ok for you people having trouble with the red rock mystery it's actully pretty easy. a few of you got it half right when you guessed what was wrong.
you have to drop a legendary scientist on the rock but ALSO that person HAS to have legendary satues in construction. if they don't it won't work. i read that in the walk through where it tells you how to solve ALL the mysteries. oh and for all of you having trouble with the flower mystery look at the flowers on the ground. see the gaps? well look at the pattern and fill in the blanks then you should get the trophy for it. but it is not relly worth figuring out it just gives you the orange color flower. no biggie.
Is there a potion for lodestone?
If you put Construct Shipyard, set it in place, than, before anyone works on it, demolish it, go back to the Build page, and you can build the ship. Lots easier than building the shipyard
Is there anything important for Lodestone besides making moon and stardust? Because I use it a lot to make that but I don't want to waste it all if it is going to be important for something I need...
Also, do you need more than one golden relic? Because I only have one that I just use for potions.
Thanks so much!!!
I tried several times and finally got quite good maximum of the population. first I had max 54 then 59 then 61 and now I got 69 people of my tribe. Interested if anyone had more?
All my people are getting older...
Should I put the youth spell on all of them? Or let some die?
About youth potion vs. letting them die -
My personal strategy is to give them all youth potion and to watch the oldest ones especially close. They are my best chance of making it to the trophy. I put my oldest 10 in bright red tops and bottom, so I can easily identify them. If someone is sleeping when I'm giving out youth potion, then they just miss out. This way, I'm making effort toward giving them all youth potion, but some will still die if they miss their dose because they were sleeping or if they got too old while I was away. Also, keep in mind, that the old ones who take the youth potion can become parents again. You may need that if your population dies off too much.
does anyone know how to get rain to make potions?
You have to make the potions while it's raining. You can make it rain with this potion:
What's the island number for Red Rock Island? I'd love to see that.
You have two options that I can see: 1) Build your ark and leave the island like you would any other island. 2) Start the game over on a different island.
Is there anything important for Lodestone
besides making moon and stardust?
Because I use it a lot to make that but I don't want to waste it all if it is going to be important for something I need...
do you need more than one golden relic? Because I only have one that I just use for potions.
I looked over the potions list and I only saw two more that use lodestone.
Lodestone+Rain+Stardust creates a crate/barrel.
Lodestone+Rain+Moondust speeds construction
As for golden relics, I haven't seen another use for them.
Can someone tell me if I start a new user, can I do 2 islands at the same time?
Yes. You just need to create a second profile for the new game. Then go into change user to switch back and forth between the two games. They will be totally seperate from each other.
I keep reading that the sound must be on for the observatory to make a noise when stardust/moon dust lands. The only options in the settings are the volumes (both of which are on max) and an option for special effects to be on or off (which doesn't seem to make a difference anyway - but it's ticked as on). What exactly do I have to turn on? I've built 3 observatories on 3 islands now and none of them give me any fog horn effects. I've searched everywhere for more sound options but there aren't any - help!!!
Have you double checked the sound level on your computer? Also, do you hear the other sound effects in the game like fire crackling, snoring sleepers, stardust and moondust landing/being picked up? Your settings seem to be correct on the game.
Hi Pam - have all the fire, star dust etc etc sounds and the volume on my computer is set to about one third of max so do I need to set it higher? Can't hear any snoring so perhaps the computer volume is the problem. Will give it a try anyway. Thanks:)
It worked!!! Had to turn volume up full on computer (it hasn't got a very good sound system) and turn the music right down on the game but I now have a very faint warning hooter (and very loud sound effects). The music was covering the sound before. Thanks again :)
Angie, what's the island number for Red Rock Island? I'd love to see that too.
Reading through the comments I seem to remember there was some debate about whether your buildings would still be there if you returned to an island. Have just moved back to my previous island and all my lovely buildings had disappeared. Fortunately I'd backed up my save files so at least I can get back to where I had just left if I want to (yes, I know that's cheating but I was gutted to find I'd lose absolutely everything if I set sail again - not sure I can face a total rebuild again just yet).
Moshann, I'm a bit confused. So when you move to another island, then go back to your previous island, all your buildings go away?
Yes, I definitely went back to the right island but there wasn't a single building which was really disappointing. If anyone knows a way of returning and the buildings still being there I would very much like to know about it.
You probably won't find anything in these comments about red rocks falling on the island because it hasn't happened as far as I can tell. I have a tribe that is ready to sail to another island, so if you'll give me the number of your Red Rock Island, I'll go to the same island in my game and see what I can figure out. To find the Island number, click on the map button in the lower left corner. You will see the island number at the bottom center of the next screen, under the map of the island.
