Games Featured:
- • Deck War
- • Wayward
- • iCycle
- • Sorcery
No tricks in this Mobile Monday. Not a one. Just because it's that April 1st holiday thing doesn't mean we have to participate, right? Because you're awesome. No tricks!
Games Featured:

- • Pixel People
- • Unmechanical
So many new games! It's like, why can't the future be here now? Or, why can't the games I'm bored with be not here while the exciting games I don't have be here? And why can't a normal day at the office be more like a video game?!
Games Featured:
- • 10000000
- • Hiversaires
- • Number Lux
- • Little Things Forever
Geeky times call for geeky games, and this edition of Mobile Monday shows no shortage of said stylings. We've got a gorgeous point and click puzzle game, a math-driven roguelike, and a so-very-retro puzzle hybrid crossing from iOS to Android. We'd love to quote Maximus from that old gem of a film Gladiator about being entertained, but that'd be a bit expected, wouldn't it?
Games Featured:
- • Third Eye Crime
- • Angry Birds HD
- • Virtual Families 2
Time to get some thieving in! And we're not just talking about games that feature thieving. It's also games being given away for free, which is sort of thievery. Not really, but it sounds a little more exciting when you think about it that way.

Games Featured:
- • Plants vs. Zombies
- • MANOS - The Hands of Fate

Chewed -up gum and knobby knees are the dominant mental images one may experience while reading this edition of Mobile Monday. That, and the incessant repetition of Torgo's four second theme song running over and over again, never stopping, just looping. Forever.
Games Featured:
- • Year Walk
- • Sword and Poker
- • Forever Lost
Here's a trend we wouldn't mind seeing proliferate: games releasing alongside reference guides. Sure, you see the word "reference" and automatically think "boring" and sure, it's not a good idea for every game to do this, but in the case of Year Walk, a game based on Swedish folklore, a companion release that features more detailed mythological information is an amazing idea. Now we're almost more exciting about the companion than the game itself!
Games Featured:
- • Beastie Bay
- • VVVVVV
- • Inbetween Land
Tantalizing secrets are before you! What do you do? A: Take the secrets. B: Tantalize the secrets back. C: See if the secrets secrete anything. D: Some of the above. Make your choice by closing your eyes and imagining with all your might!

Games Featured:
- • Kairo
- • Pixel Defenders
- • Stingout
- • Dungelot
Do you ever stare at your iPhone or Android phone and just ask it what the heck it thinks it's doing? Sitting there, sucking power out of the battery, awaiting your commands like some sort of obedient machine. And then, when you're playing a game and suddenly fail, why it made you do that? Because you totally had the skills to pull that jump off, it was your phone's fault you missed it. Your phone's fault...
Games Featured:
- • Orbox B
- • Orbox C
- • Super Hexagon
- • Punch Quest
Who doesn't like a good animal hybrid? Especially that of the impossible type! One day in the distant past, mankind looked at centaurs with a sort of mystified awe. And today we gaze upon the Goaticorn and wonder "Can I get one of those IRL pls?"

- • Dragon Flight
Quick! Think of your favorite mobile game! Now think about it ported to another system! Now pretend the impossible happened and something like Portal was ported to a graphing calculator. How funny would that— oh it totally happened, didn't it? Good for you, science!
Games Featured:
- • Astronaut Spacewalk
- • King Oddball
- • Dr. Stanley's House
It's backwards day on Mobile Monday! Instead of telling you about portable gaming's goings on, we're going to analyze historical examples of decidedly non-portable games. Did you know that Stonehenge is actually a massive in-progress game of tic-tac-toe? Or that the pyramids are the only remaining pieces of a game of chess? Your move, gargantuan space aliens.
Games Featured:
- • Touch Detective
- • Sprinkle 2
- • Mew-Genics
Well, so much for 2012. Did you join the gym like you promised yourself you'd do? Finish that novel you were working on? Paint the house? Be nicer to strangers? Stop watching Jersey Shore reruns? Games Featured:
- • Game of Thrones
- • Kung Fu FIGHT
Hey there. How would you like a mobile game based on Game of Thrones? Well, you might just get it! Or you might not, it all depends on how far off the rumor mill is turning. As long as there's a mini-game centered around dropping dung on Joffrey, we'll consider it a success.
Games Featured:
- • Waking Mars
- • Woodhead
- • illo
Beginning your weekly journey to continued financial/scholastic success, might we suggest you take a peek at what games are currently brewing for your future enjoyment? Or perhaps have already been brewed for your present enjoyment? They've got nothing to do with actual brewing, just space and wooden blocks and stuff, which is better.
Games Featured:
- • Nightmare Runner
- • Clumsy Cat
- • Endless Escape
Hello, and welcome to Monday! How was your weekend? The usual? Yeah, we know that feel, bro/sis. How about a little mobile news to take your mind off the fact that it isn't the weekend anymore? Escape games? Running games? Yes? Yes!

