The main changes and new principles of leveling up and hunting in the Season of Discovery in World of Warcraft Classic
When the development of the main version of World of Warcraft went far from its origins and the most popular updates, a gradual outflow of players began who were accustomed and love to play hardcore versions, and not just constantly develop.
Old versions were more aimed at group leveling and careful accumulation of resources, when quality was more important than leveling speed, as is the case in the main version, which is currently called Dragonflight.
In order not only to attract new players to their servers, but also to bring back old ones and retain them, the classic version was launched.
Now, at the end of the year, developers from Blizzard have launched a seasonal update for World of Warcraft called Season of Discovery.
This is dividing new additions into seasons to give players motivation to develop and at the same time guarantee them the constant development of the project, which will stop for a certain period of several months and then continue.
The first stage will last until level 25 and will continue for two months, during which players must reach the finals, try new raids and formats, find runes and finally just follow the quest and grind system, or simply order a Season of Discovery boost to get to the final stage of development and stop until a new stage of project development, or simply pay more attention to the PVP system.
New runes
Now every player, regardless of his faction, race and profession, will have a chance to knock out new, unique runes from any monster, which will have a level comparable to the stage of development of the character and monsters being hunted.
This is a new mechanic for a unique skill that will become available as soon as you receive it and install it in a weapon or armor in a special socket.
Each hero will receive their own special bonus, regardless of the rate of boosting in SoD.
A mage who specializes in combat procasts can now gain a unique skill that will allow him to restore health to himself or an ally using the power of arcane magic.
A warlock who relies on a large number of negative effects that gain strength depending on their number can now receive a skill that will allow him to use summoned creatures and demons as battle tanks that can hold opponents for a certain time and apply the effect to them to provocations, which will add more chances for survival in difficult raids when the main tank dies, or add new scenarios for selecting a group in such an extreme and experimental way.
This is just a small example of new experiments and formats for using most classes, which were revised by the developers from Blizzard to intensify the leveling in SoD within the seasons and simply revive the gameplay in World of Warcraft Classic.
New PVP zones
For all players who have reached the maximum level 25 and are waiting for the release of the new season to continue developing the hero and boosting in Season of Discovery, they can fully engage in PVP battles, especially since in World of Warcraft enemies are literally everywhere.
You will be able to take part in team fights, which will take place in the battle format, with capturing points and holding them to gain an advantage and determine the winner.
For participants in battles, this will be an excellent opportunity to get medals of valor - special items that allow you to accumulate them and use them to purchase special items that have bonuses in PVP and increased attack in battles against other players.
Otherwise, you will always have the opportunity to find opponents in adjacent locations, especially for high levels, to which the maximum number of players reach, and they have to share monsters to gain experience, or rather fight for them and a variable reward.
Complete quests
Players who want to ensure stable leveling in the Season of Discovery must complete tasks and assignments from NPCs who issue story and side quests.
Story missions are assignments that fully reveal the overall story of the narrative and the main reasons for the events and general enmity between the Horde and the Alliance, whose side of the conflict you choose at the start.
Such tasks are the most profitable and useful for all classes, especially for supports, which have little damage, but due to fixed requirements and a high increase in experience, they are ideal for them, because despite the time spent, you will still complete the tasks and receive a reward and boost in SoD.
Secondary quests are tasks of varying difficulty that have different rewards and can be useful in leveling up any characters, regardless of their complexity and duration.
It is best to choose those tasks that bring experience for the number of monsters, gold, or valuable resources and items.
Such quests can be combined with the main story tasks if they are completed in the same location.
You can supplement the boost in Season of Discovery by grinding, especially if there are a lot of profitable monsters in these locations.
Grind
The format of leveling up by simply destroying monsters that suit your level.
It's easy to understand - you need to attack enemies who are 3 or more levels higher than you, but no more than 8, because then a penalty is imposed on experience and drops and such a hunt makes no sense and is mortally dangerous.
It is ideal if you can quickly kill monsters one by one, or gather them in a group and destroy them with mass skills. If you do not have the skills and capabilities to do this quickly and independently - for example, you are a healer or buffer, then simply find or gather a battle group and start group grinding, which, although it divides experience and gold among everyone, but at the expense of the speed of killing monsters - it will be much faster than alone.
The rest of the classes simply attack monsters and can combine grind and quests to quickly progress in levels and receive various rewards, including SoD leveling, gold and various items for professions and classes, if you are lucky. This is a sustainable approach to get to level 25.
