A follow-up to the 2008 hit Escape the Museum, Gogii Games' Adventure Chronicles: The Search for Lost Treasure continues to bend the hidden object/adventure barrier with a captivating game of inventory puzzles and interactive scenery. You play Dr. Susan Anderson, an archaeologist who receives a treasure hunter's journal and embarks on quests to find new pieces for her museum. The slick visuals paired with an impeccable presentation and strong puzzle design make it a solid entry in the cross-genre adventure wars.
As with most hidden object games, you immediately find yourself facing a crowded room packed full of items from A to Z. A list on the right side of the screen shows you what needs to be found, but Adventure Chronicles: The Search for Lost Treasure doesn't let you off with simple pointing and clicking. A good number of hotspots can be found in each scene, each one requiring a special action to complete the mini-puzzle contained within. These often open new areas to explore or uncover hidden items you've been tearing your hair out to find.
Two sub-menus include Tools and Items screens that hold important objects you find while working your way down the list. Many of these items will be used to find other items, such as using a hammer to smash pots and vases (and randomly hitting objects just for the fun of it) to uncover new clues.
Fortunately, you're never confined to just one scene and can travel to and from a number of areas via mini-map. Items and tools you find often carry over between stages, opening up the world of backtracking to make solving puzzles all the more interesting.
Analysis: Visually pleasing and with a good soundtrack to match, Adventure Chronicles: The Search for Lost Treasure retains the high production values of its predecessor while treading new ground with its inventory-based puzzle-centric approach to gameplay. It's a good balance of hidden object gameplay and good old fashioned adventuring.
The experience is a bit brief, weighing in at five areas each consisting of a handful of scenes to explore. Shorter than your average hidden object or adventure game, but it doesn't come across as too abrupt. And one thing I just can't get over is the heavy use of choppy artwork in the cutscenes, made worse by the game's tendency to zoom in on these pieces.
Adventure Chronicles: The Search for Lost Treasure sticks to its guns and provides an intriguing adventure without any amount of fluff. No mini-games to contend with, a story that's fun but that doesn't take itself too seriously, and puzzles that are just too interesting not to solve. The little "active" touches like smashing pots with a hammer and dusting off shelves liven up the game considerably, lightening the mood just when you're in too deep. It's an excellent casual adventure/hidden object cross that just about anyone will enjoy.

I broke the flower pot on the table in Grant's Home, but it was empty. No shotgun shell! Has anyone else had this problem?

Enlarge the portrait of the couple on the wall. Take note of the position of the weights in the clock in the picture and apply it to the clock in the room.
Anybody help me with the end of the civil war section? I've got the hex key in the clock but "1812" isn't helping me figure out how to position the hands.

1812 is 6:12 on the clock. It's military time 18:00 hours is the same as 6pm.
In Blackbeard's Cove how do I get the coin from the cannon. I have the cannonball stuffer but it won't do anything. Thanks.
Stuck in lost tomb cannot do puzzle compass on floor got tiles onto wall ok tried the symbols on wall that correspond to compass but to no avail

After you did the tiles at the wall, a red gem appeared right above the scepter of the sacophagus
Pick it up and click it in the left upper corner, above the end of the read beam, that comes from the left statue
Now you see, that three of the stone tiles are highlighted in green
Remind the symbols and get the gem back
Place the gem now into the free spot of the lock at the sarcophagus
Turn the lock dial now, so that you see in the on the top of the lock the three symbols, which have been highlighted in green before

Use the cannonball stuffer to pick up the chewing gum from the left side of Blackbeard's head (the pink patch)- Now use the stuffer with the gum to get the coin out of the cannonball

Take skull out of cabinet then what?
Skull returns itself to cabinet, what do you you with the artifacts

Burn the newspaper in the lower right corner. You will find a key
Get the big stone wheel from the wall behind the glass closet
With the key, you open the glass closet. Take out the skull. Its connected to a security system, so you need a object of same weight
Get fast the stone wheel out of the inventory and place it on the the place, the skull was before
All the other artefacts you can take back, they are not needed
Use the brush below the letters EXPO and you will find the horseshoe, when its needed for your list

stuck in the Mayan calendar, please help

After you found the six pieces of the mayan calendar, click one of the pieces onto the calendar
It looks like you found the right place for it at once, but its not like this
Click it and hold left mousebutton then to drag it to the left
Do that, till the piece is highlighted white for a moment and then really does not move anymore
Now get the next piece and do it again
Go on, till all pieces are at the right place
There is no way to place a piece at the right place with the first click

Wait a moment and you will get the answer

This means the middle book shelf with the D on top, the upper shelf, 5th book seen from left
Get the book and place it on the reading table. You can change pages by clicking, till you found Paris
Use the scissoirs, located right between reading table and chair, to cut off the the Paris - page

To open Pharaohs tomb, place the blue gemstone into the area with the red light coming from the ceiling and it will show you the code for opening the Pharaohs tomb

You have to place the tables from the mouthes in the niche between them.

