Snoring Before TimeIn the jungle, the mighty jungle, the elephant sleeps tonight... And that's kind of a problem, because he snores. Bad. Help his animal friends wake him up in this cartoony-cute physics puzzler! Each animal friend has its own ability, be it changing shape, rolling fast, or bouncing along. Set them up like a Rube Goldberg machine and snap that elephant out of his snooze!

ZebulonCrafted in the style of classic 'choose your own adventure' games, Zebulon features the exploits of a somewhat wayward space crew. The story itself is relatively simple; you're the captain of a small ship that runs regular courier missions for Asmico, a delivery and service IT company. With you are your shipwright and communication officer; your shipright Hariett is a straight-laced, by-the-book stick in the mud while Reynolds, the communication officer, is unlikely to win 'Employee of the month' anytime soon. Your choices in your interactions with them, and certain events, will determine your outcome.

Find the Escape-Men 49: In a HutThere's nothing unfamiliar about the setup of Find the Escape-Men 49: In a Hut. Since this is a Find the Escape-Men game, you have to find 10 green men before you can pull off your great escape. However, it shouldn't take long to realize that something is a little... off... about our protagonist. I feel we could feature more work from No1Game, since what they do, they do well. Their puzzles are original and logical yet not too frustrating, there's no tear-your-hair-out pixel-hunting, and there's just the right amount of whimsy holding it all together.

Button Escape 24There are eleven buttons you need to find and click in order to escape from this challenge by Tototo Room, but first you need to get in touch with nature to solve the puzzles in your way...

Pirateers 2What do you do with an action-adventure pirate game sequel? Well, if it's Labu Games' Pirateers 2, you should play it, whether it's ear-ly in the morning or not! An upgraded sequel that improves on the original in every area, Pirateers 2 is a rollicking sea excursion, only slightly marred by unsubtle developer funding requests.

Monsterland 4: One More JuniorThose kids. There's just never enough attention, positive, negative or whatnot, to please them. Quality time is perhaps overrated, at least as far as monster dad is concerned. He only wants to sleep. Which just means more fun for Junior and Jenny as they find ways to wake him from his nap in yet another installment of Alma Games' nap-busting physics puzzle. 36 more levels, including bonus levels plus plenty of achievements, are just the right level of chill and thinky to keep you alert and engaged throughout.

A Dark RoomA Dark Room will run quietly by itself in a tab in your browser with only minimal interaction at first. There's just you, the dark, dwindling wood, and a fire to stoke. With gameplay that will remind you of Candy Box! but a decidedly creepier, more intriguing bent to go with simulation and adventure, A Dark Room is well worth checking out.

Avant-GardeCurrently in playable alpha version, Avant-Garde is a narrative simulation/RPG where you play a burgeoning artist in the Paris art scene of the 19th century. Create your own artwork to sell or display in Le Salon, rub elbows with famed artists such as Manet, Monet, Picasso and Dali, and learn more about art history as you participate in impressionism, surrealism or even create your own art movements. While still incomplete, there is already much here to satisfy both the gamer and artist in you.

Kingdom of Liars 2Kingdom of Liars is the second in the series of dark fantasy point-and-click adventures and the plot is only getting thicker in the city of Ashbane. Kingdom of Liars 2 features what Hyptosis is best known for: world-building, colorful characters, humorous descriptions, intriguing twists... and smacking players with a "To Be Continued" just as things are getting good. For a short trip, though, it's an excellent one.

The OnomasticaWant a word game? Want a SWANKY word game? Then check out the short but stylish title from mif2000 that sends you running through a world of words you can combine to change the landscape and their meaning!

RobbyRobby wants to rob a bank, but things don't go so well when the police show up. As the officer counts down from ten, it's up to you to find out a (probably weird) solution that doesn't end with our hero dead or in jail in this wonderfully silly point-and-click puzzle game made in just 48 hours.

Escape from Jay Is GamesHere it is, dear JayIsGames community, fan fiction made by the creator for you. As resoundingly requested, Mateusz Skutnik's remarkably immersive artwork, full of atmosphere and imagination, rendered into an escape-the-room game that's accessible to all. Take your time in the strange-yet-beautifully surreal scene; you may be out before you're ready to go but it's no less enjoyable while it lasts.

Alice is Dead: Episode OneThe first in a creepy new point-and-click series set in a Wonderland a few degrees off from the one you may recall. A gruesome sight greets you when you open your eyes in this fractured fairytale... but just who are you, anyway? To find out, first you'll have to find your way out and dig a little deeper into the mystery. Provided you're prepared for what you may discover on the other side of the looking glass.

Fruits! Fruits! Fruits!Maybe you do need to be a little bit fruity to love escape-the-room games, but suzumeDr proves once again the satisfaction of being locked in a room with only your wits to free yourself. Tending to be more easy than some of this author's earlier works, this escape presents a handful of logic-based puzzles where the biggest challenge is uncovering the clues and putting them to work in the right place.

The Value of TimeIf there's one thing Ludum Dare 27 has taught us, it's that you can do a lot in ten seconds. The Value of Time, however, is all about what you can't do in that time. At least, not all by yourself. Can you click the End button in ten seconds? Not without help, you can't. Good thing you can cooperate with yourself. Infernet89 has created a simple, deep puzzle game that packs a lot into a seemingly small package.

Idle VillageA little city-building simulation with your incremental gaming? Build a 3D village from the ground up, from potatoes to rugmaking to jewelry in this new offering from Supercluster. All this and more, from a title still very actively being developed, has put Idle Village firmly on the map.