Thanks for letting me know. My tribe has 130,000 science points, and we're saving up for level 3 construction so we can get the boat and sail to other islands. Now I might wait a bit to see if there is a solution to this problem.
If you wait to see if there's a solution to the issue of going back to an island not finding your buildings, you'll be missing out on part of the game. There's a trophy for going to several islands. It's just part of the game that you have to rebuild everything once you get to a new island. Without that aspect, your tribe members wouldn't have anything to do.
Thanks for your comments to Olivia about exploring new islands and tribe members having something to do. I had already decided not to go back to my backup file but to continue rebuilding the same island again so am glad I made the right decision. Only wish I'd gone to a new island instead since I've got to rebuild anyway!!!
I'm having trouble with the plant mystery the one where it has the ring of flowers around it i was just wondering if anyone could help me.
Ok, thanks. Ok, so today, I went into the science tab to see how many points I had. I was up to 330,000, and I was saving up for 400,000 construction. When I went into the tab, I accidently clicked the research arts tab for 200,000! So I am back to 130,000 points, and I'm very upset. I am not very patient(haha) so is there anything I can do to get points faster?(other than the fossil, because I already did that)
You can find the solution for the flower mystery in the walkthrough section located at the top of this page.
I'm afraid there's no easy way to gain tech points. Just put as many people you can spare on the science lab. Sometimes extra points come in the crates and barrels, but it's random.
I found it helped build up points by constantly throwing moondust onto the science lab. If you've maxed out the research each moondust is worth quite a few points but it's still a slow process and it does require actually playing the game to collect the moondust. Stardust helps as well, but not as much.
How do I solve the bush?
Solutions for all of the mysterious objects can be found in the walkthrough section located at the top of this page.
Hi everyone, I have been lurking here for a while and have found very useful info, so thanks.
But not I have a question....
I am on my 4th island and can't seem to catch any fish.... I know there was a comment that as you get better at the game fishing gets harder but now I can't seem to get any!!!
This is not a problem as far as feeding my tribe, but I can't make the magical rain potion which is causing issues for solving the mysterious objects.
Can anyone help me?
I am only on level one of tech and the guy I am working on (to get 100/100) just got his hair turned gray! What can I do?
The only thing you can do is give him the youth potion, but you're not far enough along in the game to be able to make it. Plus, you would need to have solved the fountain mysterious object.
I tried to give him some hair color changing potions but it wouldn't work. I am working towards the third tech right now. I am not sure it will work.
Also, does anyone know what the minute/year ratio is on here for the fastest setting? Just wondering,
Yeah, changing his hair color won't work. It's an age issue you're dealing with. It's common to lose a lot of tribespeople before you have the ability to make a youth potion.
Sorry, but I don't know the year/minute ratio. I check my game once or twice a day and it has to be on the slow setting or I have too many people die while I'm away.
Wierd: I started a CT and an Ark at the same time, but as I cannot work out how to place rocks (Help With That, Please? It's hit and miss for me whether the rock will appear or not..how close to other objects should it go? Simple problem - but Oh, so annoying.)
Anyway - back to CT. I got to 2% and decided to demolish.
Next thing, the heavens were rejoicing and I got a bucketful of stars. I see where people have completed and demolished - but so far I havent seen 2% completion having the same effect. Apologies if this is a repeat
Wouldn't it be great if we could train kids to pick up stuff. They could be naughty and forget or lose it etc, but it would be an extra dimension, plus I'd love to get rid of this tedious part of the game. That said - I have wasted a lot of the Easter break playing this.
And Art - just not that exciting is it? Is there anywhere to communicate ideas/suggestions to the developer?
Thanks for reading,
[Edit: What you experienced with the shower of stardust after demolishing the tower is a bug in the game that has been fixed in the most current version. -Pam]
Every single time I sail to a new island, the game crashes! And yes, all my tree saplings are full grown. HELP!
what do the powders in the crates mean
Its fine now. What you need to do is:
You need to restart the computer or make the center screen smaller I think you can do that by going to options.
My last post was about sailing to new islands.
And thanks jay & pam! You really help me with games!!!
hey i looked through all the comments but i could not find the number for lodestone island. what is it?
