What do a rocket scientist, brain surgeon, and nuclear physicist have in common? You don't have to be any of these to play Castle Tales. Though, an elemental understanding of Newtonian mechanics will certainly help you beat the more than 60 levels in this cute physics puzzle game from Rigolab.
In each stage, you click on haystacks, green-shrubs, and other obstacles to let the physics of the game guide your prince and princess toward the purple portal, dodging pink dinosaurs, sharp tacks, and gravity itself along the way. The mechanics of the game are simple, but the upbeat graphics and smooth physics make for a relaxing ride.
Castle Tales is not a hard game with a capital "H," but it does have its own set of increasingly challenging scenarios that will have you clicking the retry button more than once. But they are almost never frustrating and usually give way to a light chuckle as the solution dawns on you. Life is hard sometimes, who said our entertainment had to be, too?
Cute graphics, but very mumsy
A touch too much treacle with no difficulty is my personal opinion. A bit of SOME problem solving at all would have been good, but I guess okay for a cup of coffee )
Indeed, very cute.
I think that the pink creatures are DRAGONS, given this is called Castle Tales.
Going to give it a play-through, but I doubt there will be any replay value.
Really a nice game to play. Each levels are not much difficult to complete with little puzzles but i got stuck at level 63 for a while.Ending was little difficult.
Cute and relaxing, yet, as others pointed out, lacking challenge, About the only challenging levels are the ones that require precise timing. Simple and rich concept, though, maybe they should launch a design challenge.