Room ΓHere is a full scale escape-the-room adventure made (near) perfect by Kotorinosu's skillful design. Inexplicably locked inside these space age surroundings, with no narrative or changing cursor to guide you, you're left to your observational skills and ability to make connections between clues, using objects (repeatedly) to break through multiple locks until you are free. It's lengthy enough and challenging enough to hold you captive for most the afternoon, both in frustration and delight.

In3structoTank!Who doesn't love blowing things up? Nobody, that's who. Why, you probably love blowing things up so much, you'd do it by hurling yourself bodily at other people if you could. Well, now you can, in the third installment of everyone's favourite arcade action series featuring an indestructible tank. Chain combos when you use explosions to propel yourself into the air and slamming into other enemies, playing in different game modes against new challenges and bosses.

Ninja Miner 2Gather round, people, and witness the all new adventures of the world's only ninja miner! His incredible skills allow him to run faster than lightning, collecting gems and stars on his way. Now, in Ninja Miner 2, he will also slay nefarious creatures with his trusty blade and perform fantastic underwater stunts in thirty-two amazing new levels!

Transmorpher 2Transmorpher 2 is a great action-puzzle platformer hybrid in which you control four aliens, each with different abilities. Quantum SpectreEdGE and GameGurus serve up a familiar but polished puzzle concept in this game of lasers and mirrors. Using limited moves and a variety of lenses, direct light to power specific nodes. Sounds easy, right? Well, throw in mixing colours, obstacles, different mirror types and more and you have a slow progression of challenge that's great to cut your teeth on.

Heroes of SokobanA warrior, a thief, and a wizard walk into a bar. The warrior pushed his way through the door, while the thief pulled the door open, and the wizard somehow switched places with the door. (The wizard's a bit weird.) In Heroes of Sokoban by Jonah Ostroff, you've got to control all three adventurers and their quirky personalities to navigate Sokoban-style puzzles. While you're at it, check out PuzzleScript, the new puzzle game engine developed by Stephen Lavelle that can help you make your own games!

The Last Door: Chapter 2Continuing where the first chapter in this eerie point-and-click horror adventure left off, our hero finds himself plagued by disturbing dreams and driven to seek answers at a secluded church that seems to offer more secrets than sanctuary.

Find the Escape-Men 58: in the StudioHow can you win the woman of your dreams? Well, if you're a painter, it's by buckling down and creating a masterpiece in your studio... right after you track down all the little green men hiding throughout the place, of course. Another short, simple, and sweet escape from no1game!

Killer Escape 3After the events of the first two games, you thought you'd finally escaped the crazed killers after you, but things are only going to get stranger in this latest chapter in Psionic Games' bizarre and entertaining point-and-click horror escape series!

Double JeuWant a very quick diversion? Try Double Jeu. It's in French. The two words you needs are: jouer (means play) and rejouer (means play again). This is a very, very simple game. Your aim is to keep playing as long as possible. It may drive you round the bend.

Mirror's Edge 2DBrad Borne has combined the ludicrous physics of his own Fancy Pants Adventure with the stylized world of Mirror's Edge to produce a joyful ode to parkour and platforming. Though you'll have to slow down if you want to collect every messenger bag and trinket, the real heart of the game is in running full tilt. The game world feels chunky and reliable, perfect for wall-jumping and launching yourself off of ramps with legs pinwheeling.

You know, it's tough being a casual-gaming pathfinder, heading deep into the archives to bring back quality games of all genres from whatever godforsaken rock they're hiding beneath. Fortunately, there are quite a few that have taught me the ways and means of exploration, and this week we're featuring them in the JayIsGames Vault!

No, Birdie, No!When you're dangling by your fingertips off the edge of a cliff, what you really want is for someone to come and help you up. Instead, fate hands you a stupid little bird that tries to peck your fingers off the edge. No, Birdie, No! is a quick skill game of reflexes and dexterity where you've got to hold on to the cliff, but lift your fingers before the menacing canary pecks at them. How long can you hang on?

Twizz'ed FirefartaHarness the power of your butt!... stop looking at me like that. Gameshot delivers a silly yet endearingly quirky little puzzle platformer where you must navigate hazards such as spikes and elephants using only the power of flatulence.

Link Dump Friday №340
Games Featured:
  • • Social Dysphoria The Game
  • • Bird of Prey
  • • Mond Cards
  • • Medieval Rampage 3
Social awareness as a shooter, the majesty of nature as devouring helpless woodland critters, a battle for your soul against a guy with no eyes and an alien in a thong, and bow-based arena shooting with a jaunty feathered cap. No, it's not the weirdest round of Whose Line is it Anyway?, it's Link Dump Friday!

Escape from the Similar Rooms 3The same ol' same ol' is exactly what you want when you're in the mood for light, casual puzzles in a minimalist setting. Hottategoya follows up the similar rooms series by stepping up the navigational obstacles which test your powers of observation. Solve three codes, open three doors and, quicker than you can say dèjá vu, you'll have that same great feeling that comes from a successful escape.

Super Mario Bros. Crossover 3.0Now in its third major release, this platformer allows you to play as everyone from better-than-Boba-Fett bounty huntress Samus Aran to Mega Man 10's Bass, all with their iconic abilities intact, tearing up the classic Super Mario Bros. levels you know and love. Dismissing this as just a simple knock-off is doing it a disservice, and this latest update cements its position as one of the crown jewels in the fan creation crown.
