you and then fire off 3 Grey Aliens to swim at you. Defeat all these and you move on to the easy part.

Next you will have white bubble-moon shapes boil around you, if you keep moving, then it will stop and the Monkey appears in a forcefield bubble. Shooting him will do nothing. Killing off the fish monster which comes in from either side of the cave wall that is nearest you is the wrong move.

Instead, swim to the Monkey, guiding the fish monster to the sphere, once the fish bites the sphere, the Monkey Boss will reappear if you swim near the spot with the stone skull on it. Same routine, which repeats for 3 times. Avoid the falling rocks, blast the swimming Grey Aliens, and then guide the fish monster to bite the Monkey Boss.

Once you win, read the signboards by holding space, collect the golden monster hat, and you will teleport a cave with a signboard telling how much of the game you completed. Swim up to meet the talking dog in a boat on the lagoon and that's the end of the game.
Good Job.