I'm positive there's an island number for Lodestone Island somewhere in the comments, several pages back probably.
well pam i went through all the comments but i never did find lodestone island but i found a whole bunch of other island numbers
I am ready to leave my island except for the actual construction of my ark. I marked off most of my 47 tribe members to do the construction in the details screen but they just stand around relaxing, or daydreaming, or eating, or walking, or resting. I can manually pull them over to the ark and they take a few swings at it and then walk away. They will do any of the other tasks I prioritize for them, but not construction. I can use my moondust but want to have plenty of that when I land at our new destination to aid in new tasks. I'm confused and frustrated. Help me please!
i've been playing the game for a few days, & i'm on my 2nd island. i'm almost afraid to turn off my pc in case a catastrophe of some sort occurs while i'm not around. ;) i left my tribe for 2 hrs, & when i came back there's a mystery baby! i thought mystery babies appear only when a tribe member dies. i don't know whose baby it is. i know, i'm weird. i'm really nutty when it comes to keeping track of things like that. anyway, just want to say tnx so much coz i got loads of info from this site on making my game the best it can be. more power, people!
About building the ark -
There is a lot more involved than just putting your people on construction. It's equally important to have people gathering rock and wood, which are both needed in large quantities to build the ark. You'll rarely see more than one or two people actually working on the ark at a time. Also remember that the tribe has to be fed and 47 is a good sized tribe, so you need several people assigned to fishing and harvesting crops. My suggestion is to go back and redistribute the preferences and balance them between construction, rock gathering, wood gathering, fishing, and agriculture. And some on the science lab if you still need those points. Your people won't stand around and do nothing and your ark will be built fairly quickly considering it's a large project.
Mystery babies can always show up. I have a few tribes that I let run randomly and they are always getting little mystery babies. But I still have to check in every now and then because I need to set their priorities.
Thanks for the tips Pam. I did have enough wood, rocks, plenty of food, (over 2000 for each of them) and science points when I was trying to force everyone to build the ark. However, when I left the game for a couple of hours and went back my ark was built! Thanks so much for all of the wonderful tips etc. on this website you and others have contributed. I never would have made it this far without y'all. Happily I made it to the next island and gave the fountain of youth potion to my oldest tribe member who was 74! Now she feels 36 again.
Iv just finished building my first ark. I really dont want to travel to a stupid island where my tribe will not thrive. Can anyone recomend some really good islands and their numbers? Besides Lodestone Island - Im on that now.
Looking back at all the comments in this forum I can see (especially at the beginning) that there is alot of debate about the maximum population (which is 50). I have 62 people in my tribe. heres how I did it:
For this to work your population MUST be between 48-49. wait until you have 5 or more females of under 42 years. give them all the twin potion (mushrooms+sea+stardust)and then make them all have babies AT THE SAME TIME. If you reach the max population level before you have told them to have babies then it will not work. when the first couple has their babies then the population level will be reached. but all the females THAT YOU HAVE TOLD TO HAVE BABIES BEFORE THE MAX POPULATION IS REACHED will contuine to have babies until they are all done. Make sure you have enough huts.
I found the comment for the number for lodestone island a couple of pages back (like pam said) and my tribe and I are thriving on it. heres lodestone islands number:
Maybe you were looking so hard for it that you didnt see it. Thats what always happens to me :)
to pam and zc:
When people turn 65 and their hair color turns grey, i always give the black hair color potion and it works.
Note: In case the game was updated, i brought it somewhere in early march.
When you use the black hair potion, does it change their age? Because otherwise, it's not really helping with the real issue.
I opened a bad box in My Tribe and got 10 more Stardusts! So I guess some bad looking ones might actually be good. :)
There aren't any "stupid islands" where your tribe won't thrive. All of the islands have the same resources of wood, rock, and fish. They all have space for buildings. It's just that some are different shapes and have different mysterious objects. If your tribe lands on an island and doesn't thrive, it's because they've been neglected. Not because of the island. :)
Sorry for the delayed response. Here's a tip to get some fish to use in potions.
If your food pile is at the max, drop some people on it so they'll eat a few units. Then, before they fill it back up to max, use a stardust on the pile. Stardust puts fish on the food pile. Then quickly go to the potions lab and use the fish in your potion before it gets eaten.
I've got a mystery baby! - have read the comments about them but wasn't expecting to get one as I have a nice healthy tribe of 50 and the new arrival has taken the tribe over the maximum. Even more interesting, the new baby has 100% strength and 99% mental strength. I'd only left the tribe alone for an hour or so - amazing what they get up to in my absence!!!
quick science points.
you can do a google search for "quick memory editor" and then use it to search for the value of your current science points than use the program to edit you points to a higher value.
Thanks for the tip but what I meant was: are there any islands like lodestone Island? Is there a sturdust island that gives you more stardust than usual? Id love to go to an island that has more moondust or stardust falling!!!
I have solved all the mystery objects except the red rock and the fossil rock. As for the red rock, I have never had a legendary construction person since I've been playin the game lol. I'd just like to say I really enjoy the game. After usin all your sience points, they just keep addin up. Is there anything you can do with them?
