If you haven't already heard, Gmail is one-year-old today. And to celebrate the event, Google has increased everyone's storage capacity to 2GB, and plans to continue to increase the storage limit as they are able. Also implemented today is rich text formatting, allowing users to change fonts, colors, sizes and alignment, and to include other word processing formatting features in their email messages.
For me, it's all about being able to search through all of my emails in an instant for that piece of information I saved months ago; and the spam filtering that learns what I don't want to see in my in-box each day, automatically routing it to its own folder.
Yes, I love my Gmail. And you can too. If you don't already have an account, hit me up for an invitation.
Did I mention they have a great sense of humor? =)

Hi Jay!
Any chance you could invite me into the glossy and elusive world of gmail? I'm wondering what all the fuss is about... and still using yahoo as my mail server, all my @vibration13.com and @gravity-design.co.uk extensions are routed through to there... It would make my day to get a nice new gmail account to put abit of order into my affairs, I'm getting helluvalota spam because I stupidly put my address on everything I post. Look, I've just done it again! Doh.

Listen to my sad story of woe; I got a random email saying I get a gmail account, but the link didn't work, and after an hour of trying to get it to work, I had to give up and delete it. No gmail for me. Jay, as you are being so generous, perhaps you could invite me as well? :)

Wow... after this wild, frenzied journey all over the internet looking for g-mail, I have finally arrived. I guess all those night school Computer Science courses at harvard finally paid off. Pretty please send me an invite? My cheap university is cutting off my account and this is my only hope at bucking free email forevermore.