The box cutter is down at the screen - Seen from left to right, you first have a stone, you can smash with the hammer, then bushes, you can burn with the lighter - and then the boxcutter is laying there. Its silver with red.

Do you mean the box cutter in Mayan Dig? If so,
slice open the vessel in the bottom right-hand corner of the dig.
I am at the Mayan Dig. Have found the boxcutter. I don't see anything that looks like a vessel in the lower right hand corner. I see gloves and a flashlight. Thanks

I'm in Mayan temple. I have the head on the statue, but I don't know what to do next. I've tried pushing the stones in many combinations. I can't figure out what the compass on the floor means. I've tried rotating the head. Help.
I'm stuck...Where do I find the Map of paris, and the book of maps. I've been clicking on every book, and nonthing so far. (Tried for three days).
The tomb with the compass! i was stuck on this one for a while. u need to turn the head to face the wall with the doors and press the bottom left button, then keep turnin the head as u press different buttons, if u have pressed the button in the right sequence it will sparkle, if not the bottom left button will come back out and you will start again. hope this helps anyone who gets stuck on this level :D

The clue is
You have hold the left mouse button pressed to move the part. If you do so, it wont be moving as soon as it comes to the right place (you will see a white highlight also for a moment). You have to do this with all parts like this, also with the last part. None will go on the right spot at once, even if you try to click it there

Hey, so far I'm not stuck but I haven't been able to find the geocache in the Mayan souvenir shop. I have clicked on what I'm fairly sure it is but nothing. Any ideas?
I'm in Lost City of Petra and all I have left to find is the egypt map bit, and all I have left in items is broken sword, but I cannot seem to figure out where it goes.

Help - how do I get the Brooklyn map for the Civil War Treasure? I have all items but that one.
I'm so stuck and getting irritated. Went through the first three steps like a breeze. I got to the reserve and found everything except the blueprint. Went to the house found everything including the safe deposit key. Went back to the reserve and I've been trying to open the safe deposit box door for like 2 hours. Every time I click on the front of it a message comes up that says "Whatever Uylsses S. Grant must be hiding in this locked safety deposit box". I have the key. I'm so confused. Why it won't open?
Is there something I need to do at the Mural Puzzle? I've put it together and now seem to be stuck there. Any help would be appreciated.

More frustrating than fun. This game needs a hint button. I just finished everything in the empire state building, except finding a nut. Still can't find it. Got the item finder and, for the life if me, can't figure out how/if it works. Right now I give this game 2 thumbs down.

I'm stuck at the NYC docks. I've found everything on the first list. I've found the geocache. I've broken the crates to get the pears and oil can. I have the keys and the knife. I started up the boat with the keys. I cut the first rope with the knife. Now I can't cut the second rope. If I try, it says there are still actions that i need to complete before leaving. The only action I can figure is to cut that last rope. Why won't it let me do that?

Hi. I am at the beginning of the game. I am in the Federal Reserve. Done all except one thing : Right Triangle. It appears in normal print when the door is closed but when I open the door, it appears as Blue. That means I have to do something to solve it. But what? No hint available at all. Please HELP!

This is about, Adventure Chronicles: The Search for Lost Treasure...I am in the library part and cannot input map book with a space between in nor paris map with a space either. As soon as I hit the space bar the game goes into search mode, thus I must type only Mapbook Or Parismap . And both of those fail, leaving me unable to achieve getting the book in d-12-5 and moving forward! :(, My name is Monica. I am a terminal medical patient, and going to talk to my surgeon on November 28th,2012. They say I am very much not likely to survive that surgery. Yet I believe I will be getting many miracles and be fully healed. Either way please could you , if you have the time, help me please with this issue? I very much like this game. I am stuck in library trying to complete the last task of map book/Paris, I have read and tried the spoiersbut cannot seem to get it. When trying to do search on computer screen it does not search it let me typeon search line but does nothing, I tried just going to d-12-5 and still get nothing. I am playing on a kindle but when I selected this came amazon did show it as compatible. I even tried starting completely over with new profile and when I reached the library same result. Please help if you have any other advise. :-)