I'm also having trouble using the potion to make a rock. I've clicked all over the ground, but I never get a rock (and I'm running so low, I had to pause my game).
How much space do I need to make a rock?
Does the potion only work on grass, or also on sand?
Ah, ok. I haven't heard of any islands that produce more stardust or moondust than the others. However -
Once you solve the moon rock and star rock mysterious objects, the amount of moondust and stardust increases slightly. But the best way to get lots of dust is to build the towers.
You'll get someone to legendary status in construction if you just keep after it. As for science points, once you've purchased all of the technology, you don't need them anymore.
You can only create rocks on grass and you need some space around them. About as much as you need for anything that requires space (like trees and buildings).
Thanks, Pam. I'm sure that will help! I've just finished building my NEW celestial and lunar towers (I destroyed the old ones) and I got a massive fall of stardust and moondust. Thanks again all of you!
Who hates using all their workfoce to build a shipyard? A shipyard that can olny offer the blueprint for the actual ship? Because if you do heres some good news: you dont have to build a shipyard to build a ship. Heres how I did it:
Go onto the building menu then select the shipyard and place it. then, before you start building it, demolish it. If you go onto the building menu you will see that you can now build an ark. Easy as pie. Sorry if someone has already mentioned this and I hope it helps!
Im pretty sure someone has already asked this but now I cant find it in the comments. If you unlock a mysterious object then do you keep the effect ( not like a berry bush that actually GIVES you something-I know you keep that )like when you unlock the celestial starstone and more star dust falls, then when you move to another island will lots of star dust CARRY ON falling?
I didn't notice any decrease in the stardust/moondust fall when I moved to a different island. I think once you solve that mysterious object, you'll get the benefit of increased dust falls on all islands.,
Phew!!!! Thnanks Pam I was really worried!
On fast game speed, 1 hour is on year. Advancing time on your computer is only a problem if you have scheduled tasks, I do it all the time for this game and Plant Tycoon.
[Edit: We strongly advise against changing your computer clock. It can mess up your game and other functions that rely on the clock. -Pam]
I don't know if anyone noticed it yet, (and I just want to share it), but we can get INSTANT STAR/MOONDUST!
Click build, pick celestial or lunar tower, put it on the ground, and quickly demolish it. Voila! You have dust shower! It works, I tried it three times for each tower, and now I have more than 100 dust each. I think the game couldn't tell the difference between actually built it or simply demolished it.
[Edit: What you describe is a bug in the game that has been fixed in the most recent version. Anyone who has the newer version won't have this same result. -Pam]
I agree with Pam...changing the time on the computer can make the game crash and reset the trophies and the game! Believe me I know from experience!
My 100/100 parents seldom produce 100/100 children. They're usually 90+/90+, often with 100 in mental or physical.
Has this changed with a new version from the one used for the walkthrough and hints, or is it because I always use the twins potion? Are singletons more likely to be 100/100 if both their parents are?
If you have 100/100 parents, it makes no difference to their strengths whether you produce singletons or twins. However, I have found that even when both parents are 100/100, the bad genes from THEIR parents come into the babies/baby. If you give the babies/baby the increase physical/mental strength potion (depending on which one they are lacking) when they grow up and make them have kids and make their kids have kids....eventually all of the bad genes are flushed out but you still get a rotten apple every once in a while!
How many huts do you have to have for a tribe of 50? I would be really grateful if someone told me.
I usually have 5 to 6 huts for 50 people.
hey every time I try to move to the next island my game crashes ..... anyone know why???
Is there any possible way to revive a dead tribe member, because I had "Mike", and he had 100% of all stats.
That's a bug in your game. You need to make sure all of your saplings are grown before you try to travel to another island.
To Lord Jacien:
No, once they're dead, they're gone for good.
I was reading up on this game and it said there can only be 50 people on an island. I have had 71 in total so far.
The standard maximum population is 50, but many folks have found ways around it.
Has anyone found an island with star, moon, and the fossil on it?
Your children can pick up mushrooms and stardust and moondust. Mine do but only when they become a girl or boy, not when they are infants. Haven't tried other things.
FYI, to those of you who are planning to "forward" the clock on your computer to cheat, be very very careful!
Once you've forwarded your clock, make sure that you don't save+quit and then set the clock back to its original time right away. The game only registers the time, not the date. So for example if it's 1pm now, and you forward the clock to 8pm, save+quit and then change your clock back to 1pm, the game will assume that it's 1pm THE NEXT DAY. I did this and found all my people starving.
That said, I'd rather not try that again. So unless you're very sure that you've set everything correctly, don't do this!
