Zoom QuiltThe Zoom Quilt is the collaborative art project of 15 talented artists, all contributing to a final media presentation that is both beautiful and mesmerizing. The piece is available in 3 different media formats: HTML via a series of static jpeg images; AVI compressed video; or the best format, a Shockwave interactive movie. Use the up and down arrows to move forward and backward through the work of art. Click.

The first such "zoom" art work I saw on the Web was this rather simple Flash piece called Swirl. Click.

And then there is the Poloroid photo project by Mark-Steffen Göwecke, which is a rather creative "zoom" concept itself. Click.

During my travels, I also stumbled upon this site for Web design company SoFake.com, which incorporates a wonderful "zoom" piece into the navigation of their Flash site. Click.

WOW.

Damn you Jay, I'm in the middle of giving a practicum and I checked this out; my jaw literally dropped and I probably looked like an idiot to the person who just asked me a question.

This is simply amazing... No words for it, it just is. :-)

OMG!!! ya gotta see this. Its like this becomes the only important thing in your life. Salute to the artists....BRAVO!!!

Alex

ps...WWWWOOOOOOOAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!

The mini review for Zoom II says there is nudity, but I see none? Or perhaps my eyes are immediately drawn to the horror rather than the supposed obscenity?
