Crash TV is a high-difficulty platformer whose protagonist is a strangely limber TV set. The goal is to connect to a big computer somewhere beyond a series of dangerous rooms. To achieve this, our little TV has to jump, grapple and sneak its way through holes, spikes and lasers.
You thought they'd had their fill of cupcakes, but Z3lf's blue and purple bunnies are back for more puzzling goodness in Mushbits 2. More of a level pack than a true sequel, this game offers the same puzzle elements of the first with the addition of a few abilities. Oh, and giant, ground-shaking cats in the background. If you enjoy wracking your brain to the tune of cute graphics, get the bunnies their sugar-high in the fewest moves possible to earn your stars toward puzzling greatness.
It's hard to figure out what just happened. You took a walk in the park, like you do every night. This time though, there was a man... there was a gun. Now you find yourself a dark industrial world of shadowy figures and shifting backgrounds. You'll have to rearrange every single room to have even a chance of escaping... and you just know that time's running out. Five is a puzzle platformer from Z3LF where changing reality comes with the click of the mouse.
Robots Can't Think, Z3lf's newest puzzle platformer, has you controlling a robot through a set of challenges. You can pick up, drop or throw blocks; climb along walls and ceilings and, most importantly, warp through space and time. When you die, the system will attempt to 'rewind' to a previous safe position, but to help prevent death, you can scan the level with a click of the mouse. Robots Can't Think is a challenge, so don't be surprised if you find yourself creating a pile of scrap metal, but it's worth it.
Despite its shortcomings, Duplicator provides some challenging puzzles and an hour or more of ambient diversion. The appealing presentation combined with fluid platforming override the difficulties of the game, and the puzzles will get you thinking and may even test your patience.
