I just wanted to say that i found a NEW WAY TO SOLVE THE RED ROCK MYSTERY
I had one of my tribespeople acheive the rank of legendary scientist (she opened a crate and it made her science stat go all the way up) then i used stardust on her to get her rock gathering stat up then after awhile she opened another crate that maxed out her rock gathering skills. then go to the rock and it will be solved
hope this helps!
To Em:
If it still does the same thing after rebooting the game and your computer, I would suggest going back to the site where you originally purchased the game and download it again.
To Divagirl118:
There's not a quick or easy way to get science points. Putting Stadust or Moondust on the science lab will help. Other than that, just put as many people on the lab as you can and leave the game for awhile.
To grammajoe:
I noticed the same thing. However, even though you can't seem to drop more than one person on the ark at a time, if you have others set to construction as their preference, they will go to the ark on their own. It also helps to close the game for awhile on the larger buildings. Construction time speeds up when the game is closed.
When preparing to move to a different island, you do not have to build the ark. All you have to do is place the ark on the map and demolish it. This allows you to immediately start building the boat without having the ark and saving a lot of time!
[Edit: The ark is the boat. What you refer to is the shipyard. -Pam]

Please check question #15 in the FAQ at the top of this page.
To CMill:
I've added a screenshot of the completed Flower Tree puzzle to the walkthrough at the top of this page. If you've placed the right color of flowers and they've all be planted, the object should be solved. You'll see a new color of flower available for planting on the build screen.
Hey all.. I'm new to JayisGames but have been playing My Tribe for a few weeks now. I gotta say its soooooooo much more fun than VV.. and I loved that game.
I've gone through the FAQs and noticed there's no mention of what happens when one of the crates unleash the shimmering coloured mist..
What does it do to the tribe member? Anyone know?
My tribe had 76 people at one time. I let some of the old people die and made sure I had 13 woman that could have babies and 13 available huts. Than I made sure they were all on the far side of the island where the huts were far and gave all the women the twins potion . And there u go you can have way more people than 50
to pam:
returning to the same island as you been before does not keep your old buildings. at least when i went from one island (#56) to the same island (#56) i had to rebuild everyting.
[Edit: Well, that's odd. When I returned to the same island, everything was still there. I'll have to try it again and see what happens. -Pam]
I discovered a cheat accidentally and thought I may share it.
If you want to build up your supply of Moondust or Star dust quickly.
Build a celestial or lunar tower. Progress it's construction slighty (it need only be 1%). Then demolish. I choose to do this with a dose of stardust for speed. You will get the usual astral shower associated with completing the building - but without all the effort and time!
[Edit: This has already been mentioned here in the comments. -Jay]

To Emnee:
There is a known bug regarding profiles. Here is the reply from the developers about it: "If you delete a profile, then add another, the new profile added can overwrite any other existing profile. To prevent, don't delete any profiles, just add new ones."
To Losser:
You need to have level 3 Construction technology to build the Observatory. It will show up on the build screen and you can place the foundation just like the other buildings.
How do you keep a person alive for the full 969 years when you move islands. Above it says that all living tribe members move with you, but when I moved it only took about 15 of them and left the person I had at 150. The next time I put my oldest member 86 in the boat and it still took only a handful of the younger members.
To Jan:
Everyone who is alive at the time you sail is supposed to make it to the new island. The tombstones of the ones who have died stay on the old island. I've sailed to several new islands and my whole tribe has always appeared on the new island. That's a strange thing. Maybe the ones you're looking for actually died before sailing.
To Jenny:
Yes, the fountain water stays with you for the rest of the game after you solve that mysterious object, even when you change islands.
I wonder if anyone can help me, I have read the whole of this forum and no-one seems to have had the same problem as me.
I maxed out my population on my first island and when i tried to make my tribe mate it said i already had the max amount. I have moved island twice and some of my tribe have died so i now want to have more babies but if i drag two people together it comes up with the "do you want them to mate?" message but if you click yes they just carry on doing whatever they want and don't mate.
I have got plenty of free huts so thats not the problem, and they are old enough (not too old) to have children. I can't work out what else I can do to make this happen and i am worried that my tribe are going to all die if i dont find out soon!
Thanks
To Stephanie:
I know for sure that giving the scared gray person the youth potion when they get old doesn't change their hair back. It stays gray. You can try one of the hair color potions to see if it will work. And try a moondust. If it stays gray after all that, then it's going to stay gray forever.
To Carol Barlow:
Try restarting your game. Make double sure that they are the right age and everything. Double check your population. If you drop them onto each other and get the baby message, click yes. Then be sure not to touch either of them. If you click on either of the parents-to-be, it can interrupt what they are doing and they'll go back to working. If none of this works, you may want to go back to the site where you originally purchased the game and download it again.
Need help! I have put my scientist by the stone rock with the moon shape on it and it says that it is vibrating and waiting for something. What is the something??? Also I have planted all the flowers on the pattern and they all came up except one yellow one,and I put it there but no one will hoe it and after three tries it dissapears. Can anyone tell me what to do. Any help would be great!
I have told a lot of my friends about this game and they all love it by now.
There for i am busy to translate it to Dutch (not all my friends understand English very well), if there is somebody that also would like to have it in Dutch .... please let me know
Just to be clear, the translation is loss from the game
The best wishes for 2009 for all of you
To Maggie:
Level 3 in art will give you another top and bottom in the clothing hut. You'll have three choices of each instead of just two.
To Debbie:
You probably need to look in the walkthrough for help with the moon stone. As for the last flower, it shouldn't disappear. Keep trying to plant it.
To Safisana101:
I'm not aware of a potion to make them old. They will age faster if you put the game on fast speed, but you'll have to keep a closer eye on it to make sure they don't starve.
