Also from the Sony Pictures website, this Flash game was created to promote one of this summer's movie releases: The Cave.
Featuring sights and sounds from the movie, the game did a good job of scaring the living daylights out of me. While at first it looks to be an innocent point-and-click adventure, a game with a more ambitious goal seems to take over. Soon you'll be climbing the walls looking for an escape route—or the back button. Just don't play alone in the dark like I did. Click.

I only played for a few minutes (mostly because I'm crappy at point-n-click adventure games), but also partly because that guy's body lying all crumpled freaked me out a bit......

what? thats it? no evil zombies? no deadly water cretures? this game kinda stinked, theres nothing scarey about it. it really disappointed me, i needed a good scare..

Not to put too fine a point on it, that sucked. There was no thinking or challenge involved. Anyone who can't find the equipment when you basically have to follow a big red dotted line to a yellow cross...well, you must be the target audience of the movie, that's all I can say. Once I figured out the bats and scorpions don't actually hurt you, and the dead guys were apparently carrying an infinite number of batteries to go along with your infinite ammo, I kind of wondered what the point was. The only part that interested me was what would lie beyond the lake, but guess what? It turned out to be the land of cheap movie trailers and lame endings! This game is just an excuse for an advert.

I'm not one to enjoy blatant advertising much, though you have to expect that going into a game like this. Take it for what it is, then move on. =)
And I agree I may have got this one wrong, so, sorry for that. It did seem very creepy to me when I found it and played late at night with the lights out. So much so that I could not finish it.