[Edit: We strongly advise against changing your computer clock at all. Not only can it ruin your game, it can also mess up other functions that rely on the computer clock. -Pam]
I have a list of what skills the mist from crates and barrels raise.
Blue = Fishing
Green = Wood
White = Rock
Yellow = Construction
Brown = Agriculture
Gold = Science
Purple = Artist
Hope this helps!
okay, i got two people to 100/ 100 and i had them make twins, and the babies are 100/ 84 and 100/ 82. i thought you said that wasn't supposed to happen... please help!!!!!
Hi I have been playing for several days straight and your tips and stuff really help but my tribe has never gotten any lodestone in the crates or barrels. Can you tell me whats going on?
My glowing stump will not show up...I can see it on the map (overhead view), but it's no where to be found on the island....what's wrong?
i'm new at here and i'm portuguese, sorry if my english write isn't the best xD
i love this game! but i'm stuck solving the mystery of the flower tree... =(
i have already plant flowers white, yellow, blue and purple near the flower tree but nothing happen...PLEASE HELP ME!!! thanks =D
I don't think the 100/100 happens 100% of the time.
The lodestone shows up randomly. Just keep checking the crates and barrels. It will show up eventually.
If you've already solved the Glowing Stump, it won't show up on your new islands. However, the benefits gained from solving it will remain.
To Miss AfrOdite:
Please check the walkthrough section located at the top of this page. Look under the spoiler for Mysterious Objects, then look under Flower Tree. You'll find instructions, as well as screenshots to help you. :)
this is very complicated =/
sorry but i can't solve de mystery of the flower tree..! after planting the flowers near the flower tree what is the next step??
I want to make one of my tribesman live a really long time. Please help I have already done:
I used the youth potion on him and he felt 36. Now he feels 52. Do I have to wait till his hair is gray again to use the potion again. I have never tried before so I don't know if his hair will turn gray again or not. I don't want to try and use the potion and it not work and lose my items. He is 86 and feels 52. His hair is still red. But he can't make babies anymore. He could for a while.
Thanks for the help.
After putting down the correct flowers, drop an adult on them to plant them.
Your person's hair will turn gray again when he feels around age 65. That's when you can give the youth potion again. Also, they stop having babies around age 45 (real age and feeling age).
what are the correct colors of the flowers wich i have to plant??please help me PAM...i'm totally bloked =/
I'll try to help you with the colors of the flowers.
Here is a screenshot of the flower tree before anything is planted:
Now, starting with the outside circle of flowers on the left side and going counterclockwise:
Plant a YELLOW flower in the first empty spot.
Plant a WHITE flower in the next empty spot.
Plant another WHITE flower in the last empty spot.
Now, move to the middle circle of flowers, again starting on the left and going counterclockwise:
Plant a WHITE flower in the first empty spot.
Plant a PURPLE flower in the second empty spot.
Ok, next move to the inside circle of flowers, on the left and going counterclockwise:
Plant a DARK BLUE flower in the first empty spot.
Plant a LIGHT BLUE flower in the second empty spot.
You have planted a total of 7 flowers in the circles around the flower tree. They look like little piles of dirt, so drop an adult onto the piles of dirt to plant the flower and make it appear.
When you are finished, it should like like this picture:
You can see where the flowers are now planted in the empty spots.
If you've already tried too many times and have the wrong flowers in the spots, you should probably wait until you're on another island that has the flower tree puzzle and start from the beginning. It would be hard to erase the wrong flowers and try to put the correct flowers in.
I hope this helps you! :)
Thank you so much Pam. I solved it!
[Edit: I'm so glad! Yay!! -Pam]
My Tribe will not have any more children! I have 27 Tribe's people. When I drop one of my woman onto one of men it says "do you want ____ and ____ to have a baby?"
And I click yes, Then they walk off and go back to work. They do not call the stork. I have been playing this game for quite a while now and I have never had this problem. Please does anyone know what is wrong?
This is just something that happens. It might be a small bug in the game or maybe it's supposed to happen. Either way, you just have to be persistent whenever it happens. Keep dropping them over and over until they call the stork. :)
Can someone teach me how to move to another island on the same account? I messed up and pressed 'Start New Tribe' thinking that'll move me to another island, and lost everything. T.T Thank you in advance!
Thank you so much Pam. They do have babies when I drop them a few times. I just don't understand why that hasn't happened before and then all of a sudden they need convincing.
to get to another island:
After you upgrade your Construction you will be able to build a Shipyard. Once your Shipyard is finished you will be able to build an Ark. Then you drag one of your tribes people to the Ark and it will ask you if you want to move to another island.