Games Featured:
- • Don't Look Back
- • Granny Smith
- • Star Command
Here's something to mull over as your workweek begins: Don't Look Back, a free mobile release from Terry Cavanagh, does exactly what its name forbids by being a port of a 2009 browser game. Granny Smith is both a granny and a member of the Smith family, whereas Star Command actually lets you command stars—wait, it's a starship commanding game? Oh. Well. Then. Nevermind!
Games Featured:
- • Angry Birds
- • Chaos Rings
Courtroom news? How dare we include something as boring as legal stuff! Don't worry, though, because it's happy law news, not sleep-inducing law jargon. And it'll make you happy, too!
Games Featured:
- • Noby Noby Boy
- • Devil's Attorney
- • Sonic Jump
What? Sad news on a Mobile Monday? Sad indeed, fellow gamers. But not without a couple of shots of happy, too. In fact, we'll even argue that the happiness outweighs the sadness, with respective scores of 1.64 and 1.47 as measured on the Jack McBrayer Smile Scale!
Games Featured:
- • Jetpack Joyride
- • Oceanhorn
- • Scorcery!
Anybody up for some mobile teasing? A fresh batch of news for a fresh week (and month!), just enough details to get you excited for the future but not so much that you'll feel like you know it all. It's a delicate balance to taunt the internet reader, isn't it?
Games Featured:
- • Pocket Planes
- • Dark Nebula
- • Super Hexagon
- • QuestLord
It's an Android love party! As the free Google-made mobile OS turns four years old, several novel casual games make their way to the Google Play store, including one of our all-time favorites, Pocket Planes! And since the green robot is doing so well, developers are working to release even more ports and original games, ensuring you'll never use your phone for phone calls (whatever those are).
Games Featured:
- • Field Runners 2 HD
- • DOOORS
- • The Tiny Bang Story
HD this and updated that! Back in my day, we had to play the game as it was released and like it. Game-crashing bug? Deal with it. And we did. Why, sometimes we had to reprogram our own games while we were playing them. And did I mention we didn't have hands then, either? It's true...
Games Featured:
- • Bad Piggies
- • King of Dragon Pass
- • Year Walk
- • Nightmares from the Deep: The Cursed Heart
According to this week's Mobile Monday, horses wear tuxedos, pigs are sinister, and pirates are a thing of nightmares. Unless you live your life by the Everything I Know I Learned from Video Games motto, your world probably isn't affected by this too much. Now, go back to stacking blocks in neat patterns. Just, you know, don't put them in groups of three or more...
Games Featured:
- • Bastion
- • Puzzlejuice
- • Splice
- • Quiet, Please!
It's a week of ports, puzzles and... ok, there's no "p" word for updates, so we'll just have to say "updates" and be done with it. Developers are taking note of the popularity of mobile devices and have adjusted marketing plans to suit, releasing updated ports of downloadable games for our lovely iOS and Android machines. Welcome to the wooooorld of tomorrow!
Games Featured:
- • Angry Birds Space
- • Final Fantasy Dimensions
- • Eufloria
Well, we now have a 1.17 million pound machine roaming around the surface of Mars. What better way to celebrate than with a new Angry Birds update? Ok, so there are better ways of celebrating, but since half the planet is already playing the game, might as well remind them what's going on in the outside world (er, galaxy), right?
Games Featured:
- • Bag It!
- • Gasketball
- • Mega Man Xover
Ok, ok, let's get this out in the open right now. There's a new Mega Man game coming to iOS. It's not what you think by a longshot, but its name is just... well it's atrocious. It has to be explained in order to be pronounced correctly, which is a mistake a marketing expert should have pointed out. We're looking at you, Fage yogurt company.
Games Featured:
- • Minecraft: Pocket Edition
- • Dynamite Jack
- • Edge
- • Fez
- • Another World
- • R-Type
More Minecraft is never a bad thing. With the main version receiving some nice updates in a recent rollout, the pocket version also gets its share of the updating fun. So, how's your summer going? If it's not summer where you live, we're coming over for a few weeks. Whatever it takes to get away from this heat. As a rule, any environmental temperature higher than that of our internal body temperature is a bad idea. So far, we've been hanging out playing mobile games with a fan blowing in our faces. So, seriously, we're coming over.
Games Featured:
- • Cthulhu Saves the World
- • Frozen Synapse

Cthulhu saves the what now? Something about a penny arcade? Er, well, yeah, close enough. Lots of strategy and RPG news in this edition of Mobile Monday. Games Featured:
- • Pizza vs. Skeletons
- • Infinity Blade II
- • LostWinds
- • The Journey Down
One of the big controversies surrounding mobile games these days is social media integration. On the one hand, it allows people to share games with friends while helping to promote them, but on the other, we're perfectly capable of telling our pals about good games on our own! One of the games below took a step in the social media direction, and while it certainly added value to the existing experience, it also stirred a bit of controversy amongst its fans.
Games Featured:
- • Angry Birds Space