I don't know whether anyone else has had the same issue as me, because I just sat down and read all six pages and didn't see it mentioned once.
This happens constantly for me. I can erase one or two flowers, but the instant that I try to get rid of the third or fourth, my game crashes.
And it's not like an alert that it crashes, either. It goes back to the main screen, has that "sailing to your tribe" graphic, and iot stays there. I've tried to wait it out, but after about 15 minutes of that I got bored. When I right click on the My Tribe button thing on my task bar and click close, then the screen pops to the "pick your island" thing.
It's not really something to get in a tiff about, but it's frustrating for me because I like adding little mosaics occasionally, and I can't fix them at all without crashing my game. ;(
I am trying to increase my stardust. I created a new celestial tower, used moondust to make the construction 1%, then demolished it (again with a moondust). But nothing happened, no shower of stardust. Is this because I'm already building another celestial tower on the island?
Also, I read several times on here that items aren't used up when you make potions. I know lodestone is hard to come by so I watch my level closely. When I use it in a potion, it uses one up.
Thanks for any help...
I don't know if anyone else posted this but I have another crate
I found a crate that had 10 stardust in it.
And I figured out what happened in my last post i did of another crate. The crate said she felt energized and what it did was fill her mental and Physical skills to the max. Thats why she was going faster then everyone else
To Ericka:
Thanks for mentioning this about the game crashing when erasing the 3rd or 4th flower. It happens to me, too, and I thought it was just a glitch in my copy of the game. I'll see if I can find out anything more about it.
To Casa:
There is no guarantee that you'll get a shower of stardust when you demolish a tower. That's not the way the game is designed to work. It's more of a glitch than anything. If you continue on with building the tower, I'm sure you'll get the shower of stardust.
As for the ingredients used in potions, it's only the liquid and catalyst that doesn't get used up (unless the potion blows up). The element part of the potion (mushrooms, vegetables, wood, rock, lodestone, etc.) does get used up with each potion you make.
I am looking for some comments or help on the final tropy of getting a tribe member to 949 years old. I do the youth potion every time the person hits age 65 and they go back to age 36. My oldest person is about 300 years old but feels 36. Is there another potion that ages the person to expedite this challenge? It takes about 18 hours to go from age 36 to 65 so i keep checking back.
Also, If I uninstall the game while I am out of town when I get back and reinstall does anyone know if I keep all my progress and tribe at its current ages and state? Hate to have all my people die on me and have to start over....
Thanks!
Pam, please help! My son and I have only been playing this game for about a week, we have a happy little tribe of 21 people. Your hints are a life-saver! We have an odd problem (maybe). We started to build the dock (1%), when my son decided he didn't like the placement. Hit demolish, then hit build again, but then the dock was no longer an option to build, yet the ark was!! Not knowing what else to do, we are building the ark on the beach. My son is very upset thinking we ruined the game, and our lille tribe will not be able to sail to a new island. What do you think?!
To Mary:
Your game will be fine. The ark is actually the thing you need to sail to another island. The game thinks that you built the shipyard, so you got the next step, which is the ark. Just keep building the ark and when it's done, your tribe will be able to sail to a new island.
Let me know if you have any problems. :)
To Mary:
Stardust and Moondust does have an effect on the ark, it's just that the ark is such a large building project that sometimes it doesn't show up in the complete percentage. Actually, the best way to get large buildings done is to close the game for awhile. When you open it back up, it's done or almost done.
To Jenny:
The thing with the dust showers upon demolishing the tower foundations is just a fluke. Who knows why it happens or why it doesn't.
Is there anyway to go back in time? I left mine running and my tribe was so food obsessed that even the people I had marked to harvest trees for some reason either worked on construction or went fishing all the time. So, obviously, all my people died. I even had trees marked for harvest. So annoying cause I had been working really hard on this tribe and was on their 2nd island. I figure it must have been a weird bug or something. But back to the question, is there anyway i can get my tribe back?
Thanks for the help with the moon rock. But still having same problem with the flower pattern. I have even erased the flowers, replanted, and tried to get everyone to hoe the flower but it still dissapears or either it puts me back to the beginning screen sailing back to my tribe. Can anyone help? PLEASE
I purchased My Tribe from "Big Fish Games" and I am really enjoying it, but I have a glitch and I'm not sure how to fix it... When I go to "build" something, it pops up for anywhere from half a second to maybe 3 seconds, and then it disappears... I am continually having to go in to the Build menu and just randomly click... Now I'm trying to build my ark and cannot because it keeps disappearing before I can get a good location... Anyone else have this problem and/or a suggestion for how to fix it? Please help! Thanks!
To Debbie:
At this point, it's probably best to try the flower puzzle again on a different island. You'll be able to start it fresh and hopefully it will work better for you.
To Becky Welch:
I haven't heard of that bug. Have you tried closing and restarting the game? You may need to download it again from Big Fish Games.
To Jodi:
Each storage building will hold 600 units.
To Ericka:
Regarding the issue of the game crashing when you erase more than a couple of flowers, I got this information from the developers -
"Yes, that's a bug, and unfortunately we have not been able to track it down as it only happens on some machines (not on our test machines!).
However, there is a workaround. Apparently when it says "sailing to your tribe", you can still move your mouse around and click the "menu" button at the bottom-right corner of the screen. You can then click "Save and Exit" and go back to the main menu. You can then click "Play" again to go back to the game and continue to play.
Also, if this happens to you a lot, you can erase flowers using the "erase all" button, rather than by erasing them individually.
Hope this helps!"
Thanks Pam, It shows berries in my lab but the quanity is zero. I have sailed to another island with no bush now so will have to wait til I set sail again, lol. Thanks again.
